If you want Chinese food but don't want to risk salmonella this is a good place to go. Not that I don't like small non-chain Chinese places, I've gotten some amazing food from them. But if you've ever spoken with a health inspector you will only eat at chain restaurants. Enough said. The food is all precooked and when you walk in you are greeted by someone ready to dish you up your meal. First you choose if you want a 1, 2 or 3 entree meal. Then if you want white or fried rice or lo main. Then your entrees. They have the classics such as orange chicken, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken and seasonal and limited time specialties such as orange chicken with bacon or tempura firecracker shrimp. They also have spring rolls, egg rolls and rangoons but they are extra and don't come with the meal. It's fast and you get a descent amount of food. When I'm feeling the need for Chinese food this is usually my first pick second would be Hy-Vee Chinese express. The place itself is nicely decorated And clean. The staff is friendly and the restrooms clean. They also have outside seating but I've never sat at it since it faces west and in the summer it gets really hot facing west in the evening. Tip: in the winter sit in the corner closest to the restrooms. The drafts from the door make dinning very chilling. read more

Good food. I went at 7 o'clock on a Sunday night and it was fairly busy. There was a wait for some of the food, but it wasn't too long and there was still good options available. I got the bigger plate, and I feel like there could've been a bit more food in it but I was filled. Worker lady was funny though so no complaints. Also refreshers are delicious. Never had a problem with the food, but customer service in the store lacks. Employees ignore you while they fill app orders, you may wait and watch the food disappear while you stand at the front of the line. Today the app order filler person took the last of the rice and noodles right in front of me and then I was told 8 minutes for more. Very bad experience. Was very hot in the restaurant, no A/C whatsoever. Tried opening the door to get some air in which was cooler than the restaurant, mind you it was 90 and humid out. Was reluctant to try it, have not a clue why! It's pricey but worth it quality wise. Foods always fresh/made to order with a large variety to choose from. The fried rice is the best I've had anywhere, the honey walnut shrimp and kung pao chicken are really really good. They have the laziest workers I've ever seen. This place never has anything good or the entree you want.

We've sworn off this location forever. After several disappointing trips (fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me--or several more times after that). They are constantly out of fried rice. We go at supper time! Why aren't they prepped and ready with all bowls brimming with food?! You will always have to wait for orange chicken, and if you want something else, there's usually a tiny scoop of something that is crusted to the bowl. The employees are TERRIBLE. There are always several of them just walking around pretending to do things. They are out of fried rice and no one is making any. They are "working" on this or that instead. This place is always sweltering during the summer. Don't plan to eat inside unless you want to sweat like crazy. It's disgusting. And yet, the owners can't seem to get the air conditioner working right. That's pretty important in Iowa. I'm done. Never again. read more

I don't mind wearing a mask. I get to this location and am not allowed in after waking through the rain to get there. No worries. Asked if they had masks I could use while there so I can place an order. Told they don't have any masks. Okay so normally I don't leave reviews for chains but I just moved to Iowa from Arizona and I'm not used to places closing early and I was hungry last night and Panda was open. Panda was also packed and listen it is 8:30pm line in front of me line behind me they close in an hour running out of food packed. The staff were so kind (I believe their names on the line were Kathy and Conner). Seriously they communicated amazingly well with each other, other staff, and all the guests inside the restaurant. They made sure everyone knew potential wait times or if they simply didn't have something since it was so close to closing time and were very accommodating to anyone who had a question and they asked all the right questions to everyone to make sure we weren't forgetting anything and knew if they had anything new. Seriously I get how being understaffed has effected the food industry but they seriously handled it like champs and never looked irritated by anyone (even if one person ordered like two family meals with all of this going ) anyways yes I would totally recommend this location. The food is decent as main entrees. The rice is mediocre and the people are generally upbeat. On the other hand, they have pre cooked food, so you don't really know how longs its been sitting, so it always looks like you get the leftovers. They want to charge you extra for an egg roll. Its a chinese restaurant, it should be included. Side of rice is around 3.50, which you might as well go to one of the many surrounding chinese places to get your money's worth.
