This place is actually very discriminatory. I stopped by to look at materials for my bathroom renovation; my contractor had actually recommended this place. When I walked in there were four people that absolutely ignored my presence and did not even acknowledge that I was there. The only being that actually greeted me was a dog wearing a little vest. As soon as I left because no one was speaking to me two elderly women walked in and they were instantly helped. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We selected stone from East and West marble. On day of cabinet installation, I called East and West to get exact thickness. Over the phone the representative told me the wrong thickness, which the cabinets were then installed at. To remedy this we will need to uninstall and reinstall the upper cabinets. I called East and West to help with the additional cost we incurred, but they were unwilling to help. Even though they admitted to telling me the wrong thickness, they won't take responsibility for the error and left me holding the bag. I would not recommend East and West as they do not own up to their mistakes. read more

Mercedes Robinson, the store manager was absolutely amazing to work with. She saw the list we made from the website, a website she manages, and showed us around the warehouse. She was extremely knowledgeable, had great opinions about coloring with the sample tile and cabinet colors, and gave detailed information about each type of slab. We had a great experience with East West! We'd been to 2 other stone warehouses, and this one was so welcoming and well organized. We'd already narrowed down our choices and we were looking for the perfect 2 slabs of Taj Mahal quartzite for our kitchen counters. They had quite a few lots of Taj Mahal for us to look at. And since we were selecting the exact slabs (not just browsing anymore) they moved a few slabs so we could see them better. Mayra was very helpful, friendly and full of great design advice. She tagged the slabs with our names and we were ecstatic that we found the right slabs for us (and that my husband and I had agreed!) I definitely recommend! read more

Thanks to Nancy for making a very daunting task much easier. I had been to other granite warehouses (some more organized than this one), but I found the selection and the level of service she provided made the difference. The first time I visited I really wasn't sure what I wanted. She patiently walked me through quartz, marble, and granite explaining the benefits and drawbacks of each. I selected my favorite slab and went home to think about it. I awoke in the middle of the night afraid I had made the wrong choice. I called Nancy the next morning, and she answered my questions and then sent me additional pictures. Feeling a bit relieved, I still needed to return to see it again with a few additional choices to compare. Nancy patiently showed me the new choices (how she knew where everything was located amazed me) and then we returned to my first choice. Never did I feel rushed. She was so very patient. Feeling more secure, I returned home to sleep on it. My third visit was to select the actual slabs for my counters. When I arrived Nancy had already made the arrangements for them to be on display. She helped me look them over and pointed out ways in which they were different. Again, no pressure and no rush. Went to East West 2 weeks ago and it was a bit overwhelming as they have some much to choose from. I worked with Mercedes and she helped me narrow it down to 3 and then eventually to 1 which I Love. The selection at East West is great. They also do not require you to use them for fabrication if you purchase slabs from them. The negative is the viewing process. I get that these slabs are huge and weigh a ton but we have sent humans into space. There's no better way they can arrange the slabs for customers to view more easily? You need to set an appointment and then they aren't too friendly about moving the slabs because they worry about the slabs breaking which I understand but improve the process. Why not take inventory photos of the slabs as they arrive in so a customer can look at photos of the slabs? You see one slab on the end but then there a 5+ pieces behind each end piece that you cannot see and desperately want to. When you need a few slabs for a project you are spending a healthy amount and will be looking at the counters for years so trust me you want to see all available in a specific lot before making a choice. Really felt as though I was annoying them for asking and depending on the day our sales associate ranged from pleasant to dismissive. Ended up buying slabs from East West as they do have the best selection in the area BUT if they improved their viewing process I think their sales would be even better. read more

