Last week, during our annual cousin road trip in Massachusetts, we decided to make a little detour to a farm I had seen on TikTok. I knew our kids would absolutely love it, so we decided to stop by on Friday. When we arrived, we found out that tickets were required, and unfortunately, they were sold out online. One of the wonderful ladies at the ice cream truck suggested that we speak with the owner to see if there happened to be a cancellation, especially since we had traveled all the way from New Jersey. We spoke with the owner, and he kindly told us that if someone canceled, he would let us take their spot. Honestly, I didn't have much hope because there were seven of us! We decided to stick around and get some ice cream while we waited and I'm so glad we did! Their ice cream was AMAZING. The Cookie Monster was honestly one of the best I've ever had. While we were there, the kids got to see a cow with her baby, ducks, goats, and several other animals. They played, explored, and were genuinely having such a great time. Eventually, the owner's wife came over and let us know that unfortunately, there hadn't been any cancellations. But then something happened that truly touched our hearts. She knew from her husband that we had come all the way from New Jersey and wouldn't be able to come back another time, so she allowed our kids to feed some of the cows anyway without doing the ride, but from the gate. That small gesture meant SO much to us. She took the time to tell us about the cows and the other animals, answer our questions, and make our kids feel so welcome. It's not every day that you come across a business that goes out of its way to be this kind and accommodating, and it genuinely warmed my heart. We had such a fun experience, and the kids are still talking about it! If you're ever in the area, PLEASE go check them out. And definitely try the ice cream, even if you can't get tickets to the farm experience. It's absolutely worth the stop! Thank you for making our unexpected detour such a special memory. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I had read about the cow safari and thought it would be a great birthday gift for a close friend who loves cows. Before booking, I called to ask some questions and specifically mentioned that I have a service animal. The woman I spoke with assured me it wasn't an issue but suggested I call closer to the date as a reminder so they could accommodate us. This was in June, and I booked the tour for September 20th. We looked forward to it for months. Last week, I called again, as instructed, and was once more assured it wouldn't be a problem. This person also suggested I call on the day of the tour because it was fully booked and they wanted to ensure we had enough space. I said I appreciated the courtesy and would follow up. On the day of our tour, I called the number on my ticket confirmation three times. No one answered. On my third attempt, at 12:21 p.m., I left a detailed voicemail explaining that I was following up as instructed, identifying our tour, party size, and my phone number. I never received a response. We arrived at 2:45 p.m. for our 3:30 p.m. tour. At check-in, two staff members politely advised me come ten minutes early so we could board the wagon first. Everything was great, and we went to get ice cream. Then, while we were waiting in line, a man approached us and informed me that my service animal was not permitted. I initially thought there had been a misunderstanding, and explained that I had specifically asked about my service animal before purchasing tickets, had followed up the previous week, and had been repeatedly assured it wasn't an issue. His response? I should have followed up closer to the date. I reminded him that I had attempted to do exactly that earlier that afternoon, but no one had answered my calls or returned my voicemail. He had the gall to ask whether I had emailed them as well, as though it were my responsibility to compensate for their failure to answer the phone or respond to messages. My friend, who has experience in conflict resolution, tried to explain that my frustration stemmed from having spoken with four staff members on three separate occasions, without a single person indicating that the service animal would be an issue until ten minutes before boarding. The man claimed this was a "new" policy because dogs and cows had reacted to one another in the past. Fair enough, but that doesn't excuse the fact that I had gone above and beyond to communicate and had been given assurances every step of the way, all the way up to check in. He then contradicted himself, claiming the policy had been in place for some time. When my friend pointed out that this suggested a significant training failure, he insisted staff were aware and said he would "remind" them. I accompanied him, against his wishes, and witnessed the so-called reminder, which appeared to be a first notice, not a reinforcement of an established policy. He put his staff in an uncomfortable position and took no responsibility for how the situation had been handled. At no point did he offer a refund, alternative accommodation, or even a sincere apology. The result? Three hours of driving roundtrip, half a tank of gas, wasted time and money, and the embarrassment of having this happen in front of my friend, for whom this trip was supposed to be a birthday gift. I realize this complaint may not resonate with everyone, since most people won't find themselves in this position, and I am not allowed enough characters to go into all the detail of what took place. However, I've seen other complaints on other platforms also referencing this man's arrogant and combative behavior, and based on my own experience, I would not want to patron a business where customers are treated this way. There are plenty of other farms to visit and wagon rides to take, that are much more deserving of the business. We may not have gone on safari, but we definitely got to see a snake. read more

Very fun afternoon in the sun! We took the Cow Safari and got to see/feed/pet probably 6 cows, including Ferdinand the 2000lb 7ft sweetie. The cows are clearly used to people, and had no concerns about us (even the young kids they were very gentle with). The wagon takes you into the pasture where you feed the cows pieces of bread for about a half hour. I wonder how much bread they go through? Staff seemed knowledgeable and happy, always a good sign. There are ducks, goats, and cows to see. Ice cream, dirty sodas, and hot dogs to eat. Only sad that the merchant closed at 5 so we didn't get to peruse. read more

