I have to admit, it's been a while since I've been to a mall. The Eastview Mall stood out, because the last few times I've been, various malls have been emptying out with slim offerings. With very limited malls left in the area, this is the go to stop for shopping and restaurants all in one area. Eastview has always been know as a higher standard when it comes to shopping options... apple, Williams Sonoma, ll bean, Eddie Bauer, Hollister, Sephora to name a few. I stopped in for drinks at champs for happy hour. Nice crowd at the bar. Dinner however was across the way at PF Changs. So many options around here. Took my niece to build a bear for a new stuffed animal to bring home.. she loves the process of picking out and creating a new stuffy. read more

First time at this mall, stop after Casa Larga Vineyards. Not my orginal plans for my birthday, that was on December 1, due to weather. Very festive, spacious mall with all your known stores. It was nice to see a busy mall, with its only little holiday market of vendors, and not a lot of empty store fronts. The smaller empty stores, already have new stores filling them. Wow. This place has changed so much since my teen years. Coming from the west side, this mall was always the "rich" east side. Unfortunately this mall seems to be on life support. Growing up, my grandparents would take me on trips to Rochester and we would always stop at the Eastview Mall and shop and take some spins on the carousel. I have fond memories of this place. Fast forward 25 years, and my friend and I stopped by here when we went for a day trip to Rochester. This mall is very nice and has many stores that Buffalo lacks. They also have a display in a store front of Toothpick World. Someone crafted buildings including the Empire State Building, and a Star Wars scene completely out of toothpicks. It was pretty cool and unexpected to see in a mall, but then again I don't frequent malls anymore and don't really know what goes on there. We were thirsty and ended up stopping at Charlie's for a couple of drinks. We proceeded to the water features near the entrance of the food court and sat there, drinking our drinks, and I was immediately transported to my teen years being driven to the mall, and waiting for the pickup of one of our moms. Eastview Mall is suppose to be the premier shopping destination. I think not. During the busiest shopping time of the year they close their stores at 8 pm this Friday. Before they were open till 10 pm during December. Last year they closed early and I went home and spent $300 on Amazon. This money could of been spent at Mall stores. read more

Long live the mall or something! Was back at Eastview for the first time in a while this Saturday and was really heartened to see it bustling with tweens, families, shoppers, and activity. This mall is well-maintained and a destination - stores for pretty much anything you might need. Given that this is one of the last functional malls in the area, it is nice to see it being given the love it deserves. Some of my favorites include the locally-owned Impact Earth for zero waste goods, H&M (recently replaced Forever 21 likely to keep up with my-aged shoppers who still like to go try things on IRL and have aged out of F21 styles), Sephora, the eateries, the innovative Dick's House of Sport, aerie, Anthropologie for a splurge, and a few others. All of your favorite clothing brands are here, along with some delightful surprises. Happy shopping! read more

Love it or hate it, Starbucks in that mall is a draw. Lines of people were constant and many people always gathered to sit and drink coffee. It helped keep shoppers be in the mall longer and to potentially shop more. This is a greedy move by both businesses. Starbucks being cheap and Wilmorite biting its nose off while having issues to fill their vacancies. Although that location is successful, Starbucks doesn't need it to survive. It's been a while since I spent a significant amount of time in a real mall, but upon returning to Eastview, I've found it to be a damn good one. As I mentioned previously, it has a wide range of stores for all your gift shopping needs, and touchscreen directories in every corner of the giant place so you can figure out where the hell you're going. Most importantly: 1. They have the things that make my wife happy: Anthropologie, Sephora, Banana Republic, Lululemon... 2. They have the things that make me happy: Mall Chinese Food, Auntie Anne's pretzels, lots of comfortable seating (leather couches in front of a fireplace!)... And they even have some new-fangled eateries like the acai bowl joint where you can be healthy-ish (green smoothies available), and a place called Macarollin' that really can't be bad. read more

Still have a lot of love for Eastview mall. Now as a mom, I realize how nice it is that they do different events for kids like for Easter, Christmas, special events and having the carousel too in the food court area. Also not to mention all the different food options. I love the fireplace set up near Von Muir, shops are easily accessible and my toddler son gets distracted enough with seeing things. Great addition is the cat cafe and all the new stores they have. I recently did a Stroller Strides class there for moms where you work out with your child in a stroller and it was quite nice/great atmosphere to do the workout. read more

