New City has a few locations now, all of them stellar. This is the best I've cream in the area bar none. Best flavors, texture, freshness.. it's really impressive. They also always experiment with new flavors, and almost always succeed.

Sad portion. I wanted a kiddie but this was 2 bites...

Love this place, but $5 for a literal bite!? Disappointed in the Sudbury location/this server. PB fluff tasted great, just left me wanting more. Not even to the fill line of the cup. Rip off!

I thought the ice cream here was great. Super flavorful. Customer service was 5 stars as well. Would def return if/when in the area.

Kiddie blueberry cheesecake; smalls vegan mounds and chocolate almond croissant

Great ice cream, very cute aesthetic. Average pricing ($4.75 for kiddie, $5 something for small) They offer unique flavors that seem to change often - blueberry cheesecake is SO rare to come across I had to get it, it has legit berries in it and crumbly cheesecake. Very happy with it. The chocolate croissant didn't really have a croissant factor but other than that it was delicious and the chocolate was super rich. The vegan mounds was exactly what you'd expect, the coconut is not overwhelming. Would 100% come again!!

    Gingerbread. And bourbon vanilla

Staff was friendly. Service was quick. Excellent selection of flavors - the basics as well as some pretty cool original flavors. The gingerbread had really nice ginger flavor but the texture was really off. It was dry. Almost like frozen cookies batter. Very odd.

I heard a lot of good things about New City Microcreamery as it opened up in Sudbury and was excited to try it. My sister has gone a couple of times and enjoyed the flavors. I went on a weekday half an hour before the store closed and there were still a few customers coming in and out. I had the cookies and creams, mint chocolate chip, and vanilla. I really wanted to try strawberry (my favorite) but they were unfortunately out. Price wise, it is a bit on the higher side. However, it is reasonable given the quality was great. The staff member was very friendly and patient! She offered samples when I asked for the mint chocolate chip since their flavor is very different compared to other places. It was very thoughtful of her to let me know that. Overall, great experience. I will have to come back to try the strawberry flavor.

My brother and I visited New City Microcreamery tonight for a quick end-of-the-week treat. We ended up waiting in line for about an hour (there were maybe 6 small groups (2-4 people each) in front of us. I would guess that the store probably wasn't expecting that much business on a Friday night in January because there was only one girl working behind the counter trying to fill both in-store and online/delivery orders. My heart goes out to her - it's so stressful trying to manage a growing line and big incoming delivery orders all alone. While there was way too much work for one person to reasonably manage alone, the girl behind the counter was super sweet and delivered great customer service despite the line. The ice cream was nice (my brother love love loves the mint chip) and I'm always excited to find a spot with multiple vegan options (I had vegan peppermint stick). My brother also got whipped cream on his which he really enjoyed. Parking was a breeze, the store was relatively clean, the signage is nice (I love classic chalkboard signs), and the music was upbeat and fun. I'm leaving a 3-star review because we didn't expect to wait an hour when we first got into the line. This is in no way the fault of the single employee behind the counter (she was doing her best). Maybe they couldn't get anyone else to work on a Friday night or maybe someone called off sick, but the store could definitely use another person behind the counter (perhaps one on in-store orders and one on delivery). The employee working tonight deserves 5-stars for having to manage the place alone (I hope everyone who visited tonight understood that the wait was not her fault and left her big tips for handling a stressful situation with such grace).

amazing service! everyone was very kind and willing to help / explain ice cream flavors! AND the ice cream was super delicious ! (cannoli, blueberry cheesecake, cinnamon, tiramisu)

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and I really enjoyed it. The inside and outside are well designed to be bright, clean, and spacious. The staff was friendly, and the ice cream was delicious. I had a cake batter milkshake and ordered the strawberry milkshake for my husband. I love that they let you choose your milk (whole, skim, almond, etc.). I'll definitely be back. This place isn't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. I agree with another reviewer's comment, if you're going to have uniquely named ice cream flavors please give a description. It's awkward for customers to have to ask for a description of each [unique] flavor.

The burger patty itself seemed like cheap meat... i don't know how to describe it, but cheap meat tastes like it's mixed with pork (even if that's probably not the case) it's just how I can describe the taste. I threw away 3/4 of the $12 burger. If I can't eat something, you know it's bad. On the plus side, the shake was good. But I had a little moo version which is a small and a fraction of the size of a shake at 5 guys for the same price. There's not a single thing that would bring me back here. I honestly wanted to love it. I walked in thinking I could get an awesome smash type burger but overall I would never go back. I'll stick with the other burger options. I hate to say that I would pick McDonald's over Mooyah.. after this experience. Five Guys blows this experience away. Also, the inside was so loud with screaming kids that I couldn't hear the cashier. Not the restaurants fault but also not an ideal dining experience. But maybe the food here caters to kids so it doesn't need to be great.

