While I have been gifted treats from here, this was my first time visiting for myself. We opted for the drive thru window. We had to wait a few minutes for service. There appeared to just be one person helping people inside as well as the drive thru. The wait gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. There was a handwritten chalkboard with all of the menu items for the day. Unfortunately the regular breakfast cookies, which are our go-to, were sold out. My son did snag the last gluten free breakfast cookie. My daughter opted for a blueberry muffin while I had the pineapple banana bread. Both were good but not quite as good as our usual breakfast cookies. The gluten free breakfast cookie was put in a bag along with the non-gluten free items, which was a little concerning. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to support a small business and look forward to returning again! read more

Hate to write this because I seek out small, local coffee shops wherever I go to support them. Not sure what happened yesterday, but it tasted burnt. We bought 2 Cappuccino's and a Latte, none of us could finish them. Tasted like the beans were roasted so long, they were charcoal. Maybe a fluke, but undrinkable. read more

Cute little coffee shop in town. We were headed out and just searched for a coffee shop nearby. It's is a little house with a drive thru on the side. Indoor is simple and unassuming and space to sit outside as well. Staff were friendly and got through the line that was forming quickly. I had ordered a rosewater special latte and when it came out, I didn't love it. They were willing to make me something new that was to my liking and were very helpful. Stopped by this little gem during our 2025 family road trip. Everything we ordered was really good: ham cheese egg breakfast sandwich, chicken empanadas, regular coffee and iced mocha. I especially appreciated the coffee ice cubes added to my iced mocha. I typically ask for light ice because I can't stand when they melt and water my drink down. Nasty coffee. Sorry. I have been blessed to have the best coffee from Idaho to New York. So I am picky. But it is dirty looking and backwards looking. And the pastries taste like cardboard. They do have lots of Gluten Free options which is a plus. They just don't taste good. Now all that being said the service is as amazing and with a smile. Very nice. But ugh. That doesn't make up for the weird sour tasting coffee with bland flavor. read more

A group of friends and I in desperate need of coffee stumbled on this place while on a girls trip in Asheville, and we were not disappointed! Most of our group got Chai Lattes, I got a Lavender Latte, iced. The shop is so sweet; there's ample room to sit and hang out, and even a drive-through if you're in a hurry! How cool for a little local shop! The folks working and making beverages were so sweet and patient with us as we decided what to get. Guys, I got to the bottom of my iced latte and realized my ice cubes were brown. They took the extra step of adding coffee ice cubes to my drink so even down to the last drop was delicious. We stopped by to pick up some coffee and were amazed to discover that Round Earth Roasters has a drive-thru! I thought this was a fantastic idea. They offer lots of different coffees, smoothies, and breakfast pastries. It was hard to choose what to get, but I ended up getting a Dirty Chai, which is a chai latte with a shot of espresso. It definitely delivered on the caffeine but was a lot more bitter than I'd been expecting, even with the added honey. I also snagged one of the 1/2 priced chocolate espresso cookies (baked the day before). I love that they offer both freshly baked or 1/2 priced cookies so that any older ones don't go to waste! read more

The iced coffee is absolutely delicious. Like others have mentioned the coffee ice cubes help to keep your drink filled with flavor all the way to the last drop. I enjoyed it immensely. The service was friendly and efficient. She gave me a little bit of a lowdown when I asked about their brews. Professional. My only ding on the place was that it was one of the top places to pull up when i searched for fresh bread and pastries. On our visit, the baked goods were slim pickings in a front display case. Stopped here a few times during our visit it Asheville - it's right off of Hwy 40. Convenient for getting going on your daily excursion. They have an assortment of house baked pastries - many of them vegan. Very friendly staff and indoor/outdoor seating. There's also a drive though. I love quirky local coffee joints and this one qualifies. Looked for a coffee roaster to stop by on our road trip. Relatively easy to find, not busy at all. Had a bathroom, parking lot and drive threw. DELICIOUS cold brew! Wow! I'm in search of my new favorite local coffee shop, and this spot right on Hendersonville road was so cute and convenient I had to try it! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so many food options, and they even use coffee ice cubes in their iced coffees! I got a salted caramel iced coffee and a carob chip banana bread (which I'm fairly certain was vegan) and was happy with both, though they were both VERY sweet so definitely more of a treat than a common occurrence. The drive thru is a great convenient option that I'll likely be utilizing pretty frequently. read more

Wow. What a gem! The lady working (who I'm assuming is the owner) was working there all by herself and not only was she taking care of the inside line (food &drink orders) but she also had quite the drive thru line and she was KILLING it!!! Average coffee in my opinion. My latte was a little too sweet and my friends weren't too fond of the drinks they got either. My friend also described their scone as "a melted muffin"? Maybe we ordered the wrong drinks or came on a bad day but unfortunately we were not fans. read more

Stopped here on our way back to Hickory. Staff was super helpful in deciding our drinks and making them super yummy! Some of their syrups are made in-house and I tried their vanilla latte with the house made syrup- very good! We also got a matcha with oat milk and would recommend that as well! Their chai isn't sweetened but you can add in whatever syrup or sweetener you want which was nice for different preferences! Would recommend this coffee shop to a friend :) read more

I got the seasonal iced gingerbread latte and it was delicious! It was just enough sweet with a little hint of spice. They even use frozen coffee cubes so your iced drinks don't get watered down. Definitely will visit again when in town! read more

sitting here as I spend every morning working in different coffee shops. Traveling and found this lovely spot. I am all about the vibe and this place has great energy. Employees very freindly and welcoming. Space very comfortable also. Took off one star only because my scone is a bit bland. Had better...but still not bad. in fairness it was half price, day old, but that usually only effects texture(dryness) etc, not taste. drip coffee delicious! read more

I was actually going to Atlanta Bread next door, but the line was so crazy I decided I would walk across the parking lot to check out this place. I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is really eclectic and comfy. The coffee selection was extensive, and I really enjoyed my vanilla latte. My daughter had an espresso, and she said it was one of the greatest she had ever had. The cost is expensive in comparison to coffee chains, but as they do the roasting and put in more work, I think that makes sense. We are looking forward to checking it out again! read more

Established in 1995.

My husband Rick Telford and I purchased Biltmore Coffee Traders in March 2011. After taking over from the previous owners, we have focused our attention on sourcing sustainable coffee beans, roasting them to perfection, and preparing a delicious cup of coffee. Our beans and brewed coffee are available at the Asheville City Market on Saturdays May-December and Monday-Saturday at the coffee shop. We are happy to "roast to order" your perfect beans. It feels like a mix between English tea time elegance and a bit of Spanish flair. It's unique and really something you just have to experience in person. I ordered the fancy carrot cake and it was exactly what a classic carrot cake should be. The flavor profile was spot on. Not overly sweet, not bland, just perfectly balanced with that warm spiced carrot cake taste. Paired with a cortado, it made the perfect little caffeine and sweet tooth moment. They also have a seasonal menu that changes. Prices are super reasonable, which shocked us, but it's cash only! Ugh who carries cash nowadays?? Only downside to this place, which is why I knocked a star off. Atm inside the Aloft charged $4.25 for the atm just FYI. I got a hot creme brulee latte and my husband got a blackberry latte. After you order at the window, they call your name on a speaker and you pick it up inside the bus. My drink was really tasty and smooth. My husband enjoyed his as well and said the blackberry was really strong and pronounced in a good way. I would definitely frequent this place again if I had cash on me. If I didn't, there's so many other coffee places in Asheville that I would probably try somewhere else next time.
