    Tuna Tartar

East Tokyo has been my go-to for all types of Asian cuisine. Their lunch specials are phenomenal, but I was most recently surprised by how delectable their Tuna Tartar was. Also, the staff is very kind and helpful!

Place is okay if you're coming with typical expectations (nothing upscale). For the positives... Lunch and dinner portions are generous. I do recommend getting one of their bento boxes - beef Negimaki while flavorful, not quite visually appealing as I remember (home made). And what can be improved... Crab Rangoon I would call a pass - tough with very little filling. I'm curious to say what business owner has to say, I'm planning to revisit in the future if presentation improves.

Their lunch specials are very attractive, especially if you're feeling like a cheapskate. Listen........$6.50 for sesame chicken, fried rice, a couple crab rangoons and a wonton soup. Not only was I full, but that sounds like a GREAT deal to me! The chicken was crispy and had the perfect amount of sauce. Accompanied by fresh broccoli and fried rice, which was also very good as well. The crab rangoons were cooked fresh to orded, they were litterally golden. I also had an eggroll, I usally hate these chinese eggrolls but this one I really liked. It had some meat in it as well. I had some sushi last time I came here and it was also very good. They had some quality stuff for amazing lunch special prices. The hostess is also really funny and friendly. Whemever I want a deal for lunch, I come here. Like....wow.

Finally! A great place for sushi and Japanese/Chinese food! We have done take out both times but the food was plentiful, fresh tasting and flavorful. We've tried The orange chicken. Very good. They dont skimp the rice comes in a separate container. Bento boxes. My daughter loved hers. In it was teriyaki chicken, white rice, dumplings, cali roll. Came with soup and salad. Wow! They said everything was so good! I was craving California rolls so I got two rolls and went to town! This will be our go to for nights I dont feel like cooking and want some yummy chinese takeout. Give it a try !

Very good food, service is amazing. Volcano roll is my favorite. Best place to stop for asian food and sushi.

Salad and miso soup (lunch special)

I ordered delivery, but this restaurant is located in Stop n Shop. There is no delivery fee but there is a $20 minimum. The lunch specials are a good deal. I got a 3 roll lunch special which comes with salad and miso soup for around $10. The rolls are decent, but the spicy salmon roll has some crunchy thing in it which made it a bit weird. I also got a special roll, orange dragon roll, which consists of salmon and avocado. It was big but I didn't think the taste was that special for the price. I'll stick to the lunch specials and combos.

Food was excellent. Staff alone should get five stars for friendly service. Easy parking. Good music too.

We came on a Friday evening and it was full but they were able to find us a table quickly. Inside, the place has a very casual feel and I honestly wasn't sure what we were going to get when we ordered. Just to say, looks were deceiving, but in a good way! The food was at a different (better) level than the ambience in the room. Basically, don't worry about how the place looks - you will love the food. Our waitress was sooo nice and friendly. We got our drinks quickly and ordered right away. Though we came for sushi, we were all mesmerized by the entree options and opted to try the bento boxes. I'm used to small bento boxes with tightly portioned foods and the "basics." What we got surprised us all. These bento boxes were actually huge plates of food. A full order of vegetable tempura, a whole California roll, entree, soup and gyoza. We barely made it through a quarter of it! And it was delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was so tender. The tempura was fried perfectly and the gyoza had a great flavor. All in all, I recommend you try this place out! Is it a fancy date night place? No. Is it a super casual date night place? Yes! Try the bento - you won't be disappointed! 4/5 stars only because they should spruce up the inside to match their amazing food!

Our server was very friendly and attentive. Appetizers came out quickly and our entrees followed. The takoyaki was good with a little spicy kick to it. We tried the taco (octopus) salad and enjoyed the tartness of it. One dish we ordered was the Hibachi steak and scallops that was more like a meal with the noodles, fried rice and vegetables. Noodles were a little bland until I mixed it with the sauce covering the steak. Noticed that the scallops aren't the same size which would have been nice, but they tasted great. Took a photo of the dessert menu thinking we would get some dessert but between the appetizers and entrees we were full.

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams.
