Went to this restaurant with our whole family. It took us about 20 minutes to get seated. And that was OK. Cause it was a little busy. The waitress took forever to come to our table. And after about 45 minutes. We finally had our drinks. While we were ordering the waitress just gave attitude looks to one in our party because they were asking for a configuration of wings that they did not do. So instead of just saying "the policy is this way" she just got everyone confused. We had asked for some house chips and that they not be cooked too crispy. After a while she brought them back to us, two pans- one crispy and one almost raw, floating in grease and said "This is the best we can do" with attitude. We couldn't eat this and had had had it with this waitress because of the attitude and also because people who were seated after us by this point were already eating and about to leave and we just got our chips. So we took the chips to the bar to show the person up there and ask to speak with a manager. The manager fill in came to our table, he was a cook but was filling in because the manager was not there. As I was trying to explain it to him, she came up, butted in, was arguing with me, the customer, about what had happened. I had began very calmly explaining to this guy our experience but when she came in with MORE attitude, I had to remind her to check herself. She was way over the line inappropriately talking to a customer the way she was. I mean yall, look at these chips in the pic- who would eat this? At this point we'd herb there way over an hour AND HALF and still NO WINGS. We decided to just go pay for those floppy raw potatoes and our drinks and leave. I won't be back and if you guys get this Abby (I think- heavyset, dark haired) waitress that says she's been there longer than everyone else, my advice is to change tables. read more

I have been a frequent flyer of ECW, so frequent that my household calls the ECW location in Harrisburg "old reliable" As far as this location goes it's atmosphere was there like the others for the most part. The service was pretty good as well (at least for a 1-2 pm solo lunch) the waitress was also the bartender for my visit at least. She was overall attentive as she refilled my drink twice during my stay without me calling out to her, she also gave me a food recommendation which helped me decide. Overall the food was pretty good. I'm giving 3 stars because I ordered the teriyaki chicken tacos and overall they were great (even though I'm not a huge teriyaki fan, I prefer less sweet options). They were exactly what you would expect and they were hot and looked delicious. The tater tots in the other hand were a let down. The tacos were obviously hot and fresh but the tots were hard and mildly warm like they have been sitting there for a while or maybe under a heat lamp (never worked in a place like this so I can't say for sure just my opinion). The ranch was boss like it always is. I would be willing to try this location again but I would expect the tots to be fresh. read more

We have been frequent patrons of this chain. Unfortunately this location is the most underperforming of the 4 locations we have been to. we dropped in last night around 7:15 and the place was nearly empty but did not think anything more than it was Monday night..... Anyhow, the service was both poor and infrequent, food quality was marginal, portions were not consistent with prior visits (and less than expected but wing count was correct), took longer than expected to cash out. Upon leaving the hostes could not be bothered to thank us for coming in and hope to see us soon (she was too engaged in conversation with a coworker). Oh yeah and with a sanitation rating of 93.5 it was just another disappointment. Doubtful this location will survive to see July of this year..... read more

Guys it's food. it's cold, stick it in the microwave for 10 seconds and it's not cold anymore. Service was terrible. How is a bar slow on a Saturday night AND you suck at refilling drinks when it's empty. People don't like waiting for a refill. No one acknowledged my presence at all. Next point. I ordered a cookie skillet through a third party delivery service. When my order was delivered and I opened the box, this is what I got. The cookie smelled burnt just as the picture shows. Ultimately, the issue was corrected by them making another one and the delivery guy went back and got the cookie. I'm not sure why East Coast thought this would be acceptable to be given to a customer. They have also forgotten another time to include the fries with my meal, and the delivery guy was nice enough to go back and get the fries for me. We were regulars to the Kannapolis location, then the Harrisburg location, and then we were thrilled to be getting an East Coast in Albemarle. The Albemarle location is not up to par. Our first visit was in the early weeks of its opening; the food was sub-par and the service was mediocre. We gave it the benefit of the doubt because it was a new location and we expected that they were working out the kinks. Our second visit was a to-go order. The phone was answered with an unprofessional laugh. We were told that the order would take 10-15 minutes. 20 minutes later our food was still not ready. When we did get our order, one of the flavors of wings was incorrect. We requested Chili Chili Bang Bang (both words twice!!) and we got Chili Thai. This is art down for East Coast Wings. read more

