Except for the girl at the office who sits in front and checks in patients. Other than that, every time we call they give my spouse and I attitude and speak to us in a very degrading way. Especially Erica and the one on the side that checks you out. This staff definitely needs to be retrained in customer service. Also, if they ever go out of network with your insurance, be prepared for them to treat you like you're not worth their time, even if you saw them for an entire year prior. read more

I've been seeing Karen Ragaini, MD for years and she's wonderful. She's friendly, caring, and provides a holistic approach to women's health care which I really appreciate. She always has new ideas based on your health or medications and she's on top of the changes in the medical community. I'm surprised by the poor reviews on here, I've never had an issue and everyone at the office has always been very courteous to me. I wouldn't want to change doctors and I'd recommend her to to friends and family. read more

The phlebotomist Rekha was super kind and super patient. I have horrible anxiety and get really timid and scared in most medical offices due to having seizures in my past from bad experiences. Dr Ragaini was also very kind and understanding during my exams. Another assistant came and held my other hand so I didn't flinch and hurt myself on accident, she was also very kind. I was super scared and crying and they handled it perfectly and I couldn't be more thankful and apologetic for my behavior haha. First experience at a gynecologist and it went pretty well. read more

Just a few issues: There is no direct line for making appointments as a new person-going through the portal is quicker, but not until you are enrolled as a patient. I spent 30-45 mins twice. Being asked (4) days before my surgery if I want to pay a 2nd person $400 to assist with the surgery for an out of network provider for services not covered under insurance seemed like a high pressure sales tactic. It upset me a great deal, and I had no choice really, but to go forward with the surgery. I also had a severe reaction post op to the glue and it looked infected. When I called to get seen, the staff said there was a two week wait. I decided to do urgent care instead. (more $ out the window-all I needed was baby oil to remove it). When I had my follow up, Dr. Boag called my wife and me "bull d*kes" which was very derogatory. And when we tried to educate him, he said: "I can't keep up with all of these changes." Just call us "females". Not impressed with Dr. Boag or his staff. read more

Highly recommend Karen Regani!! She performed a d&c on me when I was 21 years old and had a non viable pregnancy. By coincidence, she ended up delivering my second child 6 years later. I have been with this practice for over 25 years. I will now be leaving after the recent NEGLIGENT care that I received. I saw Dr Aspen Bradley-Wolfe regarding pelvic organ prolapse and she referred me to Dr. Stone, but I usually see Dr. Ragaini. After seeing Dr. Stone, I wanted a second opinion. I went back and saw Dr. Karen Ragaini, my regular doctor, for a hormone consult and, at that time, we discussed my prolapse situation. When I told her I was sent to Dr. Stone, she said "I don't know who that is." She said she would refer me to who she refers to, for me to get a second opinion and told me to stop at the reception desk on my way out. I stopped and they gave me a business card for Dr. Mohammed Akl and told me that this is the one this office refers to... was the only card. I went to Dr. Akl for a second opinion and went with him for surgery based on the recommendation of my regular doctor. I ended up having surgery. It did not go well. My bladder prolapse was not fixed. I pointed this out to my surgeon, but he assured me that it was. It was a very painful recovery with some stitches opening up, which kept me off work even longer than expected. I had issues with being made too tight too, which has caused problems. I did not believe what Dr. Akl was telling me about the success of my surgery, as the bulge was still present. I went to see Dr. Ragaini. She told me that my bladder prolapse was still present! So, Dr. Akl was not honest with me. Dr. Ragaini asked when my surgery was and said that she should not be seeing a continued prolapse. I told her that it was done on 9/10/21 and that it was done by who she had referred me to, Dr. Akl. She responded with "Who is that?" I reminded her that she referred me to him. She asked what practice he was with and said she had no idea who he was! I could not believe my ears. She was not apologetic and acted like what occurred was no big deal! I had surgery by this doctor based on her referral, a referral I felt I could trust. She said that she usually does not send to male doctors as they can be too aggressive, making you too tight. She then gave me a referral to two different doctors and reported this is who she sends to. I was very upset, so I asked for my visit notes. I reviewed them and was in further disbelief, as her documentation did not say what had occurred. She said I had seen Dr. Stone and had surgery in Jan 2021! This upset me further, so I asked to speak with the office manager. I received a call from a gal, stating she was calling for the office manager and wanted to find out what was going on before the weekend and she was very apologetic and said the office manager would call me on Mon or Tues of the next week. It is now over a week later. I called again early this morning, 2/8/22, and was told a message was left for the office manager that I was waiting for her call. I received no return call again. I'm so disappointed and frustrated that this office would hand me a card, stating this is the only referral card, and who is used by Dr. Ragaini, and I trust this referral, have an unsuccessful and awful experience, and Dr. Ragaini doesn't even know the doctor I was sent to! This is NEGLIGENCE and Dr. Ragaini has lied in her notes, and the office manager cannot even call me to discuss! read more

