Some of my favorite dishes I have had here are: wanton soup, egg drop soup, shrimp egg rolls, shrimp toast, house friend rice (which my father says taste just like the fried rice he grew up with in New York City) shrimp, and lobster sauce. The one downside is because their food is so delicious and the portions are so huge. She's always busy. Good enough I will go back. It's strictly carry out. I Ordered: Sesame chicken - solid. Large pieces of white meat. The sauce was nice. Dark with a little spicy kick, not just sweet like many sesame chicken dishes. Beef & Broccoli - fine. Meat not the best not the worst. Had some ginger flavor but overall sauce felt lacking. Portions were big. The box was overflowing Spring rolls - strange. The most "airy" under-filled spring roll I ever had. Very little filling. The woman behind the counter was great. Radiated good energy with an infectious smile. Overall good, but I need to go back to see if it can be better. I was a little hungry after having some nail services done nearby. I happened to notice this spot as I was leaving the parking lot. I decided to give it a try. Once I entered I wasn't sure how I wanted to feel about this spot. It wasn't well lit. There was a fan up on a table that was not on at the time. It was very humid inside and the place is small. It was because of the front counter ladies pleasant attitude, I decided to still give it a try. I placed an order for the lunch general two shrimp . While waiting the folks entering seemed to be flowing pretty well. I decided to add two shrimp egg rolls to my order. My order took a little longer than I thought it would to prepare. I had a few stops to make before I arrived home but, my food was still hot. I was not impressed with the shrimp egg rolls. Way too much cabbage and not enough shrimp. Now my general two shrimp with the fried rice and broccoli was delicious. Next time I will ask for the rice to be cooked in a little extra soy sauce. We have gotten carry out from China Moon for years. Ms Mae always had the BEST in the area, but tonight was disappointing. We are wondering if the restaurant changed hands. Ms Mae was not there. Delicious and huge portions! We ordered the general tsos and pork fried rice, along with vegetable rolls. We were so surprised on how they could offer such great food, at a decent price AND large portions. I would recommend ordering ahead as it seems this is NOT a hidden gem and they stay very busy. We ordered on a wednesday night and did not expect to hear that our food would be ready in 45 minutes. Typically, Chinese joints give you the usual "15 to 20 minutes" turnaround time. This is certainly not the case for this spot. However, if you're willing to wait the 45 minutes or so, you will be rewarded with fresh, delicious Chinese-American classics. The inside is small, and is really only a carry out spot. Good amount of parking, and easy to find as people are in and out. Although I did not personally go inside, my husband said the woman at the front has a fun personality and knew a lot of the customers that came in on a first name basis. Best Chinese-American takeout I've ever had. Even sometimes as simple as pork-fried rice, an afterthought in most places, is rich and delicious and dark. I would advise, however, ordering for a time well before you need it. Business here is always booming during peak hours and they do fall behind. It was cooked with FRESH vegetables. The broccoli was ginormous and crunchy. It also had carrots, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. There were slices of chicken, beef, and best of all, large shrimp. They are closed on Sunday. We started off with a quart of Wonton Soup - it loaded with wontons and pork. The two shrimp and pork egg rolls that we ordered were so crispy and fresh. For our entrees, we had Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Sesame Chicken. We had our choice of steamed rice or fried rice. We decided on the fried rice. Our total bill was $19.10. Everything was delicious. I love China Moon. I always buy two quarts of her chicken and rice soup, in the winter, to freeze in case I get the sniffles.
