If you're vegan or plant-based and visiting Phoenix, Earth Plant Based Cuisine is a must. This place is 100% vegan and absolutely packed with flavor -- a true staple in the area that never seems to slow down. The menu leans heavily into Mexican comfort food and everything we tried was delicious. The tacos were loaded with grilled fillings, onions, cilantro, and creamy sauces that hit all the right notes. It's hearty, satisfying, and honestly the kind of food that even non-vegans would happily devour. Pro tip: if you're someone who loves serious heat, bring your own hot sauce. Nothing here is particularly spicy -- not even their "hot" sauces -- but once you add a little kick, you're good to go. Bonus: it's attached to Goji Berry Eatery & Bakery, so you can easily grab an açaí bowl, smoothie, coffee, or vegan dessert after your meal. Between the two spots, this little corner is basically a full-on plant-based paradise.

Top Vegan Mexican food in Phoenix. We had the fish tacos, chicken wings (lemon pepper) and a Cali burrito. The burrito was huge and was very tasty. The lemon pepper wings were unreal. Their hot sauces are really tasty. Side note: Everyone is very nice at this location. Everything was really clean including the restrooms

Asada tacos w/ cabbage & Chimichanga

My friend and I stopped by on our way through Phoenix and had a great quick meal! We were looking for counter service food that was also fresh and tasty. It was dinner times, and the workers all seemed to be moving around a lot but working efficiently. The inside is all, but there is plenty of seating inside and some outside as well. I ordered the Asada tacos and added cabbage, and my friend ordered the Chimichanga. The food came out fast. The Chimichanga was large and my tacos were good! I loved the homemade corn tortillas. I would need to try more food here in order to raise another star. I do wish there was more incorporation of other plant-based foods, as many of the dishes here are just soy substitutes meant to taste like meat, which isn't always my favorite.

This plant based restaurant located in a strip mall offers delicious, flavorful food, which is seasoned perfectly. I ordered the carnitas tacos, which were filled with mushrooms instead of pork and topped with avocado. I also ordered the Flautas de papa, (filled with potato). Each of these dishes tasted amazing. This coupled with the beautiful food presentation only enhanced my dining experience.

Omg! So crazy good. I had the chilaquiles with added chicken and it was so good and SO much food! I wish i lived nearby and could try more of the dishes. My husband had the chicken and waffle and really enjoyed it as well. Cute cafe and friendly staff. Great place!

Earth was a good experience up until the end when some of the staff dismissed us and our leftovers ended up being thrown away. We found that this was due to an accident and they ended up replacing them, which was so nice of them. The vibe from the staff, especially the management, was not the best as my friend complemented them on their amazing food--especially since this was his third time there in two days. Their food is seasoned so well that it is difficult to believe that everything in the menu is vegan. I am not vegan, but I enjoy eating more plant based, so I was excited to try Earth. Minus one star for the staff. You can get good food anywhere so for the way we were treated warrants this. But, the fact that they replaced it was kind. I will be back for more of the flautas!! Love that it comes with toppings and options for their salsa--that was the only thing missing in my Togo box that they told me would be there!

Oh man, I really wanted to love this place. We stopped during a layover in Phoenix & the staff was outstanding, the Mexican music was great, & the food was okay -- while we were there. We ordered asada tacos & the limited time special, Surf & Earth burrito. The tacos my mom had were great, she had no complaints. When they brought out the burrito I had ordered I was shocked, it was huge! (I feel the staff could have taken the time to provide a little more detail regarding their special and mention the size of the burrito because they had a screen advertising the special & it was not as big as the one they brought out.) Well I ask to get it cut in half & it didn't really look quite edible but I gave it a try & yeah, it really wasn't. The surf part of the burrito was gooey, so I didn't eat that part & removed it with a fork. The beans & rice & tomato's tasted like they had been a few days old & when we asked for salsa, the staff provided plastic bottle "salsas" that were creamy dressings that lacked spice & flavor. Since the restaurant advertises as vegan Authentic Mexican Cuisine, it was pretty disappointing. Well we leave & I start to feel a little nauseous in the Uber back to our hotel. We get to the hotel & yes, the worst happens. I was highly disappointed & again, I wanted to love this place because the staff were so friendly, the restaurant was really cute but the food was ... just not it -- overall I hope we just stopped in on a bad day.

I've been to this spot about twice. Ample parking. Sufficient seating. Walk up ordering. Serve and pour your own water. Mostly Mexican cuisine. Not overwhelmingly welcoming, but acceptable service. I received it as an introvert's paradise of "great place to chill, read, work, decent healthy food and no one will bother you".

