It did not disappoint! It was raining so only seating at the counter. It is small, cramped and cozy! The staff are obviously friends and the warmth is felt throughout. They care about their regulars and were really kind to us. There is something about the simplicity of a maid-rite that just feeds the soul. Simple and delicous. It was a memory from my childhood that can't be replaced without the traditional surroundings. The counter, traditional red and white decor and friendly people. Nothing fancy, just comfort. The only thing I have to say is that the gluten free bread was drier than I am used to and it was falling apart.