Best wings around. We had the Cajun ranch and Hey Mon Honey bone in wings - and they amazing! Plus our waitress, Moné was incredible and super helpful! We got everything she recommended, the wing flavors and entrees. We got the chicken avocado flat bread and cheeseburger quesadilla- both really really good! My daughter and I went in on Monday to eat a late lunch. We sat there for quite awhile before we were waited on and there were not that many people in the restaurant. My daughter ordered the 75 cent wings that were advertised on a sign outside near the door. When the bill came at the end of the meal, I was charged $11.99 for the wings. When I asked the waitress, she said she had forgot about the 75 cent wings and that she would go correct that, she asked to take my card and make the correction and take the payment. When she came back she left the receipts and walked away and in looking at the receipt, I was then charged 75 cents times the 10 wings but also 75 cents for the carrots, 75 cents for the celery, 75 cents for the dipping sauce, and 99 cents for the flavoring. I then asked other workers there about the extra charges and I was told that all that stuff was extra on 75 cent wings day. I wished that the waitress would have said all that would be extra because those $7.50 wings ended up being almost $11 with taxes. My daughter had even told the waitress she wanted the carrots and celery "that came with the wings" and at that point the waitress could have informed us that would be an extra charge. I made a post on my facebook letting my friends and family know that if they got the 75 cent wings on Monday that they needed to be aware that the sauces, flavorings, carrots and celery cost extra. I had an employee of East Coast wings make comments on my post where she basically said they didn't have to inform me of the extra charges because its on the menu. So what about people that order the 75 cent wings based on the sign that doesn't say anything about additional charges? My family have eaten at East Coast Wings for several years and never knew they charged extra for things on one day a week that all the other days a week are included. Wonder how many people have been charged extra and paid extra and never even knew it!!! read more

I see a lot of bad Yelp reviews. I feel ya. This place is still relatively new and we have had some challenging early experiences. But the food has never been bad. Read the bad reviews again, and everyone says the food is great but so-and-so was a bee-hatch. Guess what. Albemarle has lots of bee-hatches. Wings here are the best in town. Other fare as expected and as you hope and want. What has really changed things for us is behind the bar. I have two words for you: Silver Fox. Don't mess with a table, go right to the bar and ask for the Silver Fox. He just gets it. You feel like you are special. There's a bond between bartender and patron that is special...cannot be denied. Cannot be replicated. Breeze past the hostess that doesn't have time for you and belly up to the bar. Sadie who wasn't even our server is the only reason this isn't a one star review. She is the only one in the place who really seemed to care about the customers! We had about a 20 minute wait on a Saturday afternoon. Once we were seated we got our beers, not the size or variety we ordered, but we were thankful for them! We order a variety of wings and a Cobb Salad. After a few minutes we got some celery and ranch dressing. An hour or more later after watching many unhappy people leave without their food, we were served my Cobb Salad. The avocado looked like it had been frozen and the 1000 Island dressing was the texture of pudding and full of garlic. Sadie came to the rescue and brought more normal dressing. About 25 minutes later my husband got his wings. They were good, but not worth the wait. If you are hungry, this is not the place for you. read more

I will start by saying that I have been in plenty of ECW locations. I really like their wings and food in general. Are they a gourmet restaurant, no, but they feature good food and good service at reasonable prices. The similarities between other locations and the Albemarle location stops at the name and menu. We stood at the door while who I assume was the manager complained about the staff not knowing how to correctly operate the phone(who's fault is that?). After 5 minutes or so, we were finally ushered to a table by what I will refer to loosely as a hostess because she looked absolutely lost(poor training(who's fault?). We waited for almost 15 minutes for someone to come to our table before my wife went to the front entrance where 4 employees were standing around and asked if someone could wait on us, only then did anyone appear. Our server, Mona, was nice and took our drink and appetizer order. While waiting for our drinks, we watched another couple that had arrived before us, get up and leave because no one had waited on them yet either. Our appetizer and our meal arrived within 5 minutes of each other. The taste was ok, but all of the dishes were lukewarm at best. The manager was almost nonexistent on the floor except for the phone incident previously mentioned and one other time to BS with someone he obviously knew. If I owned this place, he(manager) wouldn't have made it through the dinner shift. The staff is lackadaisical at best and is in dire need of training and supervision. Another family left as we got our check for the same reason as the earlier couple, no service. I will be surprised if this place makes it 6 months if major changes aren't made to the staff and management. The only reason I gave this place 1 star was because of Mona, our server, she did her best with what she had. Don't go here if you have limited time to spend there. read more

