    Spicy Hot Pot Noodle

The most flavorful broth in town! We have been searching high and low for a truly delicious ramen experience, and we finally found it! We dined in today around 6pm, the service was fantastic and the food was even better. The three of us each ordered a different ramen: Spicy Hot Pot Noodles, Tonkotsu Ramen (pork), and Creamy Curry Shrimp Ramen. All three ramen had incredibly flavorful broth, delicious proteins, and fresh veggies. I'm looking forward to bringing my family members here and trying even more of the menu! They also have a very convenient rewards program: I was able to sign up and immediately get $5 off my bill. Then I gained a point for every dollar I spent. And after 100 points I will get another $5 off. As a frugal person, I really appreciate a good rewards system, and I think it positively enhanced the overall experience. I'll definitely be visiting again soon!

A hidden but not so hidden gem in town. I was introduced to this place and had to come back two days later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice and clean space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not too big so having large groups may be challenge[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was really good. I didn't care for the shumai so much, however, miso soup, and sushi rolls were great size and even better taste. There is limited street parking so I would suggest going early. I look forward to being a regular here.

Sushi was very good. Tried the fire roll which was awesome. Everyone liked their sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service focused and flat but improved throughout the meal. Do not like QR code menus and ordering. Would return to try ramen.

We've stopped into Niuda a few times now, and have really enjoyed the sushi every time! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love that lunch is 15% off the menu prices! There's 15 minute parking out front for take out. My husband loves the "sushi burrito" which is stuffed full of crab and spicy and jalepeno and mango. I really enjoy the "simple sushi" like salmon and tuna rolls. The "American sushi" entree is great. The fish is very fresh. Most rolls can be modified to be gluten free and they have gluten free soy sauce. They're great about allergens and modifications! Definitely a place I'll continue to return to!

Niuda is located where Cafe 56 used to be. I came in a few days before Christmas and was pleasantly surprised by how cozy the interior was. Specifically, I loved the window seats! My friend and I opted for sushi. While I didn't think it was anything super special, the fish was very fresh, and the sushi was pretty good. I'm excited to come back and try their noodle options in the future!

Why didn't I visit Niuda sooner?!?! Middletown has too many good restaurants and it's not fair. Niuda Is soooo good and the menu is huge!! I absolutely loved the Fire Roll. It was so fresh and flavorful. I also sampled the fried oyster app and some of my husband's braised beef noodles. Everything is delicious. We are already planning our return visit. Pro tip: stop for cocktails at Conspiracy beforehand.

The service here is very calm and relaxing, first thing I noticed when I came into the store I got greeted with warm welcoming. I ordered a spicy tuna tata appetizer, it was made quickly and taste delicious. I highly recommend coming here to give it a try.

I met a friend for a simple sushi dinner. The restaurant is small, but cozy, clean and comfortable. We chose a seat (booth) at the window. Only one other table had customers, however, I noticed at least one dozen take out orders being picked up. We both ordered sushi (spicy salmon and shrimp tempura). Nothing fancy tonight! They were really good. I also ordered a salad, since I'm trying to eat more veggies. We're probably crazy for not ordering noodles, but we promised to return together and try them. Service was very fast, easy parking, quality product. Can't wait to return!

One of my Instagram Foodie Friends recommended Niuda a few weeks ago, but I couldn't remember if it was for Sushi or Noodles. So, on my first visit, I ordered a bit of both. My wife and I split the Fire Roll as an app. After we ordered, our server told us it's one of their most popular rolls. The individual pieces were rotated 45 degrees up and then lined up on a long plate. They were filled with raw salmon and tuna and avocado, topped with spicy tuna, artfully sauced with a Hoisin-y Eel Sauce and Spicy Mayo and garnished with green onions and tobiko. It was beautiful, fresh and delicious. One of the better rolls I've had within 30 minutes of home. My Spicy Beef Noodle Soup wasn't called ramen, but with the good chewy noodles and that half egg, it presented as what some other places call ramen. I liked it a lot. It arrived steaming hot. The beef was thicker and more shaped than you would get in pho. The spice was manageably tongue-numbing like you would experience with Dan Dan Noodles. I loved the Bok Choy. In a good way, this soup felt homey and rustic, and it wasn't trying to emulate the noodle soups served by other top CT places. This downtown Middletown building has been there for a while and the interior has sort of a well decorated old school vibe. Service was very friendly and efficient. A well deserved Five Stars

Beef Ramen noodle with green tea

Food was absolutely excellent. The beef Ramen noodle with extra vegetables was truly delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music however, was not in keeping with the Japanese restaurant...violent rap and some song about someone wanting to die was playing while I'm trying to enjoy a delicious luncheon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can see why most people do takeout. Next time I will do takeout. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Please change your music selection and make it an enjoyable environment for your customers and patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Always delicious! Door dash quick & the best fast Togo dinner around. MUST try the Volcano Roll if you're a fan of loaded & saucy tempura rolls. Yum!