We visited three different stone warehouses in Chantilly in one day, and this one was by far the worst experience. Let's just start by saying...with the lack of personal service and the snooty attitude (erm....you do know you are selling stone, not diamonds, right?)....the stone was not the only cold, hard surface in the store! A few positives. They do have a large collection. Erm....another positive. Ah....er....well....the stone is pretty. The negatives. I felt as though I was walking through a maze. It did not seem terribly organized even though the bitchy girl who walked us in to the warehouse portion told us about all of "her" rooms. Honestly, a diagram would have been nice, because when you're walking around in the warehouses, well, it tends to be a tad aimless. Then I was almost hit by one of those massive granite cranes. Rule of thumb....I sue. Just saying. When we walked in to the main lobby, I don't think anyone even smiled at us, let alone acknowledged our existence. There was a man who clearly worked there, but he seemed too caught up with (his?) woman and child. And when we were eventually "greeted", the two woman at the desk were too busy checking out my foot gear to address our faces. Then, when the one woman looked, there was not even a hint of smile, just a "We'll be with you in a bit." Which really came off more as, "What do you want?" Eventually we were told to fill out a sheet on the table and to take a clipboard. Then she was annoyed to wait for us to do these things (note to East West staff...next time, instead of checking out my RL riding boots...lead with the whole clipboard thing....it'll save time later, I promise.) The woman who eventually took us in to the back warehouse basically only talked to my husband, and when I spoke (which I do a lot), she would audibly sigh or short cough before speaking. As the one actually paying for these remodels....that just seems foolish to me. Furthermore, this woman never even looked us in the eyes. Now I know some people have social learning issues and I hate to be judgey in the event that this woman is on the autism spectrum, but really lady...stop imitating the lifeless stone! Show some warmth. You might have gotten my sale, and my 5 stars. We looked through the warehouse twice. When we finally found a slab we liked, it was aligned with several other slabs marked "on hold". This one had no such marking. We really liked it, so went to ask Anna if it was available. Her: "I don't know. Are there any there?" Me: "So....maybe you have an inventory in that little computer there where you can, oh I don't know, look it up?" Her: "Well, I know we have some, I just don't know if the one you say is available." Me: "Well, like I said just a moment ago, we were not entirely certain if that particular slab was on hold EITHER. Perhaps there is a way for someone who works here to find out." Her: "You will have to go look for a sign." Me: "Errrm...Like...from God?" One thing that irked me. During this random conversation, she identified the type of stone as marble. However, it is serpentinite. It irks me when snooty people do not even have the decency to be accurate. Like I always say, "if you're going to be dumb....at least be nice. Only smart people can get away with being bitchy." So we headed back in to the innards of the warehouse to get all of the data we needed to hold the stone, since no one clearly was going to assist us. Then I said to my husband, "You know, they had this same stone at the first place. And they knew it was a metamorphic stone. Oh, and the first place was a hell of a lot more personable. Let's get it there." So, we left, and we bought the slab (and another...just on a whim) from the much nicer AND smarter first place. I laugh now, because after this kitchen remodel where we needed (well, wanted) two slabs, we'll be buying stone to redo our family room fireplace (16 ft tall), our library, our guest bathrooms, the lower floor powder room, and our library. That's a lot of stone. And I know where I'm NOT buying it. I gave them two stars because they really do have a lot of pretty stone. read more

This is the second time I've been to this warehouse so I knew to wear VERY comfortable shoes, bring my phone/camera and some music. I even brought a large tile from my floor to have an idea of how the counter top might look against it. This is not a shop in Tyson's Corner, this is a warehouse of stone, so be prepared to go to work and chill. They have a simple and straightforward sign in process...just write down your info and tell them who you're working with, i.e. your contractor/fabricator. Michael St. Onge was the customer rep who showed me a floor plan of the warehouse, explaining where the particular stone I was thinking of might be found. Let me tell you, they have a lot of stone! You could say their inventory is "rock" solid. Be prepared to be confused. I had a pretty strong idea of which color granite I wanted, but after seeing all the variations and different hues, I'm not so sure. Michael instructed me on how to take a photo of the slab information so he can put the stock on hold for delivery to/by my fabricator. My only complaint is I wish they had more samples so that you can take a piece to see how it might look against your wall paint, floors, etc. Also in my opinion, they're a bit casual on safety. As I was looking at their inventory, their warehouse guys were moving slabs and the fork lift was suddenly too close to where I was standing. If you're looking for granite, marble, quartzite, almost any natural stone, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

