I admit that I am probably missing a few taste buds so am not a gourmet, and maybe miss some nuances, but here I didn't taste anything. It was Moo Goo Gai Pan, and there was evidence of a clear sauce - but I couldn't taste any flavor so presumably just starch and water. The vegetables were also pedestrian. read more

I ordered from UE late on a Thursday night because they lured me in with a promo. After 40 some minutes, UE canceled my order. I called Eastern Carryout immediately and the lady said they had my order and offered to bring it if I just paid by phone. She said the order had been ready for a long time and UE canceled because no driver was available and now they were closed. A short time later, she was at my door delivering the food personally, at the end of what I'm sure was a long work day in her restaurant. Whole fried wings live happily in my heart. Customer service directly from the restaurant is way better than what you get from UE or anything like that. read more

I try to give local restaurants a chance but the menu is not accurate. I ordered Chicken pad thai and received something close to a Chicken Chow Fun in its place. There was no noticeable peanuts, peanut sauce, fish sauce or any fresh elements in the dish. The menu stated spicy and there was barely a hint of spice. The two different lo meins were decent. The General Tso's Chicken was decent but the beef with orange flavor looked identical. Which brings me to the containers. This is our go to Chinese carry out. It's reasonably priced and very quick. The food is good, pretty much your standard Chinese/American quality. I like the beef and broccoli my wife likes to get the sweet and sour chicken. I would stay away from the Tai dishes and stick to the Chinese ones. Also the homeade sweet tea is awesome. read more

Our carry out order consisted of soup, which was not closed properly. As a result, the soup spilled out onto the rest of the food and into the bag. The food was ruined. The owner of Eastern on Mountain Rd in Glen Burnie refused to replace the order and threatened to tell all surrounding Chinese Restaurants not to serve us. Just ordered food from here. The food I did receive was actually good. But, they did not have my spring rolls in the bag. I called after I had noticed there was no spring rolls, which was two minutes after the delivery guy left. I called and they kept saying they were in there, but they were not. I would not be wasting my time calling about spring rolls if they were in there. The lady hung up on me. So then my boyfriend called and a man argued with him continuously that the spring rolls were in the bag. THEY WERE NOT IN THE BAG. The man then hung up. So disappointed, because the food is not bad. I was up in Maryland visiting the fam and we decided to eat Chinese. We ordered food for 6 people. The delivery was done online and took about 40 minutes to arrive (as they told us). The Golden Key located in Reisterstown,MD I believed is now closed after thirty some years in business is what I use as a guide to Chinese carryouts. It may sound crazy but I would drive there about fifty miles round trip to bring home the best Chinese food ever. I'm searching for the same quality but have yet to find a carry out that comes close to the Golden Key. We tried the Eastern Carryout and were disappointed, the shrimp toast was over cooked almost burned. The shrimp in the lobster sauce contained some shrimp and imitations crab meat pieces I guess for visual effects. I would not go back, nor recommend to anyone. read more

Luv Eastern Carryout! Nice friendly family ran eatery. From authentic Chinese to "American dishes" including homemade desserts.....can't go wrong here! I Like that they remember me and My fav "special orders." They pay attention and seem to care that I like shrimp added to my beef and broccoli with Less broccoli or extra pork in to my vegetable fried rice( more veggies when ordering this way.) Place was clean and smelled good. Prices aren't too bad, and good portion of food per order. Me and my gf spilt the general tso's chicken came with small white rice.
