Rep at visa useless. Says need to call credit union. Teller let me know numbers on file and updated correct one. Waited a couple weeks thought I would be all set. Still can't access my account. Called your customer service at bank. Spend 20 minutes during my lunch hour on phone with rep. Only to here can't reach billing will have to call back. Also miss how you would get a deposit in your account at end of year when using the Quincy Credit Union credit card. But that stopped once you moved them to visa. Used to love this bank . Always helpful . No longer with credit cards being moved .

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I started years ago with Hanscom with a HELOC which I used to manage fluctuations in business…read moremerchandise inventory. I could get a better rate that way compared to a commercial loan. Later when interest rates started rising, I converted what I owed to a conventional 15 yr fixed rate home mortgage. There are a lot of hoops to jump through that are silly. For example, they forced me open a checking account that I didn't want or need as a condition of doing the loan. So for about 10 yrs now I've had a checking account with a balance of $1 the entire time, not a single transaction in 10 yrs, and they keep sending new debit cards which I immediately shred when they arrive. Likewise they required me to also open a savings account with a $25 min balance that I didn't want or need, so I've had an inactive savings account just sitting there with the $25 min balance. I wanted to set the loan payment up on autopay from an external bank account, and the first several years they didn't offer the functionality for that - they said if I wanted to do autopay, payment would have to come from the my Hanscom checking or savings account (which I never wanted). I refused to be strong armed by Hanscom into switching to their checking & savings accounts. In fairness, after several yrs, they did eventually change to allow me to set up autopay from an account at an external account. Now I keep getting unsolicited and unwanted USPS mail from Hanscom wanting me to sign up for some type of insurance they are offering. It comes in an envelope stating "we must hear from you within 14 days" to make it seem like it's an urgent banking issue to get you to open their junk mail. There is no "14 day deadline" because I've been getting the same junk mail stating that deadline for months. There is no option to opt out of their junk mail. How many trees do they need to kill and landfills do they need to fill up before they realize that if I haven't responded to the first 20 letters, I'm not likely to respond to future unwanted upsell attempts? All they done is drive me away from ever doing any new business of any kind with them in the future.

I don't get charged the crazy fees like sssb. Someone must have gotten my card number and booked a room at the Tropicana Inn, I hadn't noticed the charge yet but the cfcu was all over it. They froze my card, reversed the transaction and issued me a new card all before breakfast. I've never had such great customer service and felt so protected by a bank. Great place!