After 23 years of living with Corian kitchen countertops (still in great condition) we decided a change was in order. Our contractor sent us to East West Marble Company to look for a replacement. Wow! Huge warehouse full of so many choices. It was overwhelming, but Andrea guided us through all of the different types of stones, showed us where to look and then let us start wandering. We took photos, talked a lot and decided that we needed to go home and think about what we saw and what might provide us with the new look we were seeking. Andrea assured us that this was going to be a process and not an overnight decision. But, after a week and a half, we went back to the warehouse to look at all of the choices again and ultimately decided on "the one". Then we worked through our contractor to arrange for the final visit to the warehouse to select the exact slabs. Once again Andrea made this so easy, had the slabs set out for our review and we made the choice of the 2 slabs that would work for us. We are so happy with our new kitchen countertops! read more

Great selection, bad customer service. Our slabs were taken off hold without notice and sold. I was told the Sales Manager can sell whatever she wants to her customers, whenever. This 'special' customer that took the slabs put them on hold for 3 weeks where as i was told it was normally only allowed to be a 7 day hold... a little shady for sure. read more

Was shopping for kitchen & bathroom renovation materials near the area, and stopped by the store without knowing the hours of operation. I was rudely greeted as I walked in the door "Do you need something?" the associate (lady at the front desk) was nearly shouting and very aggressive, and told me that they were closed when I said that I wanted to browse for new counters. The company itself may be good, but I will never know. Thanks to the associate they just lost a customer. I just cannot imagine dealing with this associate throughout the whole process of my renovation. read more

Recently I came to East West after going to three other stone distributors at the suggestion of Lyndsey from my fabricator MR Stone. I had already chose or settled for slabs elsewhere, so I took her advice. On short notice she made an appt for me with Mercedes. Upon arrival, Mercedes was expecting me. She was very warm and inviting. She took the time to walk with me through the warehouse showing me different slabs, talking about the attributes of each and taking the cabinet sample I brought across each. She pointed out the colors in the slabs to help me make my decision. We came upon some Alaska White, and I loved it. She asked the warehouse gentleman to open the bundle while we took a break. I was able to view four slabs to chose from. No one had offered that elsewhere. Thank you so much Mercedes and East West for all your help with this huge decision. read more

I have never been in a place like this before, needless to say I was quite overwhelmed!! But then to hear a perky voice behind me asking if I needed help was exactly what i needed! I can't say enough about the design consultant, Mayra!! She is one smart cookie! She knows the inventory extremely well as well as the various materials. She is able to translate what you're looking for, how you'll be using it and provide the best options for you. She thinks outside the box and will offer other considerations you may not be thinking about. She moved through that building quickly and efficiently since she knows where everything is and does not waste your time. She is quick to understand what you're looking for and heads right to it! The word consultant fits her to a T as well as rockstar! Definitely call ahead and schedule time with her, your time will be well spent and she is a joy to work with. read more

I came here to buy granite for a kitchen remodel. I was referred by the fabricator that works with the contractor that I had chosen to do the remodel. This place is huge. They must have 200+ different types of stone. Granite, marble, quartzite, onyx, etc. If you can't find a countertop material you like here you won't find it anywhere. From basic ubatuba to super-exotic granite and marble. They have it all. Some of the slabs are gorgeous--fine art murals in a stone slab. Amazing. I can't vouch for their prices as I was working through my contractor and only got pricing from this place. They definitely do the volume so their pricing should be good. Customer service was excellent. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. I highly recommend them. read more

Nice selection of quartz but the customer service is atrocious. I was walked into the warehouse and left there. My salesperson needed to take care of "her dog". She never retuned. When I walked back out, my sales person was at her desk texting. There are plenty of stores who want business. I would suggest not wasting your time at East West Marble. read more