Okay, I get it, vegan restaurants are exciting for vegans. They are rare and the ability to eat everything on the menu is a real treat. However, we have to hold them to the same standards as regular restaurants. That said, my hopes may have been set too high by other helpful yet excited fellow Yelpers. We drove 45 minutes to try this restaurant. I was hungry. I may have asked too many questions at the counter or perhaps it was my admission to being a pescatarian, but I started to feel a bit less welcome while ordering. My sweetheart went with the bbq sandwich. I opted for the potato flautas. We waited a short time in the small attractive space located in a deserted looking strip mall. There is indoor or outdoor seating and a cute coffee spot attached. It was not crowded. Both of our meals were nicely presented at our table on metal trays and looked tasty. The sandwich was flavorful with saucy seitan on a slightly dry ciabatta roll. The fries added on were unexceptional. The flautas were pretty good, crispy but not dry, fried but not greasy, warm but topped with lots of lettuce. But, they were a bit boring and unsatisfying. I kept wanting to steal a bite of my hubby's bbq to add some pizzazz to my meal. It might be okay to share, but 3 of the same were too much of an okay thing. We did not try the highly touted milk shakes after learning they were flavored with syrups. All in all, a good little spot with a lot going for it, but don't set your expectations too high.

I didn't know this place was veggie based products. I got chorizo fries and the spooky birria tacos. The tacos come in sets of 3. The people here were nice, but the food was not for me lol. The chorizo fries were good and the coconut melon drink was BOMB!! But the birria tacos were not great IMO. It must be because it's veggie based products, so I'm not sure if there was even real meat or maybe something else... they just didn't taste right. The consume tasted like seafood. Not sure how that happened, but it was a disappointment. I'd come for a to-go drink though.

I can't believe I've never reviewed Earth. When I'm in this area I like to stop here for some delicious vegan food, their flautas de papa are so good. The interior is very inviting, you want to bring a friend or a book to spend the afternoon here. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Service is fast and friendly. Lots of yummy things on the menu, including amazing desserts. Come on Taco Tuesday for street tacos. Chorizo fries, burritos, sopes, wings, nachos. They have a kids menu and milkshakes!! Something for everyone.

While the line can be long, don't let it fool you because the service is quick and efficient! The restaurant is also adding a drive thru line, so that should help disperse the line inside of the restaurant. Even with how busy the restaurants can get, I've never had an issue finding a place to sit and eat. They make each item to order in front of you, you get to choose which toppings you want to add. I always order my items "con todo" with onion, cilantro, guacamole/crema, and salsa. This trip I ordered 3 especiales: caramelo (steak), gringa (pork), and gabacho (chicken). Unfortunately, they ran out of chicken, so I subbed for an extra gringa, my favorite of the 3. I also got an order of chips and queso, but be careful because the queso is addicting! They also have a help yourself salsa bar, but the salsas tend to be watery and not very flavorful. The orange one is my favorite, adds a good kick to the food. The pricing is reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get, even when I tend to over order. Overall, I will continue coming to Taco Viva any time I'm in the mood for some yummy tacos!

In the mornings it's bread and honey and at 3 it turns to Paco's. We arrived at 2:30 and decided to wait . While we waited the young lady was nice enough to give us crepes on the house. They were amazing. We ordered 2 different types of burritos (Cali and chile relleno) and a carnita taco/ birria taco and asada taco. The food was just ok. The meat had no flavor at all. The birria taco is supposed to be crunchy and it was soggy. It just was pretty mediocre tasting and I really wanted to like it. Personally the best part was the crepe that was served at bread and honey

Usually I'm camped outside with a few cocktails and I stagger my order. Just to be clear, my favorite item here is the Carne Asada Sope!!! Service was great as they gave the family recommendations. Teenagers went for the (classic Azteca & burrito Mio) burritos and birria tacos. The consommé to them was on point as they finished it all on the burritos. Greedy kids also split one of my Sope's seeing how I hyped it up... and left crumbs!!! Salsa bar is located in the corner and labeled so you don't go blazin hot unexpectedly with a salsa. For the adults, we decided to go with the Asada Fries for the group to share, the Mulitas with Carne Asada, Steet taco combo with rice & beans, horchata's and of course a Margarita (or 2) It was a bit to hot for the patio our front that evening, and they do have a another one out back. The only downside was that that bathroom was down for the night so we didn't hang out for a round 2.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.
