Eastern Overhead Door had to clean up a mess caused by another garage door company (Carl's Overhead Door). Scheduling an estimate was a breeze. Charles came out the next day. He assessed the situation, explained what the job would entail and gave me a ballpark estimate. He was polite, knowledgeable and fair. He sent a written estimate shortly thereafter. I accepted the estimate and we scheduled the job. Kris came a few days later to replace the torsion assembly and weather stripping. He worked efficiently and effectively. He was kind, polite and good at his job. No one is happy when they suddenly have a $600 repair, but this company made it much more pleasant. These nice folks at eastern overhead door installed a new, complete garage door for a fraction of the price that was quoted by another larger installer. The whole process from the estimate to the installation could not have been easier for my wife and I. I live in a neighborhood with an HOA, so the garage needs to look the same as all of my neighbors. They found that my door isn't manufactured anymore without paying a ton, but they found almost the exact thing in a newer variant. It's almost indistinguishable. Top notch all around! My wife and I are fortunate enough to have a 2 car garage, but we had two standard doors that didn't allow much clearance with our SUVs. And since it's such a shallow garage, once you're in, there's no room to adjust how you're able to position the car. Total pain if you're ever trying to clean much less work on a car. We had a pipe dream to convert the two doors into a single garage door without the center beam. That's when Eastern Overhead stepped in absolutely nailed it! First, communication. Unlike other contractors we've dealt with, you're never left wondering where you stand throughout the whole process. From the moment you talk to Charles to the time it's all wrapped up, there's no guessing. And as for Charles, not sure you could find a better face to a family business. Super courteous and accommodating in every step. Once we agreed, (very, very fair price too!), Charles had a custom door on order and we were underway. Scott & Brandon arrived first and literally removed the two doors in the time it took for me to get a cup of coffee. Not HGTV "bash it out style" either. Like some sort of door ninjas or something. Then the framer arrived, (HUGE shout out to Bill and his team for their amazing work. I'm convinced they could frame out an entire house in a day with every intersection perfectly square!). Once the frames were in place, Scott and Brandon installed the beast of a door, programmed the remotes, and showed me a few things for keeping this in tip top shape for a long time. One thing to note: during the install, there was a slight dent on one of the panels about the size of a golf ball. I didn't notice it at all but they pointed it out and followed up with a new section. That's amazing! Overall, we couldn't be happier. There's so much nickeling-and-diming with certain projects. And I get some things come up. But nothing here. Heck, Bill even put up new siding and fixed an old broken light on the front of the garage. Really? I feel super fortunate we received a great price, got everything we wanted (and more!), and were able to work with a business that's personable in every aspect. I get our project might be a little more involved than others, but I'd never hesitate to recommend what feels like a true throwback company. Thank you guys for everything! read more

Their quote was $30 more and couldn't come out for a few days. Eastern had someone in the area and I had my keypad installed in less than an hour after I called. Called this morning, (after the massive snow storm the past 2 days). Our door able and springs were broken, preventing the door from opening.
