Chinese ladies run this business. They know how to "fix" me with the pressure points. All the knots and tension get loosened every time I go. I couldn't even lift my arms as my shoulders were so tight. If you're looking for a relaxing smooth massage, there maybe other places for that. If you are looking for a real massage... this is your place! I've had many massages at high end resorts around the world nothing compares to the expert knowledge and execution of these professional massage therapists. I have consistent back pain and other issues and they knew exactly how to treat and relieve the pain. The only way to relieve my pain is to apply strong pressure. At other spas when I ask for deep tissue or explain where my pain is they never seem to be able to address or resolve. This was a true deep tissue massage, hen they knew the tissue was severely knotted they used alternative methods (walking on stretching, and hot stone) to treat me. I have been visiting East Wing for awhile now. I have arthritis and so I go pretty often. When Linda recently left I thought it was going to be bad news for the place and for me because I've always been treated great here. Fei is now managing it and has done a fantastic job in taking over. Some of my regular therapists have left but as I get to know the new therapists they are fantastic. They are attentive to what and where you need help. They always ask how much pressure and work accordingly. I had a Groupon for an hour of deep massage that I got for my daughter as a gift. Her masseuse was very attentive to all the stiffness in her muscles. Plus, as a complement, she used hot stones to relieve her pain. That was so kind! My daughter absolutely loved this place and the deep therapeutic massage. At the time of her appointment, I had a terrible migraine, myself. I decided to ask if anyone is available to give me a neck/shoulder massage while I wait for my daughter. And sure enough, the masseuse, Fei, was available to give me 30 min massage. It was very targeted, at times, painful (in a good way) massage. I always look for a deep therapeutic massage, not the gentle kind of massage that relaxes you. No pain, no gain! She worked through tense muscles using acupressure method. I was absolutely amazed when 30 min after massage was done, my migraine had gone, without taking prescription drug! Thanks, Fei! Customer service is superb! Each staff member treated us as valued customers, even though, I scheduled my child with Groupon voucher. I just wish this place will have cheaper and more affordable massage packages. The Ladies at East Wing are very friendly, accommodating and very professional. First, No where else can you call and get a same day appointment and moreso a time you ask for. I thought I was always lucky, but after two years of being accommodated the same way, I was convinced it was Ms. Fey who worked her scheduling magic. Not very happy. The woman who massages me was on her phone the first 10 minute of starting. I was never asked what areas I needed to work on. My back and my neck are worse now then they were before. It was very cheap oil used die the massage. Pressure points were very off. And complained I didn't tip enough for a massage I did not even enjoy. With so many massage options in the area, it's hard to know which place to choose! I gave this place a shot for three reasons: 1) the prices weren't obscenely high, 2) I had a chiropractic appointment at Pure Chiro just three doors down (another 5-star place btw), and 3) I figured it'd be cool to be the first reviewer of this spot! I was impressed from the get-go with this place. They are very warm to newcomers. If I had one complaint, it would be their difficulty speaking English, but that is all I can think of. Seriously, the lady that gave me my one-hour deep-tissue massage probably weighed 80 lbs. but absolutely torqued the tension out of my back. She was very deliberate, and though I spent well over an hour in there, they charged me the agreed-upon rate. Another perk was that I didn't have to wait to have work done -- at Massage Envy, they sit there and have you fill out paperwork and try to sell you a monthly membership. They hassle you -- I didn't sign anything with these people. Said hello, and within 5 minutes was laying down in a comfy room with gorgeous musical notes from some asian version of Enya floating around the room. The room was very comfortable, large, and a good temperature. The bed was monstrous -- I wanted to sleep there. The ladies acted professional the whole time, and I never felt uncomfortable (but then again, I'm pretty comfortable 90% naked). I left there with every muscle worked over pretty well. She asked me if I had target areas preferred, and I said my upper back and shoulders. She did a great job causing me pain to get those knots out...but made sure I was comfortable with the level of pressure. The language barrier actually turned out to be a pro, because instead of "yeah, that works" you can just say "uh huh" and they pick it up. Made things more relaxing and less cumbersome throughout the time I was in there. They offer tons of other services (check out their website), ones I might explore later on. I was a bit hesitant to try this place out after my