As soon as we sat down, menu and tea followed. (Where did she appear from?) We ordered enough for our lunch and some takeaway. Food came fast too, we asked for less sugar and they accommodated. We also got complimentary chicken sticks (real chicken tender cut in strips & spring rolls) and complimentary soup (Sezchuan or egg drop). I liked the Sezchuan because my was slightly spicy. Our food came piping hot and freshly cooked. We Know it's freshly cooked because of the ruckus of the wok and ladle in the kitchen. Sounds of Wok Hei, very important in Chinese cooking. With our takeaways, we got another bowl of complimentary soup. We left satisfied and belly happy.

When I'm feeling the need for Chinese food this is usually my first pick second would be Hy-Vee Chinese express. The place itself is nicely decorated And clean. The staff is friendly and the restrooms clean. They also have outside seating but I've never sat at it since it faces west and in the summer it gets really hot facing west in the evening.
