Pflugerville Soccer Park This park offers a huge array of soccer fields, which come with goals and lines painted. They're well maintained fields, mowed to perfection, with no holes and mud pits. The grass was green and the place was nice! There's not a whole lot of trees here, but they do offer shade by the concessions and restrooms. I found the restrooms to be clean and well maintained. Parking is easy, with huge lots available to handle even the busiest of days at the park. Walking trails and places to sit make this park a nice place to visit! There's plenty of team sport facilities here, along with concessions! Score! So many cones! This place has the most orange cones I've seen for a park in quite some time. read more

I had no idea this place existed... really! Never been here before! My wife and another mom set up this party for after our baseball game (we won 10-5). When they told me it was just around the corner I had no idea where I was going. My wife sent me a "pin" for where she was and I drove... and drove.. where in the world was I going? It turns out I was going to this awesome park! (It looks like it is brand NEW!) Soccer fields (filled with people), skate park (really good sized, lots of hills, trick spots and it looks pristine), stage, trails, play grounds (covered with shade cloth), and covered areas with picnic tables to have events at. The place is clean, well set up, facilities are rocking, and seriously... it's all here! We had a nerf gun war here and had tons of room to run for the kids. The play ground had a rock wall, sand scoops, swings, and lots of room to run. (The restrooms were clean too!) the area is covered for shade too... very nice! The covered event area we were in had multiple tables, was really really clean, and was just a killer space. I was soooooo completely happy with this park! The kids had so much fun!! I had no idea this was here... but man we will be back! read more

This is such an awesome hidden park with soooooo many cool things to enjoy... Cool things... -It has a skate/ BMX park..Complete with ramps, & slopes, & other cool BMX thingies :-) -It is an awesome location to take outdoor portraits since it has a several different wooden items to pose on..like a really long wooden bench, wooden seating, lots of trees, ect. ect. -a huge basketball court -a tennis court -splash pad for the little ones -concrete trails to run on or walk for those lazy like me :) -covered picnic tables to have a cookout or just chillax on -covered playscape complete w/ rock climbing mountain thing for the kiddies But just know that when you first drive into Northeast Metropolitan Park you will see all the sports fields 1st..baseball, soccer, & flag football so you need to keep driving towards the back of the park to reach all of the cool things that I listed above :-)...yes, your welcome;-). Honestly, pretty poor fields overall. It's nice that there are plentiful fields in the North Austin area, but these fields are subpar at best. There are numerous ant hills on every field, the center circle and goal boxes are dirt, and a sprained ankle is waiting to happen on every part of the fields. Travis County can do a better job maintaining and up-keeping these fields read more

Pretty much your run-of-the-mill, upper-slash-mid-middle-class, well-manicured-and-over-hyphenated (hah) soccer complex. But seriously, this place is pretty nice. Well cared-for, and fairly easily navigated this park is ready for some kids to rip into it! You can cycle, jog, etc., but I was obviously here for the soccer. The only thing that knocked this park down from a 5-star review was the ill-supplied and (let's face it) sanitarily questionable (you get the drift) snack bar. Leave it to a semi-pro eater to grade a city soccer field by its snack bar. read more

Best Park for learning and growing but terrible Fucking staff. We went there after A While but While I was Mid skate The Lights went out with unclear warning at the exact time of lights going out. BEWARE OF BOWL AT 9:00, when They turn off the lights If you aren't careful you Can mess up or fall into the Bowl and die. There are No lights up there. Otherwise good Park! read more

This is a large park with many activities for the family. There is a huge skate park that has various hills and such for any type of skater. There are different trails for hiking as well courts for basketball and tennis. There are also BMX trails to enjoy. There are many bbq pits with picnic tables scattered throughout the park to enjoy a nice day out. There is also a playscape for the kiddos which is rather nice. You can rent out a field for sports as well here There are many things to enjoy while outdoors at this park! Of course dogs are welcome with a leash. Our doggie loved it here. We will include this in our list of "Go To" parks for sure. read more

I'm honestly surprised at how impressed I was with this park that I have been totally sleeping on all these years living like 3 minutes away from!! Shame on ME! We were there today for a field trip, and after going through what seemed like a maze of playground options, I found my sons class. Get out, and walk to the playground and was like "whoa-- this is soft!".. The grounds of the playscapes are super spongy! Yeah, your kid can fall and get hurt, but this thing was like 3 layers of foam! Totally awesome for rambunctious kids, and little kids!! Absolutely love the fact that these playscapes are C O V E R E D.. Yeah, you read that right, covered! There is nothing worse than molten hot slides, and blistering heat cooking you when all you want to do is get out of the house for a little bit! From what I could see, each of their 4 playscapes were all covered! Tennis courts looked weak, but I guess its all about what you prefer. Basketball court was full sized and covered too!! Score! Skate park looked pretty extensive! Gazillion acres of soccer fields and baseball fields. Hike and bike trails. GREAT place to let your teenager learn how to drive too!! LOL Lots of picnic tables, and covered pavilions, and facilities. FREE. Yeah. Definitely a great park. read more

Unfortunately, my soccer league plays over half of its games here at Northeast Metro Park in Pflugerville. The park is composed of soccer fields, a small playground, restroom facilities, concession stands (although I've never seen these?), and space for your hiking/biking/blading/running. In truth, the park is a giant open space attracting some sort of bizarre continuous wind tunnel and possessing a collection of extremely holey, uneven playing fields. While I appreciate the county giving the space to amateur organizations like the Austin Women's Soccer League, the fields are terrifying to play on. Watch for rolling ankles. Take a windbreaker. Fill up on gas for the inconvenient location. And bring a book because you'll be waiting on the parks dept. to fill the field holes with sand. Unless you've got a two-year-old with excess energy that you'd like him to burn off by running around an open field, I'd avoid this Travis County locale. read more