"Spicy maki combo" was the same mess of bland red, orange and yellow as the other rolls we regret ordering
    Mika S.

Disappointed... at least the restroom and tables were clean. Server was attentive. Godzilla roll was good with generous avocado and spicy tuna. Sashimi was a generous proportion, tasty with good texture. Miso was nice. Napkins are thick. However, the negatives were glaring. Cold tea was single use disposable plastic bottle so no refills and the kind of selection I usually make in a gas station. Lackluster calamari appetizer foreshadowed the "spicy" mayo sauce (actually bland and blobby) being a substitute for flavor on everything else. The biggest issue was five out of six different rolls were the same red, orange & yellow lackluster ingredients reiterated to the point they were barely indistinguishable from each other. Pic posted is the disheveled spicy maki combo I dissected to figure out what I had ordered and why it was not good. I hate knocking restaurants, esp mom & pop, but the 5 star reviews and photos were far from our experience.

Another Asian Fusion restaurant? This one is up there in my favorites. Niuda is almost hidden being off the Main Street here in Middletown but now I have great reason to be in this area. Upon walking in I was greeted with very friendly staff that made me feel at home. Our waitress seemed very proud of their food which is always a great sign. To start off, I tried the Niuda Fried Chicken Wings which had this delicious sauce to go with it. The wings were light, crispy and meaty. What more could I want? The King Crab Crunch Roll was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. All the ingredients appeared to be fresh and the roll itself was very filling. Our main course was the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. It was delicious! The brisket had this nice smokey flavor to it and was really soft but still had a nice chew to it. The noodles were pretty good and the broth itself was very spicy in a good way. Take a bite of brisket and finish it with some broth, it'll give you a nice kick at the end of your bite. Other than that, I saw that they have 15% their lunch menu as well. Just another reason to come here. I know Asian Fusion is everywhere and sometimes don't get enough business to stick around but this is a good one. I felt the passion and tasted the flavor. If that even makes sense. Either way, the foods good so I'm good. Thanks Niuda.

A small but nice place to eat.

The food was at a different (better) level than the ambience in the room. Basically, don't worry about how the place looks - you will love the food. Our waitress was sooo nice and friendly. We got our drinks quickly and ordered right away. Though we came for sushi, we were all mesmerized by the entree options and opted to try the bento boxes. I'm used to small bento boxes with tightly portioned foods and the "basics." What we got surprised us all. These bento boxes were actually huge plates of food. A full order of vegetable tempura, a whole California roll, entree, soup and gyoza. We barely made it through a quarter of it! And it was delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was so tender. The tempura was fried perfectly and the gyoza had a great flavor. All in all, I recommend you try this place out! Is it a fancy date night place? No. Is it a super casual date night place? Yes! Try the bento - you won't be disappointed! 4/5 stars only because they should spruce up the inside to match their amazing food!

I ordered takeout this visit because I was shopping nearby, but I've dined in before and would definitely come back to sit down and fully enjoy the atmosphere and authentic cuisine. This time I ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The flavor was savory with a subtle sweetness from the pineapple, and it included peas, carrots, eggs, and small seeds throughout that added texture. The shrimp were medium sized, and my small to-go portion came with four pieces. The dish was delicious, but next time I'd probably order extra shrimp. They also have a large variety of menu options including sushi, hibachi, vegetarian dishes, and specialty drinks. I especially love that they offer Japanese sodas and Tuesday drink specials Parking is convenient too. There's a public paid parking lot directly across from the restaurant. The Age Tofu was pretty good as a general consensus, though most of the fried stuff was a bit too oily. The Kani Salad was pretty good (their spicy mayo is tasty). The fish is decent quality and fresh. Most of the sushi didn't have too much rice, which I liked. The rice held together well. Still, I prefered the "tataki" (sashimi with ponzu) over the sushi. I do wish they had a regular scallop sushi, as the spicy scallop sushi is a small piece of scallop with lots of spicy mayo and rice. The special rolls (we got Fancy Tuna, Enter the Dragon, Mango Tango and Spider Roll) are pretty heavy, as most of the flavor is from the sauces. You can order things without the dressing or sauces (see the house salad without dressing....yes, it's just lettuce lol) Make sure to save room for ice cream!