Update, today I had a follow up to an ER visit, not by choice, I couldn't get in anywhere else in the timeframe needed, and I had to ask for results for testing done last Monday. I was told I would have results within a week. Dr. Ragaini told me today the results had already been reviewed days ago but nobody called me to tell me. She then writes me a RX for medication to treat said problem. I get to the pharmacy and the pharmacist tells me she wrote the RX for the wrong drug and I cannot get the medication I need until it is properly sent over by my doctor. I AM DONE WITH THIS OFFICE! I'm reporting this negligence to whoever will do something about it because this is UNACCEPTABLE! Issue after issue! read more

So last week I had emergency surgery and there were two doctors that completed the surgery. One of the OBGYN was very rude and one was so sweet even offering to take me home after spending the night at the hospital. I remember looking at both doctors really hard especially the unruly one. What happened to bedside manners? She asked why do I have an IV running through my veins? I said I'm not sure the RN just gave it to me in the ER. Fast forward to today, it did not dawn on me to look up the doctor until the actual day of the follow up...and guess who it is? The rude OBGYN who completed my surgery...Dr. Karen Ragini. I was furious with myself....for not doing my own research. I said a prayer and just went in. It's really difficult finding a decent OBGYN for a follow up. It was awful. She is the same person that she was during my brief encounter with her before the emergency surgery. She's very sarcastic which in a situation like mine it's not funny and not needed. I asked her a few questions and she looked at me and was like oh you can return to work soon. Mind you again I just had Emergency surgery and I still have pain and I'm scared emotionally, mentally and physically. She didn't care about that at all. I would not recommend anyone to this OBGYN. She needs a class on compassion and being empathetic and sympathetic to her patients needs. read more

I transferred care from a different practice because they were a nightmare and I am so happy I did! I currently see Dr. Boag and he has done everything to make me feel at ease this pregnancy. He listens to my questions and presents me with all my options before allowing me to make any decisions (you would be surprised how many doctors don't do that) I have actually raved about this practice to my family and friends because the staff is so nice and I feel comfortable going here. I called simply to reconfirm when my appointment was and I was on the phone for 13 minutes before someone answered from a different location. While I'm waiting on the phone I drive there to talk to them because they still have an hour left in the work day. Once I get there nobody is there to help me except for the woman who SHOULD be answering the phones. I tell her I'm here because I wanted to reconfirm my appointment and I've been on hold for 13 minutes and that the chandler location helped me before she did. She laughs and I tell her I got all the help from another office and I thank her. She leaves 50 minutes early carrying out lots of take out trays. To the manager of New horizons women's care: her shift was 4/10/20 and she left at 2:10 and she closed that day. Our appointment was for 2:45 with a check in time of 2:15 since my daughter was a new patient....at 3:30 we were finally called back to a room and the wait was another 45 mins before the doctor finally saw us. There was no apology from the nurse or the doctor! As a matter of fact, the doctor looked to be in pain, I even asked her if she was okay! The visit itself took all of 10 mins! I understand that you want to keep every minute of the day booked but it would be nice to be considerate of peoples time!! The waiting room was over crowed due to the over booking! Certain admin staff are very aloof, uncaring and rude. I was a patient here for 5 years. I am in early 50s....needless to say, this practice is for women who are having babies! I developed an ovarian cyst that would not go away and experienced pain/bleeding that was not normal. My mother died of ovarian cancer, so there is a concern. Dr. Ragaini ordered ultrasounds but no treatment was offered. I saw another dr in the practice when I became concerned about the bleeding. He basically told me not to worry. I decided to get a second opinion...at Mayo Clinic. I was diagnosed with a prolapsed uterus, rectocele & cystocele. I had a tumor on one of my ovaries, also. I had a hysterectomy and ovaries removed and I feel like a new person! I am so glad I left New Horizons....they really blew me off. read more

Dr Raigini used to be a good Gyno I don't know what happen. But she went downhill just rude and terse. All the women in my family went to her for at least 10 years but she gave me incorrect diagnosis. Never gave me enough information. I am a medical student so I know a little more then most so when I asked questions after coming in pregnant and scared asking her how everything looked she just said good and gave me all the normal stuff. But as soon as I asked what if I considered the alternative how well would my body bounce back if I decide to try again in 3-4 years she became cold and said we have specialists for that..... like what! You just looked at my organs with an ultrasound? I left that place in tears and more scared after she scared me into thinking I was lucky to be pregnant and could be infertile so I should count it as luck.... I will be leaving her sadly. read more

