I've being going to various Bakker's locations for years and love the service and the quality of the cleaning. My father used to own a dry cleaning shop, so I know the quality level of Bakker's . I take my shirts for laundering, suits and other garments along with my blankets and comforters. They do an excellent job with an attentive staff. So many things wrong - not even sure where to start. 1) Items missing from my order (despite having a ticket from them with the amount of items I dropped off and I texted myself everything I dropped off.) 2) Another customer texted me to tell me she had my clothes. 3) I received another customer's cashmere sweater. 4) sweaters come back so big I just put them in the donation bin. 5) The main girl there is BEYOND RUDE and offers such poor poor CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dishonest practice. Damaged the trim on my coat's belt then claimed it was already damaged. The coat was new, barely used, and I even spoke to someone at the company who also inspected it with no issues. Besides lying about the damage, they also never mentioned the problem when I picked it up. Had to discover it for myself. Charged over $100 for a damaged coat. I've tried Bakkers in downtown Bellevue and Kirkland and each time is a great experience. My clothes are always cleaned perfectly and hung/covered to protect them as I travel home. Prices are a little higher than other dry cleaners but the service and quality is worth it! Staff are also very friendly and helpful. I've been a customer of Bakkers Dry Cleaning at this location for years. Many happy years; I recently brought a tired, lumpy, signs of a lot of traffic Down alternative sleeping (Mountain Hardware) Bag and was given a done by date for the following week. Yay, I get it cleaned. Here's where it gets weird. They text me the next morning saying that my articles are ready! Already! But wait- What did they do with my sleeping bag? How do I do negative stars? I took in four garments, three jackets and one suit. The stains clearly pointed out as I dropped them off. I picked them up, sadly without looking at them. Two garments were to accompany me on an out of state interview. One black jacket still had debris from my cashmere scarves, a couple hairs and smelled of my YSL l'homme cologne. Clearly NOT cleaned and still had tinfoil wrappers on all the buttons. I immediately took pictures. The second jack had hot pot soup spilled on the front. When I got to my out of state location, I was shocked to find the jacket was in the same condition as when I dropped off at the dry cleaners. The third item was a Hart, Shaffner and Marx suit with a tomato stain on the sleeve. Again, the same condition as I dropped them off in....... The fourth item - my oldest and favorite jacket I believe was cleaned, came back with a broken button that I had not noticed previously. May or may not have been cleaned. Today I went back and requested a refund. Since I did not get service, I feel as though I have been taken advantage of and no longer trust them with any of my garments. I spoke to the owners wife to no avail. She referred me to the manager who refused to look at my pics or my jacket, saying they were cleaned, why would we not clean them???? I said exactly, why were they not cleaned??? I demanded owners wife Ruthie at that point, knowing she is a close friend of a friend of mine, I was sure they would be ethical and do the right thing. I got an icy we will only clean them for you. NO THANKS.... I said that's fine, they would not be happy with the yelp. So.....here I am. Not only this, I again wrote the same story to Bakkers 10-minutes ago again relating my appalling service. My next email is the BBB, I consider this fraud. The next is Attorney General for fraudulent charges, who knows, Jessie may be next. This is about service, this is about doing what is right. I am not sure how this attitude grows your company...I can tell you they do not guarantee satisfaction. I've been using Bakker's for about a year now and I am thrilled I found a great Dry Cleaning company that I can take my suits to. I've always been hesitant in the past to take my suits to a dry cleaner but Bakker's has given me a worry free option. A couple reasons Bakker's has earned my business are they have been in business for over 60 years and they are locally owned and operated. With having a handful of locations around Seattle and offering a delivery service they are very convenient. They have an awesome rewards program that I would recommend anyone to sign up for (it's free) and it's very comparable if not more affordable than other dry cleaners in the area. read more

Had dropped off some wool coats for dry cleaning and they not only did a good job on the coats but were incredibly honest since I had forgotten to empty my husband's coat pocket and inadvertantly left his $200 headset in it. Went to this dry cleaning place recently for the first time to get a suit and shirt dry cleaned. It's a very simple dry clean shop with basic clothing maintenance stuff being sold on some side shelves and a counter with a register. Nothing special about the store appearance. It's in a small plaza and parking can be limited depending on the time and day. Service was very friendly. I've encountered a couple different workers, and they've all been pretty friendly. They email you when you're stuff is ready, which is pretty convenient. I'd say high tech for a dry cleaning place. Pretty timely service as well. The cleaning gets done, unfortunately I can't say much about how well they clean good or bad. My suit and shirt turned out fine. Price is competitive. Sign up with them to get supposed discounts. It's so easy to sign up, it's kind of like those grocery store card discounts where you'd be dumb not to take advantage of it. Not expensive, but I wouldn't say it's super cheap either. I haven't been to enough dry cleaning places to really compare prices well. I'm thinking about making it my local dry clean shop. read more

I find it strange that my experience is so consistenly different than others over many years. I've just started using Bakker's (pronounced bockers) Fine Dry Cleaning because I had a 50% off coupon from the Entertainment book. The coupon is a little misleading, it's 50% off drycleaning, which I assumed included my dress shirts. Apparently, they are laundered, not dry cleaned. No big deal. One more thing, my collar stays are missing when I get my shirts back. Make sure to check! The manager today was nice and gave me a handful and let me know they will not go missing again. If you sign up for their e-mail list, you get 40% off of your drycleaning, which, essentially just brings them to the same prices as the surrounding dry cleaners (I've checked). read more