I wasn't here for the raw milk, but rather for the cows and the $1 per scoop ice cream. On the way here, though, we passed an entrance to the Callahan State Park - I kind of wish we had the time to meander the trails there, but I guess that'll have to be another trip. Unpaved dirt roads, cow poop (hey, it is a working farm), so shod your feet accordingly. There was a bouncey house for the kiddies, and a couple of picnic tables. I eagerly entered the shop to find a blackboard full of handwritten ice cream options. Samples were generous, and at a dollar per creamy scoop, it was a steal! read more

The ice cream was good. However the girl working was horrible. She had a really bad attitude and that is a big pet peeve of mine. She made us feel unwelcome. If you are going to be miserable at work do everyone a favor and dont go to work or get a different job. We are in the service industry and always treat servers extremely well so we expect the same in return. read more

Raw milk in Metrowest!! After searching and searching online this is the closest farm to Boston that I have found selling raw milk; almost every other place was in western Mass. Upon this discovery I could not control myself from paying a visit today after a stressful and pretty terrible day at work. It is so refreshing to see a local farm with friendly people making a living for themselves; no corporate logos or employees thumbing their Blackberrys here! The milk is delicious and once you try raw milk (no pasteurization or homogenization) you will find it difficult to go back to 2%. They do sell pasteurized milk as well for those of you too scared to try it fresh from the cow! Prices are about double what you would pay in the grocery store ($5.50 for 1/2 gallon) but it's tasty and will feed your soul knowing that some local farmer is getting your money instead of some huge, faceless conglomerate. Also, the cherry vanilla icecream (they have loads of other flavours too) is outstanding (with huge chunks of candied cherries) and will only set you back $1 for a small cone. I think next time I will visit with the cows as I went right before closing today and didn't have time. Please get out there and support your local farms. They are a dying breed in this globalized world we live in. read more

How did I not review this place? It's like being in Western Mass 50 years ago, but you're in Framingham today. Mind bending that this place coexists in the same town as the mall mecca mania. Real farm. Real century old type buildings, with thick stone walls, dairy doors, crazy. You expect a milkmaid from a Flemish painting to stroll by. Really good ice cream. Raw milk if you're into that, and frankly, I think you should be allowed to, if you are. Beautiful spot. Go for a walk at Callahan, then come here and happily undo the health benefits. read more

My quest to find raw milk started about five years ago in New York City. Technically illegal, I had understood, although there was a secret "Raw Milk Club" which delivered its members a fresh supply from PA each week, speakeasy style. Of course, you had to be the kind of foodie who knew the Bobby Flays of NYC personally to get wired into it, which I didn't. I recently discovered that Eastleigh Farms offers raw milk by the gallon in nearby Framingham! Wooohooo. How do they get around the pasteurization laws? Oh, I have to sign a waiver that swears I won't sue them if I die. Not a problem. They even post their lab results on the web regularly, so that you know the milk you are getting is safe. What do I have to say about my first raw milk experience? Raw milk is delicious. The over-processed flash-pasteurized crap we're used to tastes just awful in comparison. At thirty-eight delicious percents of your daily allowance of saturated fat per glass, this is most definitely "sippin' milk," and might require a "milknap" after consumption. Good for both drinking and cooking, baking, cookie-dipping, coffee-lightening, and whatever else you kitchen mad scientists might use milk for. This milk monger, while small and simple, sells ice cream, made with their own raw milk. Just a dollar a scoop, and at least a dozen flavors. I shared a cup of black raspberry ice cream that easily rivaled Toscanini's in both flavor and creaminess. It was fantastic. Go sign that waiver. Support your local dairy farmer. Enjoy milk, the way it's supposed to taste, in all of its unprocessed glory. read more

This is the best ice cream I have ever had in my life! I discovered this place when I lived in Framingham.. I have now moved to Cambridge and still think it's worthwhile coming all the way to pick up a few tubs of their ice cream! I've tried at least half of the flavors on their menu and every one of them is excellent. Favorites are butter pecan, watermelon sorbet, kahlua fudge brownie. All their fruity flavors are extremely fresh and delicious. And everything is super cheap too- A "kiddie scoop" for $2, and trust me that is more than any kid I know could consume! Had a groupon for a farm tour and thought the little guy would enjoy. It was an interesting way to spend an hour. A little tractor ride around the property and fun info given. Sadly, the cows didn't feel like participating in the tour so little guy didn't get to pet a cow. It was too hot. Fun fact: If it is too hot out, the cows stop producing milk. The ice cream after the tour was delicious and there is a cute little playground outside. I don't think I would drive an hour to get there again, for for a one time thing, it was worth it. read more

