I've been to this Earthbar a handful of times and I do agree with the reviews that it tends to be understaffed/not have anyone tending the bar when necessary. I also have tried to order when the payment system was down. When you're able to get your order in, the smoothies are pretty decent. The protein powder flavor is a little grainy. The price point is as you'd expect at Equinox, however. I'd rather get one from Palmetto Superfoods or Pressed Juicery that isn't $12. It feels like Earthbar is trying to be Erewhon without the quality or unique celebrity backings/inspired flavors. read more

I love Earthbar in the city but this location is not it... unfortunately management doesn't seem to schedule breaks or enough stuff for their employees to take breaks. I came at 12:30, 30 minutes before they're scheduled to close. The sole person working is wearing AirPods and mumbles so really confused if she's talking to me. Eventually she says she's going on lunch. I'm then confused because their hours say open til 1.. no one is there to break her? She then agrees to make one last smoothie for me which I appreciate and tip for. I ordered a mint chip and it is terrible. No chocolate chips in sight. I like mint but this just tastes like straight toothpaste. And the color is off so obviously missing something. Unfortunate experience. read more

F this place. I have been going to equinox for 4 years in SF and recently moved to SM. But I like equinox so I would continue to pay $300/month to go the gym and I get a blueberry bliss in at earthbar when I go. Fortunately this equinox also had an Earthbar but...F this place. The past 2 times this place has infuriatingly let me down. Yesterday, their internet was down and I couldn't buy a drink. There was no backup plan Today, they closed at 2. Who closes at 2!? Honestly thinking of cancelling equinox because of this. The SM Equinox is definitely the jankiest equinox I have been too and their Earthbar is the icing on the cake. read more

F!%#@ this Earthbar. My hubby and I just moved to SM from SF. We would always go to the Earthbar in SF and get the blueberry bliss. It's heavenly. Unfortunately, our experience at this Earthbar in SM has been pretty f-ing bad. The first few times we tried to come here, no one was at the bar even though the gym was open. And then one day, my hubby was able to walk over when someone was actually there to make a smoothie. He got the blueberry bliss and it tasted awful. We then came on another day and there seemed to be a few staff members sitting around, but no one got up to help us. One guy who was in uniform finally said that someone was going to be right with us. So we waited maybe 5 minutes. Finally someone came to the bar and they started doing busy work around the bar but completely ignored us. We tried getting their attention but they had AirPods in and they were completely unaware of our presence. Turns out, they were actually just filling up an ice bucket at the bar for somewhere else in the gym and they didn't actually work at the bar. We were told that the person working the bar was in the bathroom and that they would be back. So we waited another 5 minutes. Another staff member came down but they were just doing other busy work around the bar and didn't actually work the bar either. They also said someone was going to be right with us. We waited another 5 mins. No one showed up. So we finally just left. What a terribly run place. In the 15 mins we stood there waiting we could have been halfway to SF to get our goddam blueberry bliss. read more

I have been a long standing customer here for over a year now. I typically order the acai bowls and some of their protein shakes. Recently their service had gone to trash and just last week they raised the prices of their acai bowls to nearly $14 and cut their portion size to half of what it was. Tucked away at the Equinox, the prices reflect the bougie levels of the gym. Healthy, sure. Organic, sure. Flavor profile? Meh. Also, they didn't have any fresh fruit in store so when I asked for an acai bowl, I would just get the blended base and no fruit topping. I opted for a berry smoothie instead which didn't have much flavor and cost me $9. Not sure how a cup of frozen in a blender operated by a push of a button justifies that but maybe it's the hemp milk? Friend got the basic ass smoothie with their Earthbar protein. Kind of reminded me of the soy milk that you dip those chinese donuts into. Which isn't a bad flavor but interesting, definitely, and not what I expected. Overall, I gotta be honest - I'm not a huge health nut, preferring flavor over nutrition so I wasn't a fan. There are tastier ways to be healthy. I probably won't be back. read more

The staff was friendly. However, she didn't know much about the product. I got a green detox smoothie, beet juice, and E3 supreme. I have tried the E3 and will update once I do. But the smoothie was maybe a six out of ten. Couldn't really taste the veggies. And it had a weird taste to it. The beet juice was just nasty. And I love beet juice. I love beet juice. I didn't think anyone could go wrong with beet juice, but they did. Nice place. And in the bay where great juice places are sparse I might go if I were desperate. I wish I had the option to do 0 stars. *NO THIS IS NOT HALF EATEN*. I come here all the time to get an açaí bowl. I never get blueberries and bananas on top and I am always satisfied. The cup is always filled to the top. I came Sunday morning 2/11 at around 10:00 am. I ordered two açaí bowls with no blueberries and bananas on top and I got a half full cup. I asked the worker why It is so small and said said it's because there is no blueberries or bananas on top. I told her I always ordered It like that and she disrespectfully responded "oh..well enjoy". This bowl isn't even fully blended. I assume that she didn't make enough but was too lazy to make more. The cup is literally half full and I have never had this problem during the many times I come here. I am a very loyal customer and come about twice a week. I have never seen this worker before and I hope I don't ever again. Oh wait... Im not coming here anymore. I am very upset with my visit because I did not get my money's worth. Smoothies are good here sometimes as they always taste different. Sometimes water sometimes perfect lend. They really need some more people working here as I've only ever seen one person working which slows down the process of you getting your drinks and the quality of the taste. Also hours always vary, Sundays they close at 2pm but you'll see it closed long before then. This place would be 5 stars if the smoothies were consistent and if they had more people on board making drinks. Your paying a premium for earthier but your not receiving the quality of what you pay for so which is why I don't go too often anymore. Honestly kind of a hit or miss type smoothie place. Their smoothies are very filling (for almost $10 per smoothie it should be) and great for post workouts, however not all of them are that great. I'd recommend the chocolate one and blueberry bliss, but definitely stay away from the Earthberry drink.
