I had such a lovely experience today at East Pole Coffee, that I immediately needed to update this review. First, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The shop was not packed, but not empty. There was space to be comfortable, and I did not feel like my neighboring table was breathing in my coffee. The seasonal special is usually an orange sage latte, but this Valentine's Day, they created a special latte. It included blood orange bitters, muddled raspberry and a hint of chocolate. It was served served with a single raspberry chocolate heart. It was SO well thought, well-crafted and delicious. Despite the sweet flavors of the latte, the espresso still shines. I loved the bleacher seating and the fact that there's a room that serves as a traditional coffee shop. The place was clean with many young students on their laptops or reading. It was a noisy shop, quiet bleachers. Very pricey with my modifications compared to other local shops, and to be honest, the drip nor the latte was remarkable. They did offer a free refill for the drip which was nice. We didn't take advantage though because it wasn't that great. I wouldn't come back, as it's not worth the price or the drive. My boyfriend and I were in the ATL visiting his family, and I wanted to bring my sister back something cool from Atlanta. While browsing cool places on Yelp, I came across the mugs they have 'from Atlanta', and HAD to go there to get her one! It would be the perfect gift! When we pulled up we got parking right out front and walked into a cool industrial building with old school bleachers! When we walked into the coffee shop, it was a chill vibe with a lot of people working and studying on computer. They had the mugs right our front with other cool apparel they had. My bf and I both got the regular brew they had which was a lighter coffee. I'm not a huge fan of light roast, but I got it and added oat milk and it was divine! Yep, East Pole Coffee Co. meets the criteria for "cool" spot to hang at. Aesthetically appealing? Check. Sorta off the beaten path? Check. Check I specifically went looking for East Pole Coffee because it's only 5 minutes from my girlfriend's place, and I was up for a cup of Joe AND I just never go to this side of Armour Drive/Ottley drive. I just got a cup of drip coffee ($3). Curiously, there was no splenda or splenda alternative at East pole...or if there was someone snagged it all before I got there. Still, I took the coffee home and splenda'd it up when I got home. Parking is on the street, and there's a parking strip right in front of the shop. Customer service was just fine and even though there were a decent amount of tables and seats, it was pretty congested with crowds...so if you want a spot, you may want to get here early. There's a lot to like about East Pole Coffee. I only happened to stick around for a couple minutes and only got drip coffee, so my score may change if I actually sit, stay and order a pastry or two. 4 stars at the moment is pretty good I think for a score. The downside is the lack of quality food or snacks and the bathroom is far so you have to leave your laptop with a friend. Came here to do work on a weekday afternoon. It's located right down the street from sweetwater on an industrial looking road. I got a latte and a drip coffee. The quality of the coffee/espresso was pretty good. I found out they roast all their own coffees there. The space was smallish. There were not many spaces to work especially ones with a plug accessible for my laptop that was running low on battery. However there is a lobby area right outside the coffee shop connected to an office space with stadium style seating that is more spacious to work but does not have plugs either. I had been working at the coffee shop for several hours and they had a food cart selling BBQ. I grabbed some lunch and came back into the coffee shop and several employees told me rudely that I cannot eat outside food inside the coffee shop. I thought this was weird since it was all connected and open. I ended up sitting in the lobby seating, eating lunch, then coming back inside. Long story short: good coffee, not a good space to work for several hours as there is not much space and you can't eat there except for their pastries. I would like to try to come for their cuppings on weekend mornings though! read more

Skip this place. The coffee is mediocre at best, but the real issue is the overall incompetence of the barista. The dude was dancing around, cleaning the espresso machine, and socializing with customers and the staff instead of making drinks. What should have been, at most, a 10-minute wait turned out to be 30 minutes, and it was only because I went up and asked if they had an order for my drink that I got out of there at all. I really don't get the hype of this place. There's minimal table seating, the drinks are overpriced, and the food isn't that good. He was originally going to pick me up, but due to poor planning on his end, he was getting a car wash when I arrived. Typical Jon, amirite? But I guess getting coffee is, in a way, the opposite of the mental drain that hanging out with Jon is. I probably shouldn't complain. I went with