Dr. Karen Ragaini is by far the best gynecologist I've ever seen. She's very intelligent and wants to understand your individual body and conditions as a whole before making a diagnosis or treating anything, which is why she takes detailed notes of your history and symptoms. Very caring, kind and considerate. Also has a sense of humor and is very real and genuine. You can really tell she wants the best for you as an individual, she even advised me on non-gynecological things. I've recommended her to all of my female friends and family. I would have given this review five stars but I just wish the nurses were slightly more personable. This was a quick decision for an immediate issue. I have always had female doctors and this time because of urgency I went with Dr. Boag. He was so polite and thorough. I feel like he knew more about my body than I did! I went on Monday 4/13/20 because I found out I was pregnant in Friday. My symptoms a Little bit of bleeding, the MA took my vitals and asked me to take my clothes off bottom down; Doctor Karen Ragaini comes in, but as she is coming I her phone is ringing, she said is cause my kids need to be pick up, and my ex-husband can't pick them but cause he has to clean the car because he is dealing with corona virus patients. Doctor Karen Ragaini told me medical terminology that I did not understand, she did not check my cervix to see what was happening, she told me get dress and wait at the front for blood drawn. she was with me in the room probably for 5 minutes I could tell that she wanted to get out cause her brain was with her kids and whatever was happening in her life. She did not gave me the care I needed as a new patient; i ended up going to the ER the next day, and having a miscarriage. I called after I got out of the ER about my results they were not ready yet. The following day I called and left messages and the receptionist tried to tell me,we called you!! you did not answer; I said I called after I got out of the hospital you said that my results were not ready. She also made a very un sensitive comment. As a new patient I had the worst experience specially when I went on time and did what I could to avoid what happened. I feel very angry, sad, disappointed that they did not gave me the care I deserve; they sweep my symptoms under the rug and because the doctor had better and more important things to do, or take care of. I paid for a service, and got nothing. Ladies specially pregnant are more sensitive and delicate than other. I hope no one else goes thru an experience like mine. read more

Everyone was nice enoigh, but I was really disappointed in the prenatal care I received here. I was never given that in depth initial prenatal visit, and never felt like I left there informed. It was just going from one appointment to the next, never having an outline of when certain appointments would be, or how often. Testing was never discussed to make sure I made informed decisions, the medical assistant handed me a form before I even saw the doctor and you were just expected to signed it one way or the other without discussing it. It was as if they assumed I just knew how this all worked. I was urged by many friends and relatives to switch practices and found one that is extremely thorough. read more

I moved to Arizona from Idaho almost 2 years ago. I had been looking for a good OBGYN since moving here. It seemed like everywhere I was looking was not what I was needing in a doctor or in a doctors office. I got pregnant in February and just had my son the first of the month. Karen Ragaini was my MD while going through my pregnancy, and I'm glad that I was able to find her. She listened to my concerns and worries and talked me through everything. She was very understanding and thorough when doing my check ups. It was so nice going through my 9 months with the same doctor that knew me not only on a patient level but also took interest in my personal life. The front desk staff is also very nice and professional, and the nursing staff is great with making you comfortable and getting you set up for the doctor. Of course just like any doctors office there can sometimes be a wait but nothing new when you go to the doctors. I look forward to continuing to use New Horizons for future needs. read more

This place is terrible... We gave them our new insurance but yet they still do not have it on record! So they keep billing our OLD insurance which sends the bills back to us! I have been a patient of theirs since 2007. I have been seen my several doctors at this practice as well as the PAs. They are all friendly and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable talking with any of them. They have onsite phlebotomists to draw your blood for blood work if needed. They also have onsite ultrasounds. I feel like no matter the issue I'm being seen for, it is a one stop shop to get the tests needed for a diagnosis. I delivered my son in 2008 with them at Chandler Regional Hospital. The entire experience with them was wonderful. They really take care of you and check on you while you are in the hospital. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I made an account specifically after visiting this office. It's been almost 6 years since my last "annual." As a new patient, they have you arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, which I did. I was in the office for 30 more minutes before being called back (I'm now at the office for an hour). They called me back and had me change to the gown only and said the doctor would be right in. After sitting on the table, naked except for the small gown and having been in the office for over 1 1/2 hours (total), I changed back into my clothes and left. I assume they must not want new patients if this is the way they welcome them. Not only did I have to take off of work, I still have to find somewhere else for my annual. It's an understatement to say that I am extremely disappointed not only with my visit, but the overall lack of care and customer service that I received. On top of this, I had to call the office back to ensure that they did not charge my insurance for a visit that never happened. I let the office manager know that I would be writing a Yelp review, and she apologized for the experience, but how far does an apology get after wasting one's time and money. read more

