I love this coffee shop, such a unique theme. The baristas are great and so is the coffee! They have a million flavor combos to pick from and they give knowledgeable recommendations. Everyone is so friendly and happy to help. It's like a drive thru little tiny building. We got our coffees fast ALL 3 Times we went the week we were visiting. The large iced latte has 4 shots of espresso, thank you! They make a great matcha latte too! I did hear they're moving locations so that they can have a drive thru on both sides of their building and it won't be too far from this location. Located at the outlet mall, this place is pretty cool. Wife had to have her coffee so in we went. Place was clean and comfortably air conditioned. The decor was very fun with an alien theme. This place is SOOO COOL! It's probably a good thing that this coffee shop is way out of my way, otherwise they would have all of my money. Earthling Coffee + Espresso is a super cute little drive-up coffee shop in way West Asheville on Smokey Park Hwy. They have two pull-up windows and a small outdoor window to walk up too. There is no indoor cafe with tables or anything, it's more of a place that you stop at on your way, grab your ridiculously delicious and photogenic drink and go on your way. I have been following Earthling Coffee on instagram since they came to Asheville and if you don't already do so, you need to find them on social media right now. They have the most lovely, colorful, sometimes weird looking drinks ranging from coffee and espresso, to tea, to CBD infused drinks, to lemonade, etc etc. Seriously, find them on instagram, because it's hard to explain with words the amazing selection of flavors that they offer and how awesome looking these drinks are. After I went here, I definitely parked my car and did a mini photoshoot of my drink. The gentlemen at the window taking my order (I think his name was Chris?) was very patient, welcoming, funny, and helped me pick something to drink. The menu can be a bit overwhelming, but the staff is super helpful and full of ideas. He asked me what my favorite Girl Scout Cookie is and he said that can definitely make a Caramel Delight coffee drink. And they did. And oh my goodness gracious, that drink was not only pretty, but it tasted like the liquid form of a Caramel Delight. It had two shots of espresso, carmel, coconut and chocolate. I drank it soooo fast and had the best sugar and caffeine rush. Outta this world good!!! Oh my word we just LOVED everything about this little coffee place!!! They have 5.5 million drink combinations.... uh... WOW! 11 different milks! I got an iced honey vanilla latte with hemp milk, it was seriously delicious. The hemp milk added a slightly warm nutty undertone that went great with the honey. The hubs got a caramel macchiato. What an awesome little place! After hearing about them through the IG account AVLToday I started following them on Insta. That is where you get the inside scoop on all of their amazing flavor options. Want the eggnog iced latte in July? You got it! This is a little shack on top of a gravel hill. You can either head to the 2 drive up windows or park and take in the fresh air at the Walk up window. The two times I've been there (so far) it was the same sweet gal taking care of me. I said it was my first visit and you could SEE the excitement in her eyes. She took time to listen and helped me choose a great iced latte. There are milk options... and they have the ever elusive oatmilk! Along with other non-cow milk. I also love that they have options for my boys. Colored lemonade for them! The coolest little coffee stop I've ever been to. They have a great selection of coffees, teas, juices and blended drinks. They also have a list of many different flavors you can add to your drink! (Sweet Tea with Green Apple flavor? Yes please!) I also had the Alien Juice drink, which had red bull in it. But I had little ones with me, so you can substitute the red bull with sparkling water to make a soda and it taste just as great. The staff was so nice and patient, willing to help us first timers try and have the best drink possible. Found this place at the outlets and return to get coffee from time to time when I'm in the area even if I'm not visiting any of the other outlet shops. I'm a basic coffee person and their coffee is top notch black or with just a pump of flavoring. My kid likes the Honey Bee made from coffee, milk, cinnamon, honey, and brown sugar. I am a very boring coffee drinker. Black, strong and sugar. Honey wanted to stop here for something fancy so I decided to try something new. I opted for the "Baby Spice" iced. It is a seasonal drink and I have no idea what my honey added to it for me but it was tasty. He got a hot drink and it was also tasty. My favorite part was my color changing straw because I am still a big kid at heart. It's a drive up coffee stand and there are 2 side but by the time we left, there was a line of 6 cars easily. The decor is funky and retro - lots of trippy colors and aliens. My dad got a regular drip coffee and said it was the best he's ever had. He made me a custom coffee called snowflake with almond milk. We will be going back every day of our trip. What a cute little find! This little gem has 2 windows to serve which helps keep the line down. Phia was our barista who helped make excellent recommendations. She was so proud of their product, and for good reason. The coffee is fantastic and the flavor combinations are endless. I tried the Ginger Spice, which had gingerbread, maple, and pumpkin spice flavorings. It was the perfect fall flavor. My husband tried the cold brew with pumpkin spice and waffles flavor. Phia made sure to see if he liked sweet coffee and opted for half sweetness to tone it down a bit. It was so smooth. Definitely give this place a try. read more

My mom got be hooked on Earthling a few years ago when they were taking me to move into college in SC. I never liked any coffees before. I've been a big fan ever since with my favorites being orange creamsicle, key lime pie, baby spice and candy cane all in latte form with 2 shots of espresso. I love that you can customize the drinks to be the perfect amount of caffeine you like and flavors that actually mimic what they are named after. Even now that I'm living in SC permanently , I have to visit Earthling every chance I get because I can never recreate the amazing flavors perfectly and don't have the amazing customer service at any of the coffee shops near me. We dropped in to this drive-thru coffee spot on our way down I-40. My wife looked it up online and wanted to give it a try for having a gingerbread latte. Once we found the place, which took a little bit of doing, we did not regret the experience or the effort. It was New Year's Eve, and we didn't realize that they were closing an hour early. We were about a minute late, but the owner, who was running the booth that day, graciously served us anyway. Learning we were first-timers, he gladly explained his approach to his coffee business to us, which included the fact that the coffee is organic, they will make just about anything you can think up, and they pride themselves on giving you more caffeine or shots than just about any competitor. Well, we ordered three different drinks for the car, and he gave us a fourth for free when he realized that I wanted my drink iced instead of hot. Let me just say that my vanilla latte was perhaps the best I've ever had, and my wife was in love with her drink, too. And he wasn't lying about the coffee jolt! If this place was in my town, they wouldn't be able to pull me away from the drive-thru window, as I would want to try all sorts of different combinations until I settled on some favorites. Alas, for me, I'll need to wait until the next time I'm in Asheville, but for those of you who live in or frequent the area, let's just say that I'll be envious of the blessing you have of being nearby Earthling Coffee. This place is a gem! I wish I lived in Asheville so I could come here every day. What I loved about Earthling- their drinks have more espresso shots than most coffee shops. At Starbucks you get one shot for a small then two for a medium and large drink; at Earthling you get two shots for a small, three for a medium and 4 shots in a large! Dang! They also have a highly caffeinated, CBD nitro cold brew. I got a honey vanilla latte because I was looking for something sweet and simple. It was lovely! I am dying to go back! It's a drive thru so very safe, convenient in these COVID times! Lots of parking if you want to chill in your car and sip your coffee. The staff was soo friendly and took lots of time to tell us about everything they had to offer and show us the merch they had available (I collect stickers!).
