Very clean inside, and when your dog stays over they wash the bedding on a daily basis. You don't even need to bring a bed or dog toys as they have some. They are very concerned about your dog's safety and health. I recommend them to anyone in the area who needs dog daycare, or boarding.

We had left our dog for two weeks, leaving our other animals at home with a sitter. A few days into his stay, he was bit by another dog; minor, but needed to be taken to the vet. Instead of calling the sitter, as directed...we definitely left the appropriate number....I saw the attendant record it...they called the number of a family member who we had visited the year before; they were on vacation. Long story short, our loving, mild mannered dog, spent the better part of two weeks in a kennel with a cone on his neck; for him, a living hell. We arrived home to a sizable bill, but did not realize the impact of the visit until we tried to take him to the vet. This incident has totally ruined this dog. He is now extremely apprehensive to any change and is visibly upset by any loud noise. If you pick up a newspaper or a fly swatter, he can't get away fast enough. His anxiety is so great when we take him to the vet, we now have to medicate him before the visit with trazadone and gabapentin. This only slightly lessens his desire to climb out the nearest window. Our vet says his dramatic behavioral change had to be triggered by a traumatic event. I have a friend who experienced a similar change after boarding her retriever with them. I'm not saying that they don't provide good care, I'm stressing that if you leave your animal with ANYONE....do not let the busyness of the early morning drop off time deter you from verifying that they have all the pertinent information before you turn over your pet.....they're depending on you. We have never used them since, as we received no followup call from the owners in regard to this incident.

She even reached out to other vets to see if anyone had any ideas of what was going on but no one had any ideas. We had them do the different tests they suggested but everything came back clear. It was a real mystery and Deb went above and beyond to try and solve it. She stayed with us and her assistant fed Bailey her favorite treat as she past away. Five stars aren't enough.

For our current little dog she has gone above and beyond in my opinion when she wasn't sure what we were dealing with she took photographs; then reached out to other vet colleagues for opiniojns. Surgery is not an option but that was 4 years ago now and she is still with us at 17, often acting like a much younger dog. The staff are very friendly and when it is an emergency fit in appts are provided. Dr Sewell is kind, pleasant and has always been gentle with any of our pets. We are more than happy with the service and kindness shown to us at City Animal Hospital by Dr Sewell and her staff.

Bulk Barn carries thousands of bulk items (almost everything I can think of and more) including spices, grains, flour, oats, confections, candies, chocolates, nuts, dried fruits, popping corn, seeds, snacks, nut butters, sugars, sweeteners, coffee, drink mixes, cake mixes, dried beans, rice, pasta, cereals, soup stocks, pet foods, and much more, all self serve bagged & tagged (write down item number) and weighed by the pound or 100 grams. Ingredients for the products are clearly displayed next to the price(s). They also carry vitamins & herbal supplements, as well as plenty of baking supplies and Wilton cake decorating supplies. I was very impressed by the massive selection of bulk foods that Bulk Barn carries in their store. What is great about this concept is that you can buy what you need and don't have to buy entire packages of specific ingredients for a recipe. If you need only 1/2 lb of flour, you can buy 1/2 lb of flour and not have to purchase a whole 5 lb bag of flour. The prices here are decent for Canadian standards, but seemed high for an American. Just to note, I've seen much lower prices for many of the same bulk goods sold in the USA, most of which are prepackaged. For example, pine nuts were around $30/lb at Bulk Barn and I can get pine nuts in the USA for about $24 for 1 lb - eight 2 oz packages at $2.99 each. Sam's Club in Bangor ME had pine nuts for $9.93 for 15 oz (in Sept 2012). Pasta (wheat) was over $3/lb at Bulk Barn and pasta is usually around $0.99/lb on sale in the USA. The prices for peanuts and bagged snacks at Bulk Barn seemed pretty reasonable. Also, look out for Bulk Barn sales flyers in the newspapers which have coupons attached (ie. $3 off $10 purchase before taxes).
