Tucked in between rows of residential blocks lies Rattan Creek Park, a cozy and relaxing trail to walk through in the North Austin area. As a private park it is very clean and well looked after with the paths looking fresh and the overall aesthetic of the park looking much more groomed than many other trails in Austin. The trail itself is pretty easy to walk through and there are no difficult areas to get by. Lining the trail are different areas to do workouts which is nice to see and there are also sporting areas at the community center as well. The foliage looked great and the rest of the open areas seemed well put together. This is definitely a fantastic park to walk through with family, friends, or dogs if you're in the area. read more

A kid with a gel blaster called my friend a dickhead and gave us 5 seconds to run and then the kid chased us and later when we were walking by the field the kid tries to shoot my friend and so I walk backwards away from the kid and I stick up the middle finger and the kid shots me with the gel blaster and he used pebbles read more

This is a community park so please be mindful if you decide to hike this trail. Mostly a flat, gravel path that takes you to two dead ends on each end of the trail. I parked at the community park (there's a small parking lot) and started my hike heading east. This segment is very scenic with plenty of shade. The trail winds back and forth, which made the walk interesting to me. The westward segment has no shade and only a couple benches to rest. I saw much less people on this side; the trail is mostly straight. read more

We just moved nearby this area and had to walk our dogs here on a weekend morning. Now, we come here almost every day. It's such a relaxing walk and a nice community. The park is so nice, clean, and the dogs love it (but they're not really picky.. as long as they get to be outside). There are a couple of other smaller parks nearby that we've also checked out and go occasionally, but Rattan Creek Park is definitely our favorite in the area. read more

I walk through this park at least 3 times a week. The trees and grass are beautiful and well maintained, theres flowers everywhere, adorable creatures, its never too crowded, it has a large variety of amenities, and its great for people watching. Even on the hottest days walking through the park is bearable because the trees offer such nice shade. On early morning walks I get to see swim meets taking place frequently at the pool, and in the evenings/afternoons its pretty quiet. Theres a parking lot. And, water fountains and trashcans, aswell as well stocked doggy pickup cans and bags can be found throughout the park. read more

Absolutely love this park. I come here almost everyday to run and it never gets old. It's beautiful and kept up nicely. I always feel safe as well. It's easy to track mileage because there's a marker for every 160 meters. (1/10th of a mile) Rattan Creek is a hit with the kids as well. I don't have kids but the park is always loaded with them and moms so it must be good. There's tennis courts, a basketball court, sand volleyball, a playground, and random outdoor work out equipment along the trail. You'll also see lots of four legged friends. I did see a snake once so always be careful when on the trail. *not good for roller blading or skating, the trail is paved with gravel* read more

This park has two of my park must haves, shade and lots of trees. Not sure they like sharing since there was a sign posted saying that it's private for residents. What sign?!? Also interesting that there is a Williamson County Sheriff's Office on site. We went on a late afternoon on a Sunday and there was a steady influx of people. Never to the point of overcrowding though. Plus, it's fun to people watch. Kiddos had fun here with the mini hills for running down, the rock climbing wall, spinning chair, tire swing and playscapes. I live here. I had no idea they advertise these small facilities for the public. I came across the ad when I was searching for a dog park near me, because there is none here! I wonder why? Lots of things for sports and kids, but no dog park despite all the dog owners who live here. read more

Great little combination park, playground, tennis courts, and swimming pool. There are enough shady trees and artificial shade devices to keep the sun off of the playground. Plus, there's a nice grove of trees. There's a climbing rock that is fun for the kids. read more

Great little tucked away park. Nice playground for the young ones and lots of open space and trails for the older ones. Includes covered picnic areas and quite a few drum BBQ grills, just like any park in TX is supposed to! My boys want to return. read more

This park was absolutely amazing. The grass was SO green, even though it's barely spring, and it was very well kept. The two playgrounds are huge, and there's also a small rock climbing wall, two sets of swings (one on each side) and more than 10 places to sit, like benches, in the immediate vicinity. There are countless more as you make your way down the path. I have a 5 year old and 7 month old, and both had a blast! There are baby swings, and so many places to sit in the grass and play. My son rolled down the grassy hill many times. There's a volleyball sand court with a net, but it looked like it was being used by kids more than volleyball players to make sand castles. =) That of course was in the middle of the day during the week. The pool is only available to members...either those that live in the community or those that pay a $200 membership for a summer, which includes 4 passes. Under 2 is free. This park is a blast...there are many nice parks in Austin, but so far in my travels, this one takes the cake. read more

Parks are not all created equal. I have missed reviewing this park for some reason... Been there quite a bit with my kiddos.. We absolutely love this place. Its so nice and shady ad there is so much to do. Nice trails around d for biking or walking . most of the playscape area is shaded by both trees and canopies. Beautiful landscape. Green grass. Plenty to play on. A rock wall. Swings. Slides. The spinning seat. Nice padded interiors for falls and trips! Lol. Honestly love the park. I love that its not ever crowded. And that I can enjoy my time there as well the kids enjoying theirs. Overall a great park. Can't go wrong here. There is also a pool and tennis courts here as well. The pool price depends on where u live.. If outside the immediate area its a couple hundred a head.. Definitely for the rattan area folks only!! I only have one pic for now.. But have plenty more on hard drive.. Will upload more when I can. read more

Great park with nice walking trails, fields and a play area for the kids. My dogs love it there! I've been going for years and I am not an official resident of the community. I think only pool access is restricted for residents. read more

This is a really nice park! Me and all my family like to come to the pool during the summer. We live in the Rattan Creek area, so for us the pool costs only a little bit, which is nice because our yard does not have a pool and is not made to have one. The park itself is also very nice, and though I don't really like parks with playgrounds for some reason, this one is nice because it is pretty clean and not very junky, and the climbing rock seems pretty nice and not sharp, good for small kids who climb it. Benches are pretty clean and well-kept, like the plants and grass. And guess what? The soccer field has grass and the creek has water! And not only that, but the creek has fish. Fun. And water fountains kinda muddy at times but water I guess is fine and never muddy. I also love walking the trails at times and doing the exercise stations there. Very cool. Hot, but shady. tennis courts are there. Nice. Over all, nice place for everyone. You should go there and play/hang out sometime. read more

This park is great for running! Its a bit exposed at parts, but there are some big tress to cover you too. Its about a mile from end-to-end. There is a small play scape that has a water fountain about mid-point, so it makes for a good water break spot if you are training at higher mileage. They just did maintenance on the trails not too long ago, so get your running shoes on and go shred some trail! read more

It's a very fun park! My friends and I love to hang at the pool, the pool is very fun. The pool does things for teens called teen night once a month over summer, to hang with their friends. Great Park! read more

This is a great little park. It's in Williamson County so the Williamson County leash law requiring dogs to be on leashes applies.