Ahhh the Mall! They have a Macy's, Von Maur, JCPenny, Lord and Taylor (I believe it's still there).. Brooks Brothers, Anthropology, Lush, Williams-Sonoma, Apple, Sephora and etc. They have a large food court and also a lot of other sit down restaurants in the area like PF Chang's, Bonefish, Village Bakery and the Movie Theatre is close too. It's a nice place to shop, or power Walk which is a plus. If you are looking for yourself or a gift they have what you need. It's a quick drive from downtown Rochester via the highway or if you take a major street. Parking is a plenty and if you have a Tesla they have a charging station for your car. Cheers read more

Having been to this mall many times I am surprised I never wrote a review. Close to home, and in a retail hub, this mall is great for stores, food, and walking. This is an upscale mall, surrounding the mall you will find discount stores like Target, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. The mall has a great selection of retailers, a food court with varied choices, and several sit down restaurants if fast food is not your thing. The mall itself is incredibly well maintained, clean, and appealing to look at. I enjoy just walking the mall, and sitting at one of the numerous sitting areas and people watching while I enjoy my soft pretzel or ice cream! lol If you're a shopper or a walker, head over to this Mall as you will surely enjoy yourself. read more

When the mall first opened, the jingle "Eastview Mall just around the corner. Eastview Mall on Route 96..." became an earworm due to constant & frequent advertising on TV & radio. As Eastview Mall has grown over the years, the shopping "Mecca" has drawn shoppers away from Monroe County's destination malls. Of our area malls, this is the premiere location, with Greece Ridge Mall as it's only real competitor. Irondequoit Mall has been essentially neutered, Midtown has been leveled and Marketplace Mall looks to be on the ropes. Lots of destination stores here, among the best in the brick & mortar retailers. J. Crew, Apple Store, Anthropologie are but a few of the exclusives. Von Maur will be replacing Bon Ton in the fall of '13. Dining options include P. F. Chang's, Biaggis, Champs & Bonefish Grill. Other stores have popped up in the area surrounding Eastview, making this Ontario County location *the* retail nerve center for folks who prefer shopping in a store to buying online. read more

I'm not the person that would ever get excited over a mall, but as a visitor from Florida, I was impressed with the store selection and all the seating available. There are sitting areas everywhere that feel like you are in your living room at home, complete with fireplace and lamps. You have to do a bit of shopping across the country to realize how great of a mall Eastview is. Don't get me wrong, I hate malls, because they're often stagnant, ugly, dirty, or partially vacant. Eastview used to be a bit of a dump before the big expansion many years ago, now it is a remarkable place to shop, with a diverse array of stores and well maintained facilities. I prefer Eastview to all of the Monroe County Malls; Greece Ridge, Lake Ridge/Medley Centre (formerly Irondequoit Mall), and Marketplace, mainly because even if I'm not buying anything, because this mall is so pleasant to walk around. No long stretches of vacant stores, weird temporary shops, or sketchy eddies. Even the standalone shops nearby, LL Bean, BJ's, Target, really help lure me into a visit to the mall. read more

Eastview Mall is the "higher end" mall in the Rochester area. Has every store you may need with surroundings stores in the immediate driving area. This mall is amazing! Very large, clean and bright. Walking through here it is very spacious and the stores are all very inviting. From what I could tell there is one floor but thats fine because it is one huge epic floor, indeed! There are electronic touch screen directorys conveniently placed that help you find the stores you are looking to find. Walking through you will smell several good things emanating from the many stores trying to lure you in. There is a water fountain area that is very attractive and lots of real plants and flowers very well scaped into the walkaround areas that impressed me 100%. Also, worthy of mention that there are many stores that arent found at my local Galleria and McKinley malls, such as Lovesac which I came here for specifically. All in all an amazing mall and worth the 1.5hr drive to visit for me! Check it out guys ! A+ read more

This mall has progressively gotten better over the past 25 years. I grew up going to this mall - initially for the food court and merry-go-round. But then afterwards for the cool layout of the mall and Johnny Rocket's. Over the past 10 years, especially, it has become much more upscale. It's restaurant selection has expanded and a new wing of the mall has a very busy Starbucks kiosk. Stores such as Coach and Brooks Brothers. What I like most about this place is the energy. It's usually pretty crowded, which I prefer to the emptiness of a dying retail center. It's always festive and the decorations are low-key but fun. It's a mixed older and younger crowd, and more affluent than other malls in Rochester due to its proximity to Pittsford, Victor, and Mendon. Around this mall are now Home Depot and a bunch of other ancillary places. read more