They serve Richardson's ice cream, so not their own, and like other Richardson's not direct from their creamery it seems to lose a little flavor and texture. The name Richardson's is suspiciously absent on the walls as well. I got the banana split with German chocolate cake, blueberry pie, and rum raisin. They were all.. good, but I've had better of all three elsewhere. It was huge and priced accordingly! We had an unrelated issue too- my friend ordered a classic brownie sundae and even pointed at the picture of it on the wall- a big brownie with toppings. What he got instead was a cup with ice cream and pre-cut brownie bits in it, nowhere near as fresh and inviting. He pointed this out to them and instead of apologizing or asking if he wanted something else they just told him they don't make it like the picture. Disappointing product and service. We liked the young team of servers but I feel like the whole place could use an injection of energy and ice cream passion!

I had the coow-woow cocktail (America's first mixed drink), which was full of patriotic spirits. The w's are silent. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was absolutely delicious with bacon & blue cheese. It's fascinating, and every dish we had was both traditional and scrumptious. Also, our server had a nice sense of humor. The inn is out in the woods quite a ways, but worth the trip.

We were a party of 10 with reservations at 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet, as one would expect. There were maybe 5 or 6 tables occupied. The menu looked great. It had been updated and had a lot of options to choose from. Our waitress, Emma, seemed OK at first. She took our drink order and eventually our food order. I noticed an edge about her as she took the food order from some members of our family, but it wasn't a big deal. It took forever for our food to arrive. It was easily 45 minutes, probably longer. The manager came over to apologize and said they had an "unexpected number of walk-ins," but I could see the entire dining room and, at that point, there was no one else there. I dont know what he was talking about. Our family ordered different meals. The Chicken Pot Pie and the Fish dinner were both, reportedly, very good. The salmon atop a caesar salad was, reportedly, dry. My chicken club sandwich was okay. Two ordered burgers, which were not okay. My sister said hers smelled a bit off, and, sure enough, she had an "upset stomach" later in the day. I dont know what was wrong, specifically, with the second burger but the person who ordered it wasn't happy with it. I didn't hear about the other meals. To be fair, our waitress was not told about any of these issues so they didn't have a chance to make it right. Then came time for dessert and our waitress seemed annoyed that we were ordering. It was my mother's birthday and we weren't about to skip that, though. Emma was actually rude at that point. She clearly had an attitude when taking our dessert order. Several people commented on it. My mother and sister ordered the sherbet which both said was very good. I tried a bite of the raspberry and agree that it was very refreshing. I ordered the bread pudding, which was also very good. Portions were good, not skimpy. I highly recommend both of them. I didn't see what the others ordered. There was no compensation for the extremely long wait and there was no offer of a gratuitous dessert for my mother's birthday, but okay. They don't have to. They just missed an opportunity to provide better hospitality. As we left, there were about 6-7 staff hovering around the reception desk, just outside of the dining room. It functions like a "Command Central" for the Inn. Lots of management types. We had passed them on the way in. Not one of them seemed to be engaging with the customers. They were very business-like, milling around. They were just as closed-off as I remember them being when we came in. If this restaurant were not part of a historic landmark, it would never survive. Management and staff have clearly forgotten about the "hospitality" end of their business. I do, however, recommend going to the Inn, taking the tour (excellent), visiting the tavern, enjoying the grounds and the other facilities, e.g. The Grist Mill (perfect for a picnic or a game of frisbee), Martha Mary Chapel, etc., and do have lunch there--just don't expect the food or service to be anything great. Rating: two stars = "could have been better."

I knew our kids would absolutely love it, so we decided to stop by on Friday. When we arrived, we found out that tickets were required, and unfortunately, they were sold out online. One of the wonderful ladies at the ice cream truck suggested that we speak with the owner to see if there happened to be a cancellation, especially since we had traveled all the way from New Jersey. We spoke with the owner, and he kindly told us that if someone canceled, he would let us take their spot. Honestly, I didn't have much hope because there were seven of us! We decided to stick around and get some ice cream while we waited and I'm so glad we did! Their ice cream was AMAZING. The Cookie Monster was honestly one of the best I've ever had. While we were there, the kids got to see a cow with her baby, ducks, goats, and several other animals. They played, explored, and were genuinely having such a great time. Eventually, the owner's wife came over and let us know that unfortunately, there hadn't been any cancellations. But then something happened that truly touched our hearts. She knew from her husband that we had come all the way from New Jersey and wouldn't be able to come back another time, so she allowed our kids to feed some of the cows anyway without doing the ride, but from the gate. That small gesture meant SO much to us. She took the time to tell us about the cows and the other animals, answer our questions, and make our kids feel so welcome. It's not every day that you come across a business that goes out of its way to be this kind and accommodating, and it genuinely warmed my heart. We had such a fun experience, and the kids are still talking about it! If you're ever in the area, PLEASE go check them out. And definitely try the ice cream, even if you can't get tickets to the farm experience. It's absolutely worth the stop! Thank you for making our unexpected detour such a special memory.
