The technician was rude and dismissive. He reattached the cable but left the switch dangling from the wall. When I pointed out that this was likely the reason it keeps coming loose, he snapped back with, "You literally called me out here for a missing screw." No--if he had secured it properly the first time, I wouldn't have needed a second visit. Any competent technician would've fixed this without being told. Bottom line: they overcharge, don't stand by their work, and treat customers with disrespect. Avoid this company.

This relates to what comes across as current communication issues. And if I come to Yelp and highlight the good, it is only fair to also highlight when an experience with a company... is not good. I do not have a problem with a business being busy. That is a good problem for a business to have. My issue comes, when instead of saying you are busy, the business continually makes appts or followups they do not keep. At that point you do something I have a problem with, you waste the one thing none of us can afford to waste, you waste time. In this case you waste my time and that, especially when you do it repeatedly, I find annoying and unprofessional. If you can't do a job, say that, I am happy to give business to others. And it is preferable to over-promising and under-delivering. Will not belabor the point, that is my most recent experience. And hopefully this review saves you... time. Thanks.

I like to hire local contractors when something needs to be repaired/replaced at the house. When the spring on our garage door broke, an internet search for "residential garage door repair" was of almost no help. So many companies came up that clearly weren't local, no MHIC license #, strange "business" addresses or no business address at all... After unwinding all that, I found Eastern Overhead Door. They are truly local (main office in Bel Air) and MHIC licensed. I called at 6:00 am and one of the owners called me right back. By noon that same day, they had come to the house, replaced the spring and serviced the other door to keep it working properly... all for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend. read more

Great work, very professional, helpful, and easy to work with! We recently had one of our automated garage doors irreparably break and were looking for replacement options. As the doors were older, I was unsure if we could replace just the broken panel, or need to replace the whole door (and if it would match our second existing door). Charles and Kris were exceptionally helpful, coming out to take a look and offer a range of options and prices. I called on Saturday, 28, 2018 and the owner of the company immediately answer the phone instead of allowing it to go to the voice mail. He said that he would send someone right away, because I could not get my car out of the garage. The technician immediately came to our house and was very professional and extremely nice. Great all around, Brandon came out twice and both times he called when he said he would to say he was on his way and then showed up at the time he told me over the phone. He was very personable and didn't try to use a bunch of specialist jargon in order to convince you to pay twice the amount for a repair you don't need. He gave recommendations with no pressure and fixed what need to be fixed (circuit board in my case). I highly recommend!! read more