This is certainly not the best mall that I've ever been too but considering the state of the other shopping malls around Rochester, this is clearly the best one to visit. While it's not the biggest mall by all means, it can definitely seem that way if you take the time to walk around the entire mall. The outside appearance can be very deceiving to newcomers as it seems to be quite grand on the outside but when you get on the inside, the size and quality of the mall drops a little as the dark green marble tile floors and large fountains clearly show Eastview's age. However, it is not all that terrible. Unlike the other malls that are surrounded by blocks upon blocks of other commercial developments, Eastview is situated mostly by lots of trees and hills which can seem like the mall is really in the middle of nowhere. It can be a bit of a task to even find it if you are new to the area but when you do draw near, it does become noticeable. The exterior entrances have all been updated in the past few years and continue to be constantly maintained to keep up a prestigious appearance. If you don't decide to enter through the main entrance, the other entryways near such clothing outlets like JCPenney are easier to get into as many people don't normally take those pathways. As a shopping mall goes, Eastview does have some of the best stores that can't really be found anywhere else in Rochester. However, the downside to this is that they are usually packed 24/7 and trying to shop in these outlets will result in frustration, immediate claustrophobic feelings, and a lot of unintentional pushing. Some of these unique stores include the following... - Brookstone - Apple Store - Von Maur - L.L Bean - Michael Kors - LEGO Store - Lord and Taylor - Sleep Number - Pottery Barn - Eddie Bauer ...and much more than that. I can only assume that the main reason Eastview continues to be choice mall in Rochester is that it contains all of these popular stores that can be only found here as well as some higher end restaurants. This is really the only reason I take the half hour drive to get here when It comes to time to do some "expensive" shopping. Besides the stores which can be talked about in separate reviews, half of the mall has been fully updated which has the newer diamond rough tile floors that aren't marble next to lower ceilings. This new wing is found near the Von Maur area and in front of the actual store itself, there is a large sitting area complete with a fireplace bigger than my bedroom that ca be viewed from all sides. It's a nice area that you can relax in when you need a break from walking. Other areas of sitting can be found around the mall such as near the food court, near the coffee area, the fountain area by the Eddie Bauer outlet, and really, just anywhere you can find a bench or ledge to sit in. No matter where you choose to sit, it's guaranteed to be at least clean. In terms of cleanliness, it's pretty immaculate and even the dated marble floors still shine as if they were brand new and in my opinion, match the look and feel of the mall so well, they really don't need to be replaced. Now that is just my personal preference, but of course, other's may choose to differ. While I love this mall, its clear that a lot of Victor residents shop here and if you choose to wear "lower end" clothes, whatever those may be, expect some local teenagers to give you weird looks. Don't let that bother you, you're here to shop and enjoy yourself, not impress anybody. So while some people may seem a bit snobbish, the mall has a nice atmosphere to it that feels alive and bustling. The vibe is definitely there and makes the shopping experience more than enough for a return visit. As before, not the best mall I have visited but it is really unique and the praise that it does receive is well deserved even though it can be a bit excessive at times. For new residents, Eastview will be a great shopping mall for doing some spending or just meeting friends but for locals who already know of Eastview's splendor, continue to visit, it's well worth the extra gas tank. read more

This is my favorite mall of all the malls that I have ever been to. As a girl who grew up in the suburbs - suffice it to say, I've been to MANY a mall. Eastview is really the best. There is such a crazy array of stores to get stuff from - including stores that you cannot find elsewhere or only have a few locations around the country. I absolutely ADORE Eastview. My personal favorite time is around Christmas. The entire mall lights up and even though everyone shopping gets a little bit antsy and anxious, it is something that I love. I adore being interspersed in the magic that Eastview brings. read more

This is s high end shopping mall with big name stores and restaurants. Typical mall prices but very clean and comfortable experience.

Eastview Mall is by far the best mall in the Rochester area. There is an incredible selection of stores, and there doesn't seem to be open space for very long if a store ends up moving. The food choices are pretty good, especially since they've added the restaurants to the outside. The mall is also incredibly well kept and maintained, the employees do an incredible job of keeping it in top shape even when it is busy. They also used to have a winery tasting room in the mall, which was incredible, but apparently the winery was asked to give up their lease for another tenant. It was a nice option, one that I would like to see return. The major fault of Eastview is the traffic, which is partly based on the way its organized but also a fault of the town of Victor. While Malls are expected to be busy, the traffic organization does not seem to be able to handle the traffic, especially around the Holidays. Malls are not created to be a quick stop, it is incredibly difficult to get in and out in a short amount of time when it is busy. read more
