Well, last time the delivery took over an hour. I don't mind the wait but the food was warm and mushy. They argued that wasn't so. I'd been going for 6 years with no complaints so I let it go. This is a take out Chinese restaurant, but they also have an amazing Thai menu. There is really nothing you can order that won't be delicious. Off the Thai lunch menu, I love the Panang Curry with Chicken. For dinner, the Pad See Yu with beef is amazing. So is the Pineapple Coconut Fried Rice. The food here is amazing. read more

This place is great for getting good takeout Chinese food. The General Tso's is delicious. Egg Foo Young is tasty. The Chow Fun fried rice is the best fried rice around. Their Thai menu is hit or miss. Love the curries. And the beef with spinach and mushrooms is good. Was super disappointed with their version of Tom Kai Gai soup. I've ordered this soup almost everywhere (east coast, west coast, Midwest, Hawaii even) and it's always been a mild, coconut milk based soup with chicken and the yummy taste of lemongrass. I really love this place. Everything is fresh and is prepared quickly. The Chinese food has a lot of healthy options, so it is good for a quick bite if you didn't bring food to the office. And I love that they have Thai food, since my favorite Thai place is 45 minutes away and this is pretty decent. However, I am leaving out a star because I had an awful lunch experience here today. Not the food, but two front counter employees (at least one is a delivery man, thank God he finally left) were having an argument the entire time my boyfriend and I were trying to eat. I have never felt so anxious in a restaurant before - a terrible dining experience! Fire these two men... It is pretty unbelievable to act that way in front of customers and to disrespect their employer like that. Also, their conversation was idiotic and lacking any intelligence, complaining about people with no work ethic. Meanwhile, I had to clean off the table I was going to sit at because they were too busy arguing about absolutely NOTHING to do it. AND these were grown men, not kids! A word of advice - hire someone classy with a bit of work ethic to work at your counter, deliver, clean tables, etc. or maybe someone with an ounce of intelligence to read a book and not argue about social class politics while paying customers are trying to eat. read more

Excellent Chinese food. One of the few good ones in the area. Very fast on time delivery. Always the time they say.

The food is good here for typical chinese takeout.....Very clean tasting and it's very clean inside the place itself. I enjoy all of there food. The only negative I would have to say is that there thai cuisine needs a bit of work. I have eaten at many thai restaurants and there pad thai as well as other well loves thai dishes aren't up to par. Other than that I would recommend eastern empire to anyone who just wants to order out some typical americanized chinese food. read more

Pretty damn good Thai food. Tom Kai Gai is some great soup. Spicy but delicious. Pad Thai and Chicken and Chinese Broccoli are great. Also Thai options. I do my laundry in the plaza and often eat there, the food has been good but tonight it was terrible. The egg roll was uneatable and the general tso was greasy like the oil needed changing. I don't know about most people but i need consistency and it wouldn't hurt to be a bit friendlier for someone who eats there often. I feel i wasted 11 dollars which i work hard for. I know if i complained it would have been for nothing so i leave this review. Take out if you go there the food will probably be good in most cases. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are very disrespectful to their paying customers. Our delivery arrived missing food items. We called to tell them. They didn't offer to fix it, but instead said they would "refund out credit card." Lazy, but whatever, not a huge deal. Then I tried my food and it was really bad. I normally wouldn't even bother to call, but since they already messed up the order once, screw it, I called. This was two mistakes. And it was truly not edible. The guy on the phone said "that's how we make it." And hung up on me while I was talking. My mom orders from here ALL the time. She's a great customer. Can't believe how they would treat their clientele. It was a 10 dollar dish. It would cost them about a dollar to remake it. Customer service...learn it. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. It's the worst Chinese I've ever had. I ordered the chicken and mixed vegetables lunch special. The chicken was slimy, mushy and didn't even resemble anything like chicken. I've had better quality chicken at fast food restaurants! The soup had no flavor nor did anything else I got. I ordered from here abt 6 months ago and back then they delivered. The food was fresh and everything was great except the chicken in the chicken lo mein. I even called right after trying to swallow the slimy slivers of chic and couldn't do it. I threw it away. and asked what it was because it was all dark and coated with something that looked all shiny & slimy. They said they SUPPOSEDLY MARINATE it IN A SEASONING. Well the chic tasted like it was slimy slugs it was awful but at least I know what NOT TO ORDER. Anyway was calling tonight to place an order and after what seemed like a hour placing the order I was told they don't deliver to Bradley Beach??? WTF AND IM THE FIRST STREET AFTER OCEAN GROVE OFF MAIN STREET. Exactly 4.2 miles. But that's ok the other Chinese restaurant was very happy to deliver in B B and they are 4.4 mikes away. However, I went to eat at the restaurant to try to avoid all of the packaging from takeout (all those plastic boxes that are meant to last you for the trip home and then sent to a landfill), and surprise, everything is served on disposable (styrofoam and plastic) dishware/cutlery. Tried for first time. Food is bad. Ordered Fried Rice and Tung Po Chicken. Chicken dish smelt really bad. I really don't know what stuff was it. I generally go to Far East.
