We selected Bethel Overhead door after talking to several overhead door companies. They were able to obtain and install our garage door replacement exactly as we wanted. Jack's crew installed the door as one would expect; however, my husband and I are both Landscape Architects and design is essential. A couple of things did not line up, things have a tendency of move during installation, and our door opening was anything but standard. Jack tweeted it and everything is just how we imagined. Previous owners tried to bondo it rather than replace the door and it looked awful. After waiting for my garage door to come in from the factory where Vinney found the closet match to our condo doors, he himself installed the unit. I went with the belt drive luftmaster, very quiet and it came with a phone app that was above my expectation. The MyQ app allows me to see if my door is open or closed when I'm away. It logs in all actions and by time. I even signed up for Amazon's my key and my packages are placed inside the door. The app shows me they open the door and closed it within the same mi use on many occasions already. No more worring about packages from Amazon and the door looks beautiful and works terrific. Ridgefield Door Systems, this company, sent Jim out and he said the doors can be repaired. They just needed new hardware. Two days later Chris came out and fixed them in less than an hour. The price was super reasonable. Chris was great. Instead of having to buy $4000-$5000 doors, it cost us $252.32 in labor and parts. We were thrilled. Now the doors work even better than before. We had a quote of $432 from the other company IF they could fix it. Not sure why they couldn't or if they just preferred to sell us new doors. We will definitely go to Ridgefield Door Systems when we are ready to buy new doors in the spring or before selling the house. They are honest and competent and very personable. Communicative, competent and fairly priced…read more While our double garage door ultimately exceeded its estimated production time by nearly five weeks (Covid-related supply chain, material and assembly related problems to blame), Ridgefield Overhead Doors was very accommodating throughout the process. Failure of the old motor two months prior to the new door arriving was promptly addressed, a cable issue on the existing door a few weeks later was also taken care of within two business days. When the new door arrived with a minor indentation in one of the panels, the crew managed to use said panel at the very top of the door, allowing the weatherstripping to completely conceal the minor damage. Installation was painless and quick. Will certainly use them again for future garage door related work and service.

I called Ed's and they told me they could come out to look at it, but because my home is now outside their service area (it wasn't when they installed and serviced my doors and openers in the past) there would be a travel charge of $75. I agreed and a technician was dispatched to my home to evaluate the damage. I was also charged for an hour of labor (about another $175). I was told someone would get back to me with a repair estimate but weeks went by without a response. I contacted them and I was told they would get back to me. I've waited nearly two months now and still never got a response. At the very least they could have just told me to go elsewhere for service, but instead kept me hanging. This is NOT the same company I've dealt with in the past.

He noticed my other garage doors had screws missing and told me he could address the situation which would also help balance the doors. Initially I waived him off because of the coldness but he said it would only take a few minutes. In less than 20 minutes he tightened all the screws, replacing 5-10 missing screws, greased the joints and wheels, and then fixed a broken remote clicker. Upon his completion all three of my doors (one a large double door) were functioning smoothly and quietly. I was totally satisfied with his work from a quality and price perspective.
