I specifically saw out this restaurant because I wanted to try their chicken yat gaw mein, I haven't had it in decades. I found out there was a spot near me.. I had to get some. Well, I was disappointed there was not much chicken in it. However, the flavor was good. The noodles were perfect, but I was disappointed in the fact that there was only sparse chicken bits and no vegetables. Their shrimp toast and egg roll were great. I'm gonna give them a second chance because I did order on a Sunday at noon, it didn't look like they were really up and "running hot". Most amazing . I spent almost 70 bucks for Asian Court in the so-called upscale neighborhood of Owings Mills . Eastern Carryout was amazing the food was hot flavorful delicious and all of the edited add-ons requested ingredients were appropriately integrated into the dish . Haven't tasted this great of a Chinese restaurant since New York . You must try you must go . Price is inexpensive compared to the aforementioned restaurant. We ordered from this restaurant because of the great reviews. We ordered the general TSO chicken combo, pork wontons, pork lo mein, and hot and sour soup. Bal the food was above average. The hot and sour soup was definitely sour. Over this place gets three stars. The food was above average but not stellar, the woman on the phone told me fifteen minutes and it took much longer for our order which allowed me to stand in the restaurant longer. When you walk in there are boxes of oil, kids toys for sale, and some other miscellaneous things for sale. To be honest the whole place needs a make over, because if I hadn't already ordered food and walked into this place I would have walked back out because of how it looks. read more

I stopped by just to get something simple and hopefully lite and easy on my stomach. I selected the minced chicken and corn soup . First of all there was no noticeable chicken in it, it tasted sweet and it appeared it was recycled wonton soup as I saw chunks of wonton dough floating around the broth I've had other dishes from them that to be honest have been satisfactory but still nothing that would make me go rushing to get food from them. read more

Food is good and prices are comparable! However, one employee lacks personality. Another thing I observed that sone customers were not wearing masks and a gentleman was sitting down and coughing several times without a mask and didn't attempt to cover his cough!! Eastern makes my favorite Hot and Sour soup the way I like it in the city. You've gotta have the mushrooms, bamboo shoots, etc. Some places miss these ingredients . I had to add soy sauce for a little more salt, the soup was a tad plain but they made it traditionally. And of course there is tofu, which for years I always thought was eggs...lol I was shocked when I found out I was eating tofu all these years. The food isn't bad either, alot of people like it. The fried chicken wings are decent and crunchy... I enjoy eating my vegetable steamed dumplings, but Eastern has what I'm guessing were clear rice noodles or something. But it was mushy and it just wasn't the kind of dumpling filling I am used to at other establishments. I'll pass on the dumplings, but the entrees are good. Decided to try Eastern Carryout as a new place to order Chinese food. Ordered 2 servings of Shrimp Toast and a large order of House Fried Rice. The fried rice was pretty good. Tasty and nice amount of meat and rice. The shrimp toast was another story. While it did come with 5 nice pieces per order the taste and texture were horrible. I'm sure the recipe called for grinding the shrimp, but I'm sure it did not call for grinding the shrimp with the shells on. Each member of my family tried a different piece of the toast and all had pieces of shell in the filling. All 10 pieces of the toast went in the trash. Never had shrimp toast at any restaurant that were "crunchy". I must say this was a first visit and also must say it's the last visit. read more

I decided to try this place based on my hotel recommendation. As I watched them prepare food I noticed they had sandals on, no hats or hair nets, and no gloves. I was concerned but was still going to be open minded about the food. I had only ordered egg rolls and wings. The egg rolls seems to have hard plastic inside them.. it was not plastic but the wrapper of the egg roll due to being old. The wings were slimy and sweet not spicy, I only ate 2 and threw the rest away. I would not recomend this place at all. Maybe the health department will see this post and do something about it? read more

I have been craving Chinese food recently and was driving down reisterstown road in my work truck. Suddenly some Chinese symbols caught my eye so I slammed on my breaks, crossed two lanes cutting people off and almost killed someone. Walking in I didn't have huge expectations because it's a small carry out with a cracked window that has been taped and old dusty Chinese decorations. A young man came out and helped me with ideas. I ended up just getting chicken fried rice and let me tell you....AMAZING. You would think that something this simple is hard to mess up but wrong! Many places use nasty yellow rice that imitates fried rice. Easterns fries their own rice and the chicken and veggies were fresh and tasty. My order took 2 minutes and I washed it down with a cold coke. I'll be back easterns, I'll be back. read more

Food was good... Nothing spectacular. I was kinda bummed because other places I've been they put sauces into the carry out bags and I didn't get any sauces. I assumed they were in the bag so I didn't grab any myself... But you have easy access to sauces. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The business is family owned, and to me, they are just the kindest people ever. Bless their hearts for working so hard. Anyways, I enjoy eating their food here and will continue. It's pretty convenient for me since I live close by, but they also deliver when I'm too lazy to drive. Their fried chicken wings with rice is really good, I love it. Wings are crispy with flavor. I'm also liking the Singapore noodles as well, lots of flavor and a bit spicy! I haven't tried all of the things on their menu yet, but I'm slowly getting there. Haha. read more