their fancy pour-over coffee, and it was as serious as coffee comes. If you like your Joe super sweet, this is not for you. If you like to feel like you could easily climb a large mountain after drinking coffee, this is exactly the thing that you need in your life. I'm not sure which bean I had in my cup, but it was pretty decent. The truth is, I don't drink this kind of coffee because it tastes amazing - I drink it for the caffeine. As long as it doesn't taste horrible, I'm in. And this was certainly not horrible. I was a little worried about seating because the place was pretty full, but I didn't even notice that next door was a room full of seating that essentially looked like a giant staircase. I came a quarter til 10 on a Saturday and they were lively. Nonetheless I was able to find a seat by the window to work. I'd categorize the vibe as industrial glam. They have gold barstools, wooden countertops and tables, big windows letting in lots of natural light, and high ceilings with exposed ducts and white walls (i.e. Instagram friendly). There's street parking available and a small parking lot. I ordered the chili mango herbal tea. Despite the name it wasn't spicy in taste. It was more so spicy in scent. At a couple points I felt a slight tingle in the back of my throat but that was it. I still enjoyed it though and would definitely get it again. To have with my tea I got their sweet potato biscuit and cardamom granola bites. Both were really good and I'd highly recommend either. They toasted the biscuit and it was moist and flaky yet still dense. Perfect. The sweet potato flavor came shining through. If you want something sweeter but don't want a full on pastry this would be a great option. The cardamom granola bites were dense and quite sweet courtesy of the dates. The cardamom gave it something extra. Definitely something I'd like to recreate at home. The total for everything was $7.75 which I felt was reasonable given the quality of what I got. Overall I'd come back here again. It's not a place I'd set up shop to do a marathon work session but it's a nice spot to chill out for an hour or two or meet up with friends. read more

I came in here as a visitor and I liked my first experience! The environment is welcoming and when you first walk in, you come into a space that has staircase seating. I had never seen that and thought it was a different way of sitting, but liked it! The drink was great (I got a dirty chai) and my only feedback would be the breakfast sandwich did not look appetizing to me even though that is what I got. I should have gotten something else. I needed a little Labor Day pick-me-up (yes, they were open!). Both TikTok AND Yelp directed me to this place so I only thought it was appropriate to give it a try. I ordered a basic latte (mind you, I come for the flavor) and they had cute calling cards and even added a little pizzazz which was way more than I had expected! I got mine to go, but noticed those who ordered to stay had super cute cups and containers so you'll be pleased for your Instagram aesthetic if you come here for a cup of joe. Parking was a little weird, personally I think I parked in a tow zone but I saw other patrons park there so maybe it was ok? Don't quote me on that though heehee. The baristas were all super nice and friendly; they all abided by covid protocols (unlike the locals but were in Georgia so to be expected). But don't let that deter you, everyone was super sweet and kept the line flowing even if they didn't wear their own masks. I'm glad I stopped by because I ended up sitting on one of the outdoor couches and just soaking up the wonderful overcast weather and it looks like the perfect spot to come back and study at. They have a bunch of tables inside, outdoor loungers, as well as a set of bleachers that have wall plug in ports for your devices. All in all, would definitely return. First off, this cafe is extremely beautifully decorated. The windows, furniture and decor are all modern and minimal. Everything feels like it is specifically curated for this cafe. The barista was friendly and knowledgable on the drinks, which was great since I never know what I want. The coffee was rlly good and they come out and serve it to you. My friend and I were able to easily find parking and definitely enjoyed the quiet yet chill atmosphere. I will definitely come back. Loved this coffee shop! We decided to check this spot out on a Friday afternoon and were glad we did. There is a parking lot outside of the complex with plenty of spots which made it easy to drive to. The inside of the cafe is modern and simplistic, but so l loved the decorations and set up. There are both bar areas and tables to sit at, and it isn't loud. It seems to be a great place to study or do work, and there are plenty of seats near outlets. It was also not too crowded for a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't hard to get a table to sit at. Regarding the drinks, they have a small menu with only a few drink options which I don't mind. We decided on the seasonal latte and a plain iced coffee. The seasonal latte was made with peppercorn, sage and citrus. It was slightly spicy and smelled wonderful.
