What a delightful spot right in the heart of the Grand arts district. A heads up that there is no indoor seating, as you order at a window and then there's an outdoor seating area-- which is lovely, but definitely a little too hot in the summer. There was no wait on a weekday late morning, and my drink and muffin were prepared very quickly, and brought out to me in the patio area. The strawberry matcha latte definitely had fresh strawberry puree, and a Lot of it, which was so satisfying! They put a good amount matcha powder, and I feel that the ratio of ingredients was perfect. This might be slightly biased because I love banana and chocolate, but the banana chocolate chip muffin might have been one of the best muffins I've ever had in my life! They warmed it up for me so the chocolate was perfectly melty, and the banana flavor was just intense enough. I would come back for that alone. The food here was really good, I would say the coffee drinks were too sweet. I felt like it was hard to taste the espresso over the flavor of the syrup. The service felt mixed, half of a good experience and the other half felt like we were being a bother by asking questions. On the other hand the tacos were very flavorful and delicious. Finally tried this place out and loved it! Located along Grand, plenty of street parking. You order at the window where they have the menu and specials. Greeted by a sweet lady who helped us decide between a few drinks. Once we ordered, we walked around to the back to find a place to sit. They have fans going in the back, so it's comfy. Drinks were brought out first and my 16oz iced cafe de olla oat milk latte with vanilla cold foam was absolutely delicious!! I drank the whole thing, it tasted so good. Stopped here on a Monday around 11am. I placed an order at the window then chilled on the patio until they brought my drink out. It's so cute here! I got a birthday latte which was a caramel macchiato with banana foam and birthday sprinkles. It was DELICIOUS. It was around $6 for a 16oz, which is standard. We tried the blueberry horchata matcha latte and the cortadillo latte. They were both very tasty! My favorite was the blueberry horchata, it was such a unique flavor. The service was pretty quick and very nice. There was a mix up with one of the drinks and they fixed it right away! Omg, spent my early Saturday morning here. Jenny at the counter was so nice, my Ubub Latte (I probably spelt that wrong lol) was so good; it is a sweeter latte which is fine cause I usually don't get them super sweet. The Chorizo Tacos were fire! Fresh tortillas, I didn't even have to ask, I just knew. The chorizo wasn't too salty at all, it was the good chorizo. They were out of the chicken sausage when I went so hopefully when I go back they have it in stock to try. The outdoor patio was a vibe! It's summer in phx so of course it's hot but they had two nice really big fans, one of them rotated and a speaker, not too loud, playing some house music. My fav. 10/10 - Def coming back $30 total for my order Honesty time: Dusty tables/coffee spills on one of the tables. But that was it! This is a low key boutique coffee shop. It's on a corner with no parking in front. You have to park on the side streets. You order at a walk up window. Come to find out the vibes are all in the back patio. There are a couple of food vendors as well. The Latin influence and authenticity shines above all. They have lots of pastries and yummy goodies I hope to try eventually. They do sell out as they are made fresh daily. The coffee I ordered was the cafe de olla iced, it was tasty had a hint of Mexican chocolate. I will order an extra shot of espresso next time. If you are in downtown Phoenix or heading to downtown Phoenix from Glendale, a new coffee and breakfast spot opened recently where Snapback Pizza was. There is ample seating in the back and they do offer plated or to go. The coffee selection is skewed towards flavored lattes, with a breakfast menu of latin inspired staples. The drip coffee is a large pour, but not one that I would go out of the way for. The hazelnut latte was good, though similar or better can be found at the many coffee shops and stands within a few steps along Grand. Both the chilaquiles and breakfast tacos were excellent, with grwat flavor and quality ingredients. The taco shells had a thickness/taste of a tamale breading, and the chips for the chilaquiles soaked up a perfectly balamced sauce. The avocado and chorizo were necessary additions, with additions being the key word, and my challenge when rating Malegria. The base cost of these items was about what I would expect at a more formal sit down, and to have these be additions for extra cost made me wonder what I would have received as a meal without...just egg in a tortilla and chips and sauce in a bowl? That said, definitely worth a stop as the breakfast options with additions were some of the better I have had in the area. read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Quaint location with a small patio in Downtown PHX. Order food items and coffee at front window, patio has a food truck with pupusas . Ordered a Chilaquiles and a latte, also ordered a cheese pupusa. The chilaquiles took about 15 mins and when it arrived the chips were all completely soggy and the scrambled eggs were runny. Self described as Latin style sandwiches, small bites and drinks this is a family run business with Mexican, Salvadoran and Guatemalan influences. This is a great addition to Grand Ave. A fellow salvadorian told me they had Salvi Horchata Latte so I came running and I was not disappointed. They opened a week ago and they are still in their soft opening hours so I strongly encourage you to check their insta for updates as I know these past couple of days they were not able to open due to some equipment issues. You order at the counter that is in the corner but in the back they have a dog friendly patio with ample seating. There's no indoor seating which may be though in the summer but the place looks great and I will definitely be supporting it - you just have to plan to come in the early hours or take it to go. Service was friendly. I got the Salvi Horchata latte - it was a tad more sweet than I would prefer but as a fellow Salvadorian I am so excited that they have Salvi horchata as a it defers from the Mexican rice horchata that most people offer in PHX. You order from the window at the front of the building and there is a patio in the back to enjoy your food and drinks. I tried their Salvadorian horchata iced latte and it was so delicious! I had never had salvi horchata before and they gave me a little taste before ordering. It's a nutty flavor and I really enjoyed it. Easy to find and plenty of street parking! I went for the first time on a Sunday- the service was great, very friendly and welcoming. It's rare that I write reviews but I had the barbacoa burrito and it was so good I had to write one! The meat was really tender and flavor was great. I got it togo and wish I could've had more hot sauce. This was my second time here and the burrito has me excited to try all the other items on the menu. I understand they were limited with staffing, but it took way too long to order our food. When food was taken to kitchen, we waited a while for food to come out while other tables sat after us received their food & drinks. Server told our table one of our food orders never went through or taken even though it was read back to us when we ordered initially. I've had several things on their menu and everything has been incredibly delicious. Pambazos are usually my go to but chilaquiles and matcha potatoes are definitely great too. Coffee lattes and agua frescas are dangerously amazing i say that because I can drink iré than one at a time. That's how good they are!
