This lodge has everything for any skiers or snowboarders. It's five stories with different eateries and coffee shops overlooking the ski area. There's a school to learn skiing and equipment rentals if you forget to bring your own gear. There's also mountain sports to buy souvenirs and apparel.

So far I don't think I tried a pie that I didn't like. The menu rotates often so you'll always have a nice selection to choose from. They also offer lunch such as brisket and burgers. The management didn't seem to understand what we were explaining when we mentioned this to them. I am really glad that I know enough Spanish that I was able to communicate with some of their housekeeping staff. We asked them for wipes, but also for any kind of handheld vacuum cleaner that might've been small enough to put into that dresser drawer so that it could suck up all of the crumbs and dried up food that was left behind in that drawer. One of the housekeeping ladies came in and simply brought in a damp rag. The one who came in just before her, they said they didn't see anything in the drawer at all. Ummm, strange! Even with my bad eyesight, I could see the little bits and pieces of things that the rest of my family was talking about. One of the really cute and very pleasant things about this particular hotel is that they offer s'mores kits. Each person can go ahead and request a small s'mores kit. It comes complete with the chocolate marshmallows, graham crackers, and skewer that you need to assemble your ooey gooey treat. One of the nights that we were staying at the hotel, we only requested skewers. I am sure the lady at the front desk wondered why. That particular night, my kiddo and their father ended up cooking some little Smokies out on the fire instead of s'mores. That was fun. Throughout the day, you were welcome to go into their lobby area. That's where they have hot water for hot chocolate and tea as well as coffee. You're more than able to help yourself. I stopped in twice for whatever reason, the water, although it was in a hot water, dispenser, it was not hot. Bummer!! Parking was one of the easiest things here. There were plenty of handicap parking spots. Also, the entrance to the lobby or reception area is very close to those spots. They have a heated pool. It is open until 10 PM. It gets pretty chilly at night. This is a very nice centrally located property. Anna was the nice lady who checked us in. She was super helpful.

Yes, there's a security camera right by our door, but still unsafe. Anybody can just walk into the hallways. One weird thing was when I tried to call front desk, I realized that their phone wasn't even connected nor did it have any Ethernet wires around the cabinet. Seems like it was done on purpose so front desk people don't get bothered too much. The regular room only has two drawers, no closet. So if you're going to mammoth to snowboard or ski, you don't have much space to hang them or store them. Also, the room wasn't as clean. When we were cleaning up on our last day, we found someone's old sock, yuck. One good thing is that they are dog friendly. Upon checkin, they will charge around $30 per night as a "resort fee". This covers parking (even though anyone can park), steam/sauna room and pool access, and some goodies to borrow. This doesn't include breakfast. Also, to upgrade our room from regular to a kitchen one, front desk said it would be $150 per night. We decided to just stay with the regular one.

One of the windows don't open, it has no AC, but 8 different heaters while it stays perpetually at a brisk 80 degrees, a bed that feels like a stone, a cracked sink that leaks into the cabinet below and has obviously been doing it for years, a rug in the bathroom stained with god knows what, a door that is so fucking smashed that the jamb is completely gone, a broken light fixture, and broken shower handles. Ah yes, how could I forget? Bug infestation. Among good news however, you get a complementary hatchet for when you do lose your mind! And to their credit, the kitchen's clean mostly.

We arrived in Mammoth lakes close to 4pm, (which is when you're able to check in) I never received any info from booking.com on how to check in, so I reached out to the main office of Timber Ridge. They were closed due to Covid, but had a number to contact. After reaching them, they said our unit wouldn't be ready until 5. That was extremely frustrating, being we just drove about 6 hours! Once we were able to check in the unit we got #2 was nice, great view! Unfortunately the unit was not exactly ready in my opinion. There was wood missing from in between the bedrooms and the carpet. This is what I see as unfinished work. My wife and her sister both hit their feet upon entering their rooms. a couple days into our stay I noticed a slight funny smell, but thought it was coming from the outside. towards the end of our stay the smell got so bad in the upstairs bathroom I had to inspect because I knew it was something dead. Sure enough there was a dead mouse in a mouse trap under the bathroom sink. I don't know how long it was there, but I feel like it my have been there before we checked in. In the main bathroom the heating element and fan were on while someone was using the bathroom and it began to smell really bad. I thought something was definitely on fire! Smelled up the entire downstairs area and had some of us gagging! I notified maintenece and they disconnected the fan/heater the next day. The other thing I didn't like was the fact that the bar b q grill was deteriorated on the inside and the ignition button was also missing. There was a lighter there so we could ignite it, but come on. We spent almost $2,700 for 5 nights I'd expect more for my money! The communication with the manger or whoever was on the main number there wasn't what I'd expect from a nice place like this. I would probably stay here again but I'd opt for a different unit.

If your flight is delayed or arrives late you will be left without a pick-up as I was . There was no communication after that to resolve the issue . On my return to Los Angeles my flight was delayed, and the dispatch was unable to handle a change of pick up time. It's really only a 4 mile drive to the airport. Don't need to be there two hours early. I'm very disappointed in their service.

We stayed Sun-Wed and we enjoyed it. Van and his wife Dawn keep the home so clean and well kept, which was important to us. During our stay we walked to the Tiger Bar restaurant, coffee shop, general store and brewery in 3-4 minutes. Couldn't have asked for better hosts in one of our favorite cities to visit. We cannot wait to be back. Van and Dawn, looking forward to making our reservation for next summer.
