Glad I listened to his advice, have been out a couple of times already and am very happy with the performance of the setup. The staff seems very knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention the shop has everything that you will need, great selection and options for every budget. Love the fact that it's a local shop as well, and not just another Dick's or Walmart.

It's a bit of a sketchy neighborhood at first glance, but don't let the surroundings blind you to the neighborly friendly faces you'll meet at Dee's, even waiting in a 6 feet apart line because of social distancing.

I went to cool gear for fishing at their address in Montauk, and spoke with the proprietor, and he was very helpful. He asked me some questions about what type of fish I was going for. Whether I was going to fish, off of a dock or jetty or from a boat. When I told him and told him my budget he recommended the type of rod type of real the type of line. I should use what type of hooks I should use the weight of the sinkers and hooks with spreaders, and he totally set me up and he even wound the line on my real for me. He was very very helpful from start to finish and he stayed within my budget. I used the gear he set me up with and I am very very happy with it. I would highly recommend this business to anyone, the proprietor really knows his stuff, and he genuinely cared about me having a good time fishing with the right equipment and not just making a sale.
