This is very good size park for people to walk, play, and fish! There are two large ponds and lots of parking! Great place for a picnic and take the kids to have some fun outdoors. read more

This park is a great place to walk your dog! Lots of walking trails, with areas along the way to take a break. The frisbee park is cool, and nicely tucked away. There are a couple of areas for kids to play, sand volley ball and basketball , The park is also well maintained. I have not taken advantage of all the amenities, but was impressed. read more

The East Metro Park is a hidden gem, located just east of downtown Manor. There's something for everyone here, with its basketball courts, playgrounds, and pool. In addition, there's a small lake stocked with fish so you can throw a line in the water without having to drive a long way from town. The park is well maintained also. Highly recommended. read more

There's so much to do at this park and it's great for children and kids of all ages! From playgrounds to multiple basketball courts, and even a pool, this is the summer go-to park. What I loved about it is that it's so peaceful and a great escape from the city. There's walking trails and lakes/ponds, to make it all so serene. (There's also ducks!) It's a really big park so you could spend a couple of hours here. read more

This park was so fun for our kids! We played on all the different playgrounds, and we stayed most of the day. Such a great park.

great walking park! dogs are on leash, frisbee golf is great. its only ten minutes from manor at most, so its worth the trip.

One of my favorite parks to go to in the area. It's great for kids and dogs alike. Can be busy on weekends but people are respectful of the environment and pick up after themselves which is a rarity at a lot of public parks these days. read more

Very pretty park !! They have a newer playscape with soft foam ground and shade overtop! Nearby benches and bathrooms were clean ! Plenty of beautiful walking trails. Easy parking lot right next to playscape. They have a playground near the baseball fields and near the soccer fields. I recommend driving to the playscape near the soccer fields ! There are no swings, but it has several slides and musical instruments to play as well. Have fun playing ! read more

Bring your smiles and bring your fun because this is the place that you will use it! There are many things to do here: exercise paths, soccer fields, rental pavilions over the water, catch and release fishing, and my favorite Disc Golf! The park is big and expansive. You can easily get lost walking the area or finding out where your party of friends have settled. They have a great playground and covered basketball area. The bathrooms are clean and there are security lights as well. My favorite thing here (yes, I am bias) is Disc Golf. You forget that you are actually still in Travis County with all of the country around you. The Disc Golf Course is a Pro Level Disc Golf course that has dual tee pads to help those with less skills. Most recently the park has hosted many great tournaments, to include recently: Texas States Disc Golf Championships (A National Tour Stop). There are many amenities here for the young and old. I like how the convenience of the children's playground is near the fishing ponds. It makes the grand parents work so much easier; they get to fish with/without the kiddos and let the kiddos play on the play ground as they wish. It may seem to be far from the City, but it is also the reason you drive out here. It is a great park and it is well maintained by the parks department. read more

This park has plenty to offer from field space for sports to paved trails which are great for walking and jogging. There is a small wooded area to go explore within the nicely sized disc golf course. There is even a fishing spot available which is great for families and bountiful basketball court space. This is without a doubt the best disc golf course I've ever been to,yeah it's a bit out of the way but that's great.It's a beautiful 18 hole course stuck in the middle of Texas brush,you would expect to see deer but all I've ever seen is snakes and cows.lots of trees and cactus(giving blood is normal right?) concrete tee boxes with a picture of the course and a good worn path between baskets,trash cans at almost every tee box.There's a creek bed that whines thru out the course,it's always been dried up when ever I've been there and has some nice looking rocks for you rock hounds(we even found some arrow heads there),my son always seems to find at least 1 disc everytime we play.It can get pretty busy on the weekends but not bad during the Hot Texas summer(we went today,8/02810 ,it was 102 today). Make sure if your in manor ,Tx, check this course out!! read more

Not exactly thrilled about this one. Been there a few times. I think the greatest thing they .... For us... Is the tire swing. Not a lot in the way of playscapes and there is virtually no shade around them. Its hotter than heck. Its right down the road from us so I'm sure we will go back...eventually. But honestly ...I was so unimpressed with the few times we did go. I kept hoping for something more but never got it. They have bridges I see people fishing off of. I guess that neat. Large courts for basketball etc.. Which is nice but also also feel a like a bit of a "grey area" in the evening.. I guess the park is OK. But not even close to the top of my list. We want to to go to the pool. We have not yet been there. Will write once we do. Hope its better than the park itself! read more

This course has a great, beautiful, and challenging terrain. The course twists and turns all through the brush and trees. A creek runs all through it - bring a towel for your hands and discs! Watch out for the cacti and other thorny plants, and I'd suggest jeans if the weather allows. It's very well kept (unlike Bartholomew), but it's tricky to find a couple holes unless you've done the course a few times. The whole park is an odd, fantastic oasis in the middle of derelict Manor. We've seen a couple other disc golfers, but the course has never been crowded (unlike Emma Long or the extinct Pease course). Even on a spring Sunday we didn't have to wait or hurry. Many holes have a pro and amateur tees. I'd highly recommend the amateur tees if you are anything but a pro. In fact, the only beef I have with this place is that it's so easy to lose a disc on so many holes. If you have any propensity for the occasional late release, the brush turns an "oops" into an "oh sh*t" with a 20 minute search for your disc. East Metropolitan Park is definitely worth checking out! read more

Great park. Staff, not so much. We were under the impression the park closed at six, which we now know is incorrect, and the staff member that came to find us very pointedly told us the park closed at sundown. Told him we were on our way back to the car right then (we already were). He must not have believed us, though, because he proceeded to drive his car onto the path/sidewalk and follow about five feet behind us until we reached our car. Definitely won't be going back. Shame, really, because the park is actually great. Lots of track to run and very scenic. Just make sure you're gone before the sun is anywhere near setting. EDIT: Sunset was actually 5:45 PM and this was at 5:34. read more

I've gone here a few times for the Neighborhood fishing stocked pond (bull frog pond). This park is a bit off the beaten path and quite a drive if you live central or in south west Austin. The pond that is stocked is quite small and the regulars know and watch the stocking dates so it definitely wasn't the nice quaint little secluded fishing experience I initially thought I'd be getting. In my head I pictured a few families, or fathers and their children, or new fishers, but it was instead mainly old long timers. They do have a little pier and I expect they stock the pond all year. Overall it was a nice experience that would have only been nicer if there were a bit fewer people out, so I wouldn't have to worry about the guy to my right casting and crossing/tangling his line with mine. read more

Overall the park is very impressive...the amenities are unrivaled too say the least..plenty to do and see for all ages..the only negative is..is that on a few occasions while trying to enjoy fishing with my family our serenity was broken by unsupervised youngster lurking over ur shoulders and underneath ur poles...very young..I suspect some parents drop off there kids and use the playscape & ppl fishing as a seragate baby setters..lol..sad but true...but, other than that I think the place is great...I just suggest u get there early b4 that midmorning child care shift begins!!! I'm just sayn'..lol read more