Wow! We spent the morning out here around the park, cycling and checking out the scenery. It was gorgeous! The park is well-designed for parking and for cyclists, and the people around there were super nice, waving to passerby. What a nice part of Texas! My two favorite parts? 1. A real rooster crowed! I didn't see it, but I sure heard it! It was like we were a billion miles from Austin, when we weren't. 2. A small-ish windmill, with peeling blue paint, that read Chicago Motor on it. HUGE park that can fit almost any of your needs... Each year I help out with our church's Helicopter Easter Egg Drop and these facilities are a perfect match for large crowds and large events. We have used the concession areas, fields, and even rode the bike trails (which are long and connected)... the park staff is always willing to help and monitor the area. Overall, its a great sports type park with all the fields and the staff was always willing to help us out. read more

My wife and I have been walking the dogs and exploring the area since they first purchased the land and even before they scraped dirt. Where the paved walking trail makes a large loop on the south side of the park that area was once a horse riding trail complete with jumps. They used to run the horses there and when the riders jumped the hurdles all of their change fell from their pockets. We had fun with our metal detector. It is a great park. In our estimation the hike and bike trails are under utilized. The soccer fields and baseball fields are always in use but never seem overcrowded. There is a new water play area next to the skateboard park. Our only complaint with the skateboard stuff is that those kids should be required to wear helmets while using the park. It is paved in concrete and any accidental tumble could be your last. And by the way, on an early morning bike ride last week (June 2013) she saw a mountain light trot out of the woods. I know, I know, everyone will think she is crazy but what she described to me could only be a mountain lion. There have been rumors of them in Williamson county for years now. There have been reports of dead dogs. sheep, goats, fawns, and other small animals found in sparsely populated areas if the county. We drug up all sorts of Google images and when she saw the mountain lion that was it. Take it with a grain of salt if you like but keep your kids and yous dogs on a leash. read more

The lack of shade and fly balls are a real problem here. Spend a little extra and get shade in there. I get anxiety every time someone screams "heads up" b/c I've already been hit once. Boo!! read more

It's OK We play a few games per mens league soccer season here, and occasionally rent a field to practice under the lights. The fields are in mediocre shape most of the time, and for some reason it's always windy up there, even when the rest of the city is calm as can be. A whiff of manure, or some other rotting organic matter, is not a rarity while playing, which can be a little gross. On the plus side, it's easy to get to from the new toll road, they have actual bathrooms instead of port-a-potties, and there is plenty of parking. If they could maintain their fields as well as the complex at Onion Creek, they'd get another couple of stars. read more

3 stars for the grounds--the fields and trails are just OK and there is always a 15MPH wind tunnel/vortex present. 4 stars for cleanliness--it is very clean. 2 stars for playground--not that great but it's there. There's quite a bit of land so you can walk, run, bike, and of course do the sports thing, good park but I wouldn't encourage non-neighborhood folks to go out of their way. read more

Came here with the kids on a day when there weren't any games going on. Nice and quiet I can see how no shade would be an issue, all the benches around the playground don't have big trees over them. So come on a cloudy breezy day! read more

This park is used almost daily by my son who is an avid BMX'er. First I want to say how lucky we are to have this park, particularly the BMX/Skate part of the park. The BMX/Skate park is built very well. My only complaint is when it is crowded, it can be very dangerous with the bikes, skatboards and roller bladers all using it together. Please don't bring small children when it is crowded. Injury will be the result. Skooters are a particular problem. I have seen crashes between bikers, skaters and scooters. It would be nice to have separate skateboard and separate BMX facilities. But I know that probably will never happen due to costs. The skate park is well lit and has cameras everywhere! Plenty of pic nic tables and benches for watching. Also bleachers near the bowls for observers. There are water fountains and clean restrooms. There are folks that come from far distances to enjoy this aspect of this park. Travis County Park Rangers patrol the park on a regular basis. Keeps the nonsense down. Plus they are there to help in any emergency. read more

I was a spectator at a Rugby tournament held here. So I can't really comment on the fields (however there was a really nice breeze that the fans loved, the players not so much). It was a little difficult to get to for people who are not from the area. The best part was that the bathrooms were actual bathrooms and not port-a-potties. This park is great. My husband plays soccer at the nearby fields so we take our kids just about every week. The playgroup is extremely clean and accessible for most kids including my two-year old who is a daredevil. Bathrooms are accessible and for the most part kept clean. At least one of the fields right next the playground is always available and my girls love to run around while I can watch them without worry. If you live in the Pflugerville area don't miss out on this park. Especially if you have very hyper children! read more

Excellent soccer and baseball park off in the middle of no where. Has lights for night games, all fields seem to be maintained well.

Great park for baseball, soccer, etc. My son loves the BMX/skateboard park. Lots of open areas to do whatever. Lots of playgrounds! Easy to get to at Pecan and Toll 130. To those whining about the shade I say, go find another lazy, shady park. There are plenty in Pflugerville. This park is all about being active. Hit some fly balls to the kids. Go for a run. Ride the BMX park. play soccer. Shade is for northerners and albinos... LOL read more
