I am a very picky person, especially when it comes to doctors, dentists, and the like. When I find one I like, I stick with them. I have high standards for quality of service and won't give my business to anyone or any place I don't feel comfortable. I've been a patient of Dr. Warner's for quite some time now, an wouldn't consider going anywhere else. He's a really nice guy, great demeanor, caring, and most importantly, excellent at his craft, There's never really a wait, and the staff are very friendly and professional. I can truly say that I love everyone there and have zero negative things to say about Dr. Warner or Dr. Kotz and the staff. On a side note, Cynde Austin my Dental Hygienist there, is the ONLY ONE I would see. Not because the others aren't great, but because she does exceptional work, is WICKED AWESOME, and I actually look forward and enjoy going to see her each time. She's more than my Dental Hygienist, she's a friend, and that says a lot about her and about the entire staff. Dr. Warner is a very cool guy as well, and I did get to meet Dr. Kotz, a recent addition there, and was equally pleased and impressed with her. Dr.Catherine Kotz is the worst! I had an extraction with Dr. Warner a few days prior, it went well however I developed dry socket. I called in for an emergency apt And had to see Dr. Kotz. I am in extreme pain. I could hardly open my jaw and said she would numb the area and get me out of pain. I was all for it ! This Dr. had zero idea what she was doing! She numbed my cheek 7 times and was no-where near the extraction site, not even remotely close. I was getting numb going up my head and the extraction site was lower right molar. She kept trying to touch and work on the dry socket with tools knowing I kept telling her, it's not numb, She said it was because I was nervous and my metabolism was to fast. Is that what she tells patients when she screws up because it doesn't work like that, and even if that Blatant lie was true, Which is 100 percent NOT then why was half my head up to my eye numb for over 3 hours? Also because of her frustration I noted her eye rolling and heard talk which seemed clearly directed about me. Next thing I know I'm told to sit up and that was it. I was lead out of the office. Head numb up to my eye, in extreme pain from dry socket. This is how I was left. NEVER AGAIN ! She should NOT be doing what she does because I wouldn't even let her clean my teeth ! read more

My life didn't actually start until I walked into East Cooper Dental. I was about 3 years ago when I met Dr Warner. I have been battling an eating disorder since age 10. My teeth were a MESS. Throughout he 3 years, Dr Warner has worked with me to try to stabilize what teeth I had left and he did it with the most amazing care and comfort for me....NOT an easy job! Well, forward to October of this year....I just turned 36 and my teeth were beyond salvageable. On Oct 29th, 2017, I had all my remaining teeth removed. Yes, I was only 36, and I was getting ready to live with dentures. In this whole world, I could not have picked a more qualified and compassionate dentist and staff to help me in this point of life. I have been suffering from dental issues since age 3, and I have never met a more caring and supportive dentist and staff than East Cooper Dental. It has been a very big ordeal but I am so proud to say that on Dec 20th, I will be getting my brand new teeth!!! 26 years of embarrassment and pain have ended! When I finally found a dentist I could trust it was such a relief after moving to Charleston in 1996. It took me a few years to get to Dr. Warner but he has been my dentist for over 13 years now. We have been through a lot together and there is nothing this Doctor can't do exceptionally well! He has done a gorgeous job with my veneers and made the experience easy for me as a patient. I have been getting my teeth cleaned by Cynde for over ten years and I always look forward to it. She's very thorough and has a gentle touch. She'll even put on whatever kind of music you want to listen to! Not only does East Cooper Dental have an extremely knowledgeable and professional staff but the office is very clean and nice. They even give me a toothbrush when I arrive to brush up before my appointment begins if I request one. This is nice when coming straight from work. For me there are two things that I was looking for when I was researching the best dentist in Charleston area: they have to take my insurance and they have to have good reviews, hence people like them and are eager to spend 5 min of their time reviewing them online. East Cooper Dental had very good reviews and I wasn't disappointed when I tried them. Dr. Warner was accommodating of my schedule and did an amazing job on all my fillings and front teeth. He is a truly compassionate person, which is a rare feature among dentists. The staff was amazing too: the hygienist spent more than an hour for the first time with me; assistants held my hand during teeth extractions; front office staff (Shannon and Carol) made it easy to make/reschedule appointments and handle insurance claims. The prices were very reasonable and the quality of work was beyond expectations. I highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs. read more

This is the most amazing dental office and staff I have ever met! Cynde is truly an amazing hygienist. The doctors and staff are always up to date on all the latest and greatest procedures, products and information on new treatments. From the reminder calls and flexible appointment times to entering the front door always greeted with a hello and a smile. Time and effort is spent on always delivering the best quality cleaning and dental work necessary for my six month visits! I have been in the dental field myself for 25 years and I wouldn't go to anyone else. My family comes here as well. I send every one who asks where the best dentist and hygienist is in Charleston and always send them to Dr. Warner and Cynde. She is always upbeat and takes great pride in a job done with perfection. Hello folks! I am a HUGE FAN of this place!! Dr. Warner has been my dentist for 9 years, but the reason I'm writing is because of today. I came in because a filling fell out. I was in pain. I did not expect the customer service i received. Listen to this, I mentioned to Anna (i apologize I do not know her title) the sweet gal helping, that I was cold, guess what i got a blanket! Okay, yep no words. Next week my family, two children 12 and 11 are getting their teeth cleaned. [This was planned months ago, mentioning because my kids are happy there.] Very thankful today! The entire staff, especially the front desk, without them the ship goes down. I've been that girl, (not at a dental office), they are always happy and sweet. Dr. Warner, thank you. My family moved to the area in 2014 and looking for the right dental care wasn't easy. When we found East Cooper Dental, our search ended. Although it's not the closest to our home, the staff make it worth the extra drive. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and the cleanings are even fun. Following initial visit with Dr Catherine Kotz, found Dr Kotz to be flexible and attentive. One of few visits to where DDS was a good listener, direct and yet with good communication skills. Highly recommended. Practice also has cat scan which can reveal issues not shown by X-ray. read more