As the saying goes, it's a shame something actually has to get 1 star. Take a look as the rest of my reviews, and see how frequently I rate anything less than 3 stars. Almost never, because I am understanding of extenuating circumstances such as a waitress having a bad night, or an unexpected crowd. However, the attitude and service we experienced at this ECW location honestly could not have been worse. Saturday night, the weekend of memorial day. 9pm. Restuarant was dead. We sat with a table of 5, then immediately 8 more of our friends ask to join us (we were all coming from the same dance recital). Here we are, 13, simply trying to get a table together, with the restaurant 2/3rds empty. The lady at front actually refused to look up from her tablet from where she was playing games, the waitresses were overheard saying "they didn't want that amount of work," and at the end, we were told that they were expecting a large party, and we couldn't all sit together. After asking to talk to a manager, which we were never able to do, somehow, they scraped together a table. The service that followed was decent, to our waitress' credit, and her tip reflected it. However, I've never seen a company in my day that wanted our business less. And you guessed it, that "large party" never showed...just their way of trying to get rid of us, so they could goof off until closing. I could not recommend a restaurant less if I tried. Stay away - visit ECW in Salisbury or Kannapolis if you must go to an ECW. read more

Third time not a charm. We will never go back. Tried them when they first opened, service was marginal but the food was good and hot. The second time a few months later, the service had declined. It took over an hour to get our room temperature meal and 15 minutes to get drink refills. The lame excuse "the kitchen is backed up" is what we were told. Tried them again 6-12-2021 at 3:30PM. The hostess asked us if we "would mind a high top table " near the bar. Yes, as a matter of fact we would mind. We are seniors and my wife visibly has a walking impairment. We asked if we could have one of the  dozen or so empty booths close to the entrance? The hostess acted as if we ruined her day. We waited 10 minutes before we saw our waitress who left her personality at home. Again lukewarm food. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap which was twice the price and half the size of a Subway wrap. My wife' s boneless wings were not hot and the  sauce was cold and gelatinous. You would get larger portions in a Hungry Man TV dinner and it would be hot. read more

We arrived at 5:30 last night. We were told there was about a 15 minute wait, which was fine until we looked into the restaurant and saw so many tables that were open. We asked why and were told that the kitchen would get backed up. I know the restaurant has not been opened for a real long time but, by now, they should know what kitchen staff is required for their crowd. Don't they realize they lose money without a properly staffed kitchen? The server did not come over right away but, when she did, she was very pleasant and attentive for our drink and appetizer order. However, it took forever for two orders of wings and fries to come out. The wings were excellent, but the fries were cold. And then we did not see the server again for a long time. Exceptional long wait for food (1 hour). Brought out 3 of the 4 meals ordered and 4th meal came out 10 minutes later and was cold and incorrect. Another's order was cooked incorrectly and we were told by our waitress that we should just take a refund and not reorder the sandwich because the kitchen was backed up. Manager would not speak with the table and hid in the back. We were not provided silverware to eat with when food was delivered and had to wait another 5 minutes until our server came back around for us to ask for it. Horrible horrible service and a gutless manager gets this hole.....1 star! read more

Went here Friday 11/30 got there at 7:30 p checked in. Told wait was 45-50 mins, no biggie it's a Friday night. Was seated at 8:31p. Waitress came right over and got our drink order and we ordered an appetizer. Drinks came out quickly, and we ordered our food. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more. The original waitress never came back. A different waitress stopped and checked on us. She asked how long we'd been waiting. FOREVER is literally what I told her. She refilled our drinks and checked on our food. She said she would take over our table. Our food finally came out at 9:33! We didn't order anything crazy, I ordered a salad and 5 boneless wings and my husband ordered 10 wings and a basket of homestyle chips. Food came out cold. Our appetizer came out AFTER we were done eating our regular meals. Highly doubtful that we will revisit this establishment. The waitress that took us over was amazing, she kept checking on us, and kept our drinks full. She was not able to prevent wha was happening in the kitchen or what the previous waitress had done.
