My friends and I decided on having a last minute brunch here on a Saturday at around 10am . We were seated immediately and opted to sit outside since it was so nice out . The service at this location is always superb. I ordered the huevos rancheros, a side of stuffed strawberry & cream , the apple cider mimosa, and the mimosa flight . I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Once again, I took the chance to grab a breakfast sandwich from Famous Toastery on Branchview in Concord, NC and for the last time, MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. The restaurant had 2 patrons seated, myself and the people that worked there. I ordered a Turkey bacon (cooked crispy), one egg over easy, NO CHEESE on an English muffin well toasted and an OJ. The young lady who took my order repeated it back to me 3x. I got home opened my container and.... (1) piece of turkey bacon (not cooked thoroughly, my egg was FRIED with CHEESE and the English muffin well toasted was toasted black and rock hard. It ended up in the garbage. I've given this restaurant more chances than they deserve with my food, but I'm beyond disappointed!!!! read more

Famous Toastery is quickly becoming one of my favorite breakfast spots. I Love their Famous homemade bowl. The coffee is good, the mimosas are amazing (get the flight which has four flavors to choose from). The pancakes are great, be sure to add a flavor or topping. The famous bowl is the newest addition to the mental institution, be sure to customize it your way. Not only is the food great, but the overall atmosphere and the servers are amazing! Came in for breakfast. Sat down and was immediately rushed to order a drink, which I did. I was brought my soda in a small to go cup. Then asked to order, which I did. I asked my breakfast potatoes to be well done. If you are going to run out of glassware in a Saturday morning service, atleast explain that to your customers, charging almost $4 for a soda, and serving it a tiny plastic to go cup, then not giving a refill until you are almost done eating is not great. I was very curious about Famous Toastery, not knowing this was a breakfast/lunch place at first. I walked in this morning and was seated very quickly. The menu is interesting, and I went with a conservative selection called the First Responder (3 eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, and toast). The food came out quickly and the presentation was okay. The coffee gets high marks at this place. Service was fine and slowed down near the end, had to ask for a takeout box at the front area since the server never returned after asking how things were in the first initial encounters. I think I will choose a different selection if I give this place another opportunity, probably the Eggs Benedict or the breakfast hash meal. read more

Not the best breakfast spot in town and not the worst...sitting outside on the patio should have been enjoyable but since there were spilled drinks that did not get cleaned up, bees joined me for brunch. First of all it took us just about and hour just to be seated. When I was paged I went to the front desk as instructed and was ignored by the guy (which I later found out was the manager) - I had to ask him were people being seated he told me it'll be a 45-1hr wait. I told him I was paged to be seated and that's when he asked for my name and had me seated.... the tables are tiny, I mean yes it was just me and my son but they have so many things on this tiny table that take up so much room that your plate of food can barely fit. I switched tables myself to the one that was right next to me.. Whew, now on to the food... We placed our order and waited about 30 minutes for our food to finally come out cold!!.. At this point the restaurant was not packed so I'm not quite sure why our food took so long. My sons bacon was burnt, and fell on the floor when he took a bite, he said his pancake was okay. My corned beef hash was bland and cold, my waffle was cold, I had to ask the bus boy if he could get someone to help me, because my waiter was no where to be found and he flagged down the manager, I explained that my sons bacon fell on the floor and were to burnt to consume and that my waffle was cold, I requested a fresh waffle and he put in an order of bacon for my son. I have eaten at this location quite a few times. It can be busy - with a wait - on some days. There was no wait this morning! In fact - we were able to choose our seat. We arrived around 9:30 AM. The hostess was polite and greeted us. Once seated, a waitress took our order. I had a breakfast bowl - which consisted of potatoes, cheese, bacon, eggs, sausage gravy, and toast. I have eaten at the other Famous Toastery in CLT but not at this Concord location yet. For a Saturday lunch, my friend and I got seated upon entering. The atmosphere of the place is noisy and busy, but with plenty of room between the tables. Our sever was extremely sweet. I ordered their Sunset Mimosa and Famous Toastery bowl. The sunset mimosa is like any other mimosa so no complaints there. Their bowl was extremely good, especially the gravy that smothered on top of the potatoes. You can pick your choice of breakfast meat and I went with the breakfast patties which were cooked perfectly and not dry, the over easy eggs - the yoke waterfall down beautifully with the potatoes as well. This bowl is a heavy meal, so if you want something light I would advise to get something else. Usually when the reviews aren't that great I take heed. But I was looking for a place to meet friends and this was the best option. Because we needed a table for 6, I was prepared to have to get on the wait list. But to my surprise, according to the site, there was never a wait. When we arrived, although the restaurant seemed pretty full, we were immediately seated. Our drink and food orders were quickly taken. Our food arrived very quickly. Everything was exactly as we ordered it. It was my first time ordering the waffles, but it definitely will not be my last! They were so good! The grits came out piping hot. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious! Our server continued to check on us throughout our time there. She never made us feel rushed but made sure we didn't need anything else. The one that caught my eye was The "Morticia:" Pear Absolute Cranberry Juice Sprite Yes, I do love the Addams Family, but tell me that, that doesn't sound fall, festive and refreshing! The music wasn't to our tastes, so we didn't linger. It was a perfect Indian Summer afternoon, so we dined in the patio. Our wait staff was so friendly and efficient. Hubby and I come every week for breakfast. First the good - the wait staff is amazing and recognizes us when we come in. Always takes great care of us. Now for the ehhh - today the service was slow, the mimosas took forever (still good) just a long wait. The bad- for the past few visits the food has been served in one way or another questionable. Burnt toast on sandwich (to the inside so you wouldn't know it) the mac-n-cheese had no flavor. And when I say no flavor I mean it would have tasted better if the noodles were in butter alone. Salt and pepper didn't even help. The French toast came out cold (WTF) how is French toast served cold. Finally - they were quick to fix, my question is why should it have to be fixed. I was invited here for breakfast one Sunday morning. I didn't know what to expect so the first thing that I did was jump on Yelp. The food looked yummy so I was excited to try it out. There's free parking spaces all around the building. When we arrived we were told about a 30-45 minute wait. The place was packed so we patiently waited. We were seated at a half booth, half table. I don't know how I would describe the interior decor. There's two bathrooms but one was out of order. Our server was very nice and pleasant. The manager Michael Head is horrible and need to be FIRED if he haven't already been FIRED. I've contacted corporate the day we walked out of this place. Jeffrey L. Bratton is an amazing server and my heart bled for him working in such conditions. We stopped in for breakfast before preparing for Diner En Blanc Charlotte which took place Oct.2022. The wait was horrible and their unproductive process to get people seated. The manager was horrible from approach to departure. The food was ok it took 50 min for a waffle and when escalated the manager response was "you will be okay just wait" the food runner was trying to get the hour waffle out and the manager (Michael Head) constantly scorned the runner and even made her cry. We witnessed Michael Head treat the servers so bad and dismiss the patrons to the point of a server walking out and customers walking away. This place needs revamping if it hasn't already as this visit was so memorable in a BAD way that I am reliving it 4 months later to write this review. I there was 0 stars I would give that for management and wait I'd give 5 for the hard working staff (NOT Michael Head) read more

I noticed how she treated me and my husband versus other families. She held conversations with others yet said nothing to us.