They have a nice selection, especially in the exotic category ($$$$) but many of their office staff act as though you are a bother. This is based on at least 6 visits. They appear to have a policy of not moving slabs for customers. I was looking for a very specific granite and my fabricator told me they were getting a new lot in. I called on a Friday, and asked if it would be available on Sat. "No" was the answer, I then arranged to see it Monday and it wasn't in a good place to assess the qualities. Very frustrating given my 45 min drive and time off work! Lastly, the warehouse is very dim. They will loan you a flashlight, but more lights, like Cosmos, MSI would be better. You should also know that no one will tell you just how much your stone will cost. They might tell you something is "several times the cost" of another material, but no where I shopped for granite will tell you that slab of Azul Bahia is going to cost $9k. This is true for all of the showrooms. read more

I was shopping for the granite for the kitchen renovation. The selection at that place looks OK but the customer service is really poor. I picked the slab but it was damaged. I asked if I can see another one since they had total of 8. The showed me another one that I didn't like and I asked can I see the other one since they have several of them. They rejected to show me another one. Once you paying lot of money for the granite you would like to have an option to pick whatever you like it...unfortunately not is that place. There are so many marble/granite places so I am sure you can find a better shop where the customer representative will cooperate with the customer request. I would not recommend that place. read more

So far had come here with my parents to look at granite slabs for our kitchen remodeling project. First of all, this is a WHOLESALER not a fabricator. The service was amazing- we were helped as soon as a staff person was available and she took her time with us and answered all our questions and concerns. Not to mention she was very informative and told us the process of holding slabs that we like. For anyone interested in knowing the difference in processes between a wholesaler and a fabricator: this particular wholesaler allows you to hold slabs for up to a week for NO CHARGE while in the meantime you find yourself a fabricator who does business with this company to purchase the slabs for you and do installation- you would then be paying the fabricator. That's not the best part though. They have a HUGE selection to choose from. I went to at least 3 different fabricators in the area and no one had selection like this and most likely they may be purchasing slabs from this wholesaler. It's so much smarter to go to the wholesaler because you have such a large variety to choose from because fabricators pick and choose what to sell or sell left overs from previous projects. I think this wholesaler distributes up and down the east coast because of how large it is. What's even betters is the lighting in their warehouse is conducive for customers to shop around. I can't tell you how many times I complained about not being able to see the colors of the granite that well because the lighting was terrible at all the fabricators we went to. I highly recommend coming here for your bathroom, bar, or kitchen projects. read more

I don't usually post on bad business practices. However, had a less than great experience. Would recommend choosing granite at one of the many other granite businesses. We selected the granite, put it on hold (personally) and they released it to another fabricator. Stating the hold was expired over a week - so apparently they say they called the fabricator who released the hold. You would think they would have called me since I told them twice - that was the granite I was selecting. Yes- I waited over a week when it finally came off hold. I wouldn't be so harsh- but it is just not good customer service. Especially when the tiles have been selected around the granite!! Yes- I have hundreds of dollars of tile that may have to go back. No one else has those slabs. I will die on my sword before I recommend East West Granite to anyone. read more

First, I would like to say that customer service was good. The designer I worked with was very helpful. It ends there. I picked out my slab and was very happy with my choice. I drove over to Mosaic tile to find a floor and backsplash to match. I called EW Marble from there and asked if she would send me a picture. She gladly consented and also sent a picture of the slab numbers. Well, it was with this 'evidence' that I was able to figure out that they had NO intention of selling me the slab I chose, rather, they sent a different one to the fabricator. I only discovered it because the fabricator sent a pic of the slab and I compared pics because it didn't look right. After several phone calls and emails, I was told that the picture I had originally received was just a standard picture they send out to all interested in that slab...yeah right. I was also told that I had actually picked a number 16 slab (numbers are in numeric order starting with first slab and then each one behind it) I had picked the number 10 slab and never saw a slab that far back in the pile. One other thing, as I was sitting at her desk, I was witness to a conversation she was having with an unhappy customer about not getting the right slab. When she got off the phone, she verified this was the subject matter and commented that "she should have had a photo of the slab" Really??? that didn't work for me. Needless to say, I will never deal with this dishonest company again. All they had to say was the top slabs are for display only and we'll gladly let you view the ones behind it if you are interested in this particular lot.... read more