We stopped in here on a Saturday after wine tasting at Nashoba. We went to the store and it was very charming in a country-ish sort of way, with a really nice wood burning stove in the center. Their many soft cheese samples were amazing and I particularly loved their garlic herb tomato cheese. Unfortunately, there appeared to only be a few flavors of the cheese samples actually available. I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that they had a lot of cheese samples out that weren't actually available for purchase. My husband tried some of their chocolate M&M ice cream and from what I tasted, it was awesome. We also brought a gallon of raw milk home, which was also succulent. Maybe it was because it was the dead of winter, but if they had all of their products available, this review would be a little higher. read more

This is one of my favorite places to visit or drive by in Framingham or anywhere. We moved here 2 years ago and I consider this one place worth the move. The ice cream is fantastic! Our favorite is butter pecan with loads of pecans. The milk is healthful and delicious. The cows are happy and beautiful. Boyfriend and I first came here for some raw milk. Boyfriend was iffy about it, but the lady we spoke to was really nice and cheerful, and was able to put us at ease. Their ice cream is absolutely to die for! Full of flavour, inexpensive, and their servings are HUGE in comparison to places like Baskin Robbins or Haagen Dazs. I got a small, and it lasted me long enough that I had to put it away and come back to it later! (Note: they have 'kid size' scoops also.) They have this cooler full of cheeses, handmade and flavoured with various spices. "Sage cheese" makes the BEST grilled cheese sandwiches ever! Since I never carry cash, the $10 minimum on credit/debit cards was slightly off-putting, but considering how wonderful their goods are, it's not hard to achieve (we just got a bigger block of cheese). read more

Eastliegh Farm looks like a little piece of France transported to north Framingham. I live nearby and am lucky to be able to stop at Eastleigh frequently. Since late 2011, the farm is also the home of Nobscot Artisan Cheese, which uses "Eastleigh Fresh" milk to make their cheeses. The cheese is as wonderful as the raw milk. The farm store is stocked with other locally produced items such as honey, maple syrup, local eggs, and baked goods. The farm store is also the drop-off point for a seafood CSA, and for other local farmers selling meats and poultry. For outdoor activity opportunities, Callahan State Park's Edmands Road lot is a short walk from Eastleigh. Also the Bay Circuit Trail is nearby (it goes through part of Callahan SP). read more

Eastleigh Farm is trying to make their way in the independent dairy and raw milk arena but they also have perhaps the best value in ice cream in the Metro West. At $1 per scoop, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything better. While you're there, you can look at the cows, hang around the tractors, and chat with the friendly shop minders about running a dairy. And the ice cream is good, did I mention this? These folks need the press and they deserve good press. While you're there, you can pick up some milk or other locally produced products like cheese or jam. Where else can you buy your milk and meet the cows? read more

I am careful providing 5 stars to any establishment but Eastleigh is in between a 4 and 5 in my book. For starters I searched in NYC for raw dairy and never found a farm in close enough proximity. One of the few refreshing things since moving to Wellesley from NYC is Eastleigh farm. I have visited twice so far and have been happy on both occasions. I purchased raw milk on both visits along with cheese. The staff is friendly and I like that it is a small operation that is working hard to provide a good selection of products to consumers. The hours work to make a visit during the week and a friend of mine sampled the ice cream they sell and really loved it. I have been visiting in the off-season so have only seen the smaller selection of goods they typically have in stock. If you are looking for raw dairy in the area and are up to visiting the actual farm it comes form I suggest Eastleigh. As the weather warms I hope to go and check out more of the farm itself. P.S. their farm canned sauerkraut is delicious. Also they accept credit cards which is a big plus that I appreciate. read more

First visit, there were used books for sale, grabbed a few, other times have gotten raw honey, organic meat, eggs, cheese, ice cream... A bit of a hike for a gallon of milk, and costs 3 times as much as from the store, but so happy to have found a source nearby for the raw milk! read more

I think of the ad "Powder or milk?" I am trying to do a good thing and drink/eat healthy and prevent my child from being ill with toxic foods sold and available at every step. this is not powder milk and water you buy at the supermarket. Raw milk is simply delicious. I love fresh milk, so I was excited to check this place out. The store was nice enough, and when the lady behind the counter said we were welcome to to watch the milking we were excited. However, the cows were so skinny I could see the outline of each cow's pelvis and count her ribs. I mentioned their appearance to one of the farm hands and she replied "all of their nutrients go into the milk." Maybe they should feed them more or milk them less! read more

I really love the ice cream here! I've tried almost every flavor and I don't think there's anything I don't like. For the size of the servings, and the price, you can get any better than this. I recommend the Butter Crunch flavor. read more

The farm tour doesn't even worth the drive there! You sit on a tractor -- seat is hard board, no hay ride -- which I don't care. It drives around a relatively small grass area. You see grass and bullshit -- This last 15 to 20 minutes. I like the ride -- haven't done this for a long time. Then you go to their barn and see those skinny cows -- no other animals. Then they show you where the milk goes -- that's it, very quick. The store front is not very clean. There is a simple playset outside, not a lot of parking space. We didn't buy anything there. read more