last massage. The last place I went to was also an Asian masseuse and also in Vienna. I decided I would take the risk because of the groupon deal and the good reviews I read here. If yelp had a 3.5 star option, it's what I would rate as my true experience and here's why. Like my last massage, this is also a place where the masseuse pulls down your underwear and leaves your booty exposed. These ladies have seen more of my rear than I have or any man ever has! It makes me really uncomfortable. Fortunately, this place eventually pulled my undies back up and then covered me with the sheet again. I think I had Angela. I need to double check the card she gave me that's good for 5 massages for $50 in the next 2 months. She did a really great massage, and I liked the atmosphere so much better than the last place I tried. If they worked out the exposed booty kink, and gave water in a water bottle (after the massage) instead of in a small Dixie cup, I'd bump my rating to 5 stars. I'll be back... This is the best place I've been too by far, and as a bonus it's also the most reasonably priced. I have regularly had upper body pain for the past few years, and nobody else does such a god job of relieving it. I've been several times, and every therapist has done an excellent job. That said, last time I went, Jessica gave me the best and most intense deep-tissue massage I've had so far. I didn't just feel better, the pain disappeared completely. Also, while checking out their website we found they were offering a full body, deep tissue massage for $60/hr. My kind of price. The spa is in a pretty non-descript building, which also houses a dance studio. We entered the spa, and were greeted by a very friendly staff. We filled out a paper explaining which areas needed extra attention, and were whisked away into our respective rooms. The room I was in was simple and cozy, with just the right amount of ambience. Long story short it was the best massage I've ever had. Ever. I have lower back issues, and my masseuse spent a lot of time fixing it. Had my first visit yesterday after buying a Groupon and was absolutely impressed! I've never had FULL deep tissue massage (aside from the quick ones my Chiro did). A person who's gotten them before told me "massages are an investment, all the abuse/injuries we put on our bodies, the least we can do is let them relax for a bit." I'm glad I listened. I arrived 35 minutes early from my appointment as it was halfway from work and home. After one page of personal info, I was laying down butt naked on a fairly comfy bed. Like I said, I've never gotten one of these before so please bare with me as I confess my embarrassments of the day. At first I was laying there in with my last piece of clothing (you do the math) but Angela said it would be best to remove it. I was then covered and the massage began. Angela slowly began accessing all the knots I had which felt like potholes on a smooth road and I quickly began to twitch. My body was soo tight they recommended I return to work them out asap. Long story short, Angela did an amazing job but there was a bit of a language barrier. It wasn't that bad I mean c'mon, you're not supposed to hold a conversation during a moment of relaxation. An hour later, after working my ENTIRE body the massage was done. My next embarrassment came as I was walking out. I didn't know, or should I say "no one told me" you're supposed to tip a masseuse so Angela gave me THAT look and it registered "this is like getting a hair cut." So I left a generous tip. The minute I stepped into this spa, I was a fan. A large reception area with cold water and a friendly staff were waiting for my arrival. I was lead to a large massage room and asked to undress and lay facing down. I was then treated to the most intense deep tissue massage I have ever experienced! It was sooooo wonderful and the therapist focused on all the areas I asked for and it was ultimately one of the most incredible massages I've ever had! I took off one star only because of the difficulty in communicating with the therapist, who spoke very little English but was kind and by using a translator, understood every one of my needs. It was also a little unnerving to look up and find out that another person was in the room.... spooky because she was sooooo quiet!! Not altogether unwelcome, but a little startling! All in all, this is a great place for a wonderfully therapeutic massage. Their concern for my comfort was impressive and even though I pulled my car into the same area where I had a recent and profoundly difficult and horrific experience, I was still able to relax and enjoy the benefits of a great massage. Can we say PTSD Waterfalls Wellness?? Note - the place is easily recognized from the street, but go around to the back of the building to access the front entrance. I had some pain in my neck, shoulder and lower back and asked for a strong deep tissue massage - my therapist was Angela and she was perfect!! She expertly worked on my problem spots and loosened up the tightness in my back. My husband had just completed a 10k and wanted a full body massage - he is tall & athletic so some therapists will just assume that he wants a strong massage, but he actually prefers medium pressure.
