Place has been around for years. Clean inside and out. Friendly servers. Custard and other ice cream novelties excellent. I'm stuck on the turtle sundae though. I always think it's small then get a third down and am not sure I can finish it. Many other sundaes, concretes, and shakes to choose from. 100% do not support east coast anymore. I used to come ever week at least once a week and there was a time where I was coming 3 to 4 times a week Today I got what I always get regular chocolate cookie dough plus Oreos concrete total was $7.45 fine whatever then I got it and the size was so much smaller then what I normal get. I questioned both the girls working and even asked if they down size there cups and they told me no that's the size it's always been. I'm not stupid and I'm not paying $7.45 for nothing. I work way to hard for my money and so do you don't waste your money on a place that rips you off. read more

Might need a brush-up on customer service, or adult supervision on the closing shift. We pulled in just before closing, and the drive thru neon sign was lit, and there were people inside the dining room (also lit). We were happy we made it in time. It was our first visit, so we needed to look at the menu. The lights on the menu board flickered, so we pulled up to the window to order, thinking they probably were close to closing time. A girl opened the window & said, "We're closed; we close at 10:00." And, the time was 10:04. They probably should turn off the drive-thru sign earlier, or honor the order for cars already in the drive thru. read more

This was my first time trying East Coast Custard! For soft serve, it was pretty good. I prefer hard ice cream but definitely appreciated the variety of flavors that we're available. I had a mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookie custard concrete with cookie dough and my boyfriend had a chocolate chip cookie sundae. I really thought the flavor of the custard was nice! There was also a good amount of cookie dough that is always a plus! The size that I decided to get was the mini and it turned out to be perfect. With zero strawberries, this custard more accurately should be labelled "Strawberry Flavored Custard". Truth in labeling matters. Call me a purist. I ordered a pint of "Strawberry Custard" and expected to find strawberries. What I found instead were black spots that under very close scrutiny are strawberry seeds. Do seeds count as fruit? So I checked the ingredient label. Included are "Lyons Strawberry - Strawberries" (whatever that is) and National Strawberry Flavoring. Hoping for insight, I went to the Lyons website. There is no product designated as above but they carry several infusions and syrups: but no strawberry- strawberries (whatever that is). Absentee ownership at this franchised site needs to train it's child-employees to value customers, improve the product, labeling and service. Both pints purchased had empty air pockets devoid of ice cream; one pint also had inedible colorless ice crystals. And, btw, asking a customer if they want a bag to carry multiple pints of ice cream is just plain dumb....and cheap. read more

Absolutely the best custard I've ever had. I love every flavor I've tried but the strawberry was my fave so far. I think we go at least once a week. My 2 year old gets so excited and asks for the "white one". The wait has never been too long and friendly staff. Highly recommend! read more

I went here with my bffs, it wasn't the best. The guy in the back was fantastic and was very accommodating. The clerks at the front lacked respect for customers and should be reprimanded or fired. Have been a loyal customer for many years but have noticed that the service at this site has been going downhill. Last night's experience warrants the need to refresh employees mindset about the importance of customer service. I came and ordered a concrete and a sundae a little after 9:00pm. The girl was rude in taking my order, she did not offer to put lids on either part of the order, and she was not pleasant for the entire interaction. I went home and vowed I would not return to this site again based on this experience. However, I also feel it is important management understands the issue so they may remedy it. read more

When I moved to Fairport from the far west side I was lamenting leaving Mitchell's ice cream - and then my now husband took me to East Coast Custard. The Sea Salt Caramel custard is one that I wish they had every day; the blueberry cheesecake custard needs to be in a waffle cone to cut the sweetness; the chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough is best in a cup cone - and the concretes are way better than blizzards! Our pups split a pup cup - vanilla custard with a Milk Bone in it - well worth the $1.50 to have them leave our cones alone! read more

So this ice cream is amazing, portion size is nice and the location is clean/bright. My favorite is a hot fudge concrete. It's a lot of ice cream! But so good. Expect to blow all your calories here. The only reason I'm knocking a star is the last time I was here both me and my partner kept picking out plastic flakes in our ice cream. Couldn't eat it after a few minutes. We think somehow plastic got into the machine the custard falls out of. Anyway not a good experience but the rest have been top notch. read more

Been to this location many times over the years but today will be our last. The service this evening was TERRIBLE. The young blond girl at the window was so incredibly rude I considered cancelling my order and driving off. The attitude was unreal and she was annoyed when I asked what flavors they had (since the sign was not correct). I ordered a cone with crunch coat, and she turned to the other girl and said "he wants a cone with crunch coat, whatever the hell that is" and then proceeded to roll her eyes. She then asked for a tip and slid the card machine out the window and closed the window. I finished with the card reader and was waiting for a receipt when she just ignored me and kept glancing out the window, to which point she called a manager over and she asked if there was something I was waiting for. I explained that I was waiting for a receipt and the girl just slid the machine out the window and said nothing. The manager then said "oh okay she's new". Now whether she's new or not, she shouldn't be interacting with customers. Period. Terrible attitude. She must have ties with the owners or management because her entitled attitude and lack of care had to have been prevalent during an interview. Extremely disappointed. Hopefully it's corrected for future guests because I will not return. read more

We love East Coast Frozen Custard! Whether just stopping in for dessert or picking up quarts/half gallons for at home, you can't beet the selection, specialty flavors, or quality of their product. Staff is always helpful and does their best to keep up with the demand. The cafe mocha shake is incredible and the banana split is highly recommended! read more

went there last year was wonderful this year ordered a pint it was driven 5 miles to the house and it was not an icecream but a milkshake . I have airconditioning. very dissapointed it was so thin and liquidy. Called told them she said bring it back. no check your machine and she said instead of the usual come again and we will replace i am busy i cant talk to you now read more