Scheduled a first-time appointment 2 months ago for an ultrasound. Then a lady called me back and said since it was my first time, I'd have to do a consultation first with the doctor, which keep in mind is $250 itself to just sit there, and ultimately at the end the doctor himself would say the next step is an ultrasound. It's all about money, not the actual patients health. Keep reading, the story gets worse. I show up for my appointment scheduled for 3pm today and didn't get called until 4:12pm. This office also charges you for the services before the appointment, which is meaningless, like I wouldn't be dumb enough to show up to a doctors office if I couldn't afford it. After getting called up over an hour later, they tell me they never had me down for an ultrasound, just a consultation. I said that was a waste of time because I already knew what problems I have based on prior obgyns and I just needed an ultrasound to see any changes. They tell me they would try to fit me into an ultrasound and then they did with a lot of arguing. Then they told me I had to drink a ton of water before the ultrasound which I already peed out before they told me they fit me into the schedule. I had no time already being an hour late, I had to get to work after. Then I decide to just follow up with the consultation, and I wait in the actual clinic. The nurse practitioner came in and then the doctor never showed up at all and I was sitting there for 30 minutes. I walked up to the front desk and asked for a refund for the services because nothing was done and I received nothing but attitude from the front desk lady, which hear-me-out, should be fired this very second. She was the biggest bitch I'd ever met in my life. She was aware of the entire situation but acted careless and took other patients as priority. Some other lady came with purple hair or something and gave the same damn attitude. Who hires these people, I don't know??? But fire them because they don't deserve anything. When I asked to talk to the manager multiple times, they said the manager wasn't available DURING OFFICE HOURS. Like honey does your manager go take a hike at 4pm or what. Hope this clinic gets shut down sooner or later and these ladies are fired ASAP. Also this doesn't even deserve 1 star but there was no 0 star option bahahah read more

New Horizons Women's Care is an incredible practice, and it's new Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Center featuring SimonMed Imaging is outstanding. Last year, I saw Dr. Karen Ragaini on the advice of my primary care physician. I was extremely pleased with the office staff and with Dr. Ragaini. Everyone was efficient and friendly. It was easy to get an appointment right away and Dr. Ragaini was on time. A very pleasant experience at a very scary time! I probably won't have to see Dr. Ragaini again, but will be glad to do so if the need arises. Still, the office has kept in touch with me - ongoing proof of the practice's commitment to patients - and recently let me know about the New Horizons Women's Care Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Center featuring SimonMed Imaging. So, I asked them if my primary care physician could write orders for the Center to do my annual mammogram. Another wonderful experience! The office staff coordinated with my primary care physician, sent for all my old mammogram results, and set up my appointment. I didn't have to lift a finger! The Center was ready for me on time and I was very pleased to be given a cotton gown and allowed to change right there in the x-ray room. No changing in a bathroom, storing my clothes in a locker, and then waiting around in a paper gown with other patients in paper gowns. I was in and out in a flash and felt like a person, not like a pair of disembodied breasts. I saw Dr Ragaini when I found out I had a tubal pregnancy and she did my surgery. I was recommended by Chandler Hospital. I explained to Dr Ragaini that I was seeing an infertility Dr prior to my tubal pregnancy trying to get pregnant. She mentioned if I ever decide to get pregnant again to go see her and she would help, which I did. She than prescribed me medication for 3 months. I went in 2 weeks ago to get testing done to see if the medication is working, since nothing happened my first month. No one has called me with results. When I called the first time they told me they tried to upload results to my patient portal. which I don't have and I have explained that to them multiple times. She gave me results that had nothing to do with what I was seen for. They said will look into it and call me back, I never got a call. I again called 3 days ago to get a F/U which nurse said (Keep in mind all wait times to even talk to someone is over 10min) she again said they tried uploading results to portal. I again explained I don't have portal. She gave me same results first nurse did that had nothing to do with what I went in for. They state DR notated file wrong and was not told I was going in to see if medication was working. The nurse also told me she wasn't sure why I was going to their office for infertility if they do not specialize in that. I told her Dr Ragani stated she would help me. I asked to speak to DR, the nurse said will notate my chart but no guarantee she would call me. I still have not received a call!! I am beyond frustrated and I'm not happy with the service I have received at this location. I feel mislead. read more