Next time I went I asked for next day cleaning and they complied with a smile. I've used them a third time and again - great service - and again asked for another repair with no problems. Joke of a business who destroyed my wife's wedding dress, has had no regret for their actions, and has not offered any sort of refund in the slightest for their poor work. As a first time customer, I am extremely impressed with Bakker's. The customer service here went above and beyond. I dropped off a long North Face goose down overcoat. I saw there was a coupon online so I used the coupon in my first visit. When getting the email that my item was ready for pick-up, I noticed the pricing was not what I was given upon drop off. I called Bakker's about it and they said they would honor the price given. I appreciate that they made things right with the customer without hesitation. The quality of dry cleaning was also high quality, as my jacket had never been washed in my seven years of owning it. The jacket looked brand new. We use Bakker's, though we're not really frequent users as most of our day to day clothing is wash and wear. However, there are times when we have wool garments that need cleaning. Bakker's does a fast, professional job. They always return stuff you leave in your pockets and I've never had a smashed button from them. They will let you know when a stain doesn't come clean: you don't have to figure this out for yourself. They've been our go to for 16 years at the point of this review. read more

I left the same review but with pictures there. ===== Overpriced, even with their 'discounts', cleaners, that try to look professional on the surface of it. I used Bakkers dry cleaning a couple times(5+). All the time I went to the same location in Bellevue. At first I trusted them with a few sweaters, which came back clean, but a bit large. I disregarded that occurrence. Than I trusted them with my suite: that came out ironed very weirdly. So I decided that maybe they will do a good job at least with my shirts. I should have trusted them with 1 shirt to begin with, but I made a mistake and gave them 8 of my business shirts(each 80$ value). They destroyed all of them. I'm attaching pictures of that. I'm not really sure what they did, but they became 1 size larger. I had a similar size short sleeve shirt to compare with(same brand. I only buy KK shirts for that purpose) and the shoulders were 1 size wider! Also the fabric became extremely fragile and started ripping after a couple days use. Not to mention the marks they made on my clothes! I reached out to them numerous times for recourse and settlement, but they kept claiming that they investigated the issue and found no problems in the process/shirts. To my dismay, I had to eventually replace all of my 8 shirts (640$ value). So my service ended up being about 800$ for all-new shirts and heaps of wasted time. C'mon do you think I'm going to bring my expensive shirts so you can ruin it again. She has a great personality and always has a smile on her face when a customer walks in. I've used dozens of dry cleaners over the years and this is the first time I've ever stuck with one. This drycleaner wrote a code (probably to identify its client )on a shirt with black permanent marker without prior notice. In my case, the same 4 character code was written on the very bottom of my shirt (back of front side, on the line where buttons are placed). In case of a shirt made with thin fablic, such code can be seen slightly from front side. Because the code was small and written on the back side of a shirt, I did not recognize it until I had this drycleaner handle all of my more than 30 dress shirts. I would recommend those who use this drycleaner, at least Bellevue Way shop, to check if there is any handwritten black code on your men's shirts, and also recommend those who do not like your shirts to be written a handwritten code by a black permanent marker, to go to a different drycleaner. read more

Went to pick up the 6 shirts I left at Bakker a few days ago and the bill was $33. When I looked more closely, two of the shirts were $11 each. When I asked for an explanation, they told me the two shirts had to be cleaned and manually ironed in the store and the price for that is $11/shirt. When I asked why they had to do that, the answer was that it's the store's policy to clean and iron shirts of that brand in the store!! I have not been made aware of this policy when i dropped off the shirts and i might add that I paid about $25 for each of the two shirts when I bought them and there was nothing special about them, just regular 100% cotton. read more

Terrible service. Especially the location on Bellevue way. They do not take any responsibility for damages they make to your clothes. If they can't wash it they should confirm with the customer before taking any action, but nope not at this place. They will literally alter your shirt to fix the mistake they made without confirming with you first. Plus they dont offer any sort of store credit to reimburse you for your loss. I would look for another dry cleaners, stay away from this place. So upset. read more

BEWARE and Stay Away! I have been going to Bakker's for several months for my dry cleaning and tailoring needs, as I recently moved from out of state. I found the prices here to be quite expensive (approximately double the dry cleaning costs of NY and LA) yet was assured that prices 'were consistent' with Washington State costs. In early July, I dropped off several pieces of clothing to be dry cleaned and returned to the store a week later for the pick up. A few days later when I went to wear a pair of pants (new pants purchased less than a month ago) that were supposedly 'cleaned' by Bakker's, I noticed a large, indigo circular stain on the leg. Returned to Bakker's to identify the stain that was not there originally (prior to cleaning) and had the pants 're-cleaned.' Again, there was absolutely NO indication when I picked up the pants originally that there was a stain. No marker, no tag, and no notice from store personnel. I, of course, did not think to look for a stain because the pants were not delivered to the store in this way. Another week goes by and the pants are ready to be picked up yet when I arrive at the store, the manager casually informs me that they cannot remove the stain. They are not sure what it is or how it got there but basically it's MY problem. My beautiful new pants, worn 3-4 times in less than a month, were now ruined by Bakker's with a HUGE stain. After a month of going back and forth to the store, speaking to store personnel and representatives in their corporate office, and submitting a 'claim form,' my poor service experience is still not resolved. I am infuriated at how a business that prides themselves on valuing their customer has repeatedly denied any responsibility for the stain and has left me with a useless pair of stained paints plus the dry cleaning bill that ruined them! More than a $100 down the drain. If you love your things and want to feel confident you're entrusting your personal items to a business that is run professionally and with integrity, TAKE YOUR DRY CLEANING ELSEWHERE!
