    Mimosa Flight
    Joniece H.

I've been to the location in Baltimore and was so excited when I heard a location was coming to dtss. My bestfriend and I went for brunch and even though they're still fairly new and were very busy, we waited little to no time for a table for 2. We went around 12:30 on Sunday. Even with it being so busy, our server Nya (I believe was her name) was extremely attentive to us and checked in multiple times. We had the mimosa flight to start and I had the surf and turf special with the 5.5 oz crab cake. MAN OH MAN! That crabcake was nothing but LUMP crab it was delicious. The steak was seasoned to perfection and the eggs were fried just the way I asked. I do wish my potatoes were fried a little harder as I like them crispy but- personal preference. My friend had the fried chicken and cornmeal pancakes and she enjoyed her dish as well! We also got a Lovely Sunday cocktail after our mimosas and those were so delightful with the sugar rim. Love this place even more now this it's 20 mins from me, I will most def be becoming a regular!

Peach Cobbler French Toast, Green Veggie Scramble, Sourdough Toast, Cheesy Grits

A friend and I were walking toward the coffee shops in Downtown Silver Spring when Easy Like Sunday caught our attention. We were curious and dropped in to look at the menu but quickly decided to have an impromptu brunch. The ambiance truly fits the name of this delightful brunch eatery! The hostess was warm and welcoming, and assured us that we'd love the food. Our server, Alijah, was equally hospitable and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a hot chai latte, and my friend an iced cafe mocha, both of which we enjoyed. We thought we'd try a light French toast but ultimately indulged in the peach cobbler variety. SO GOOD! And surprisingly light, despite its rich presentation. We also ordered the green veggie scramble with cheesy grits, and everything was delicious! Between the ambiance, the food, and the service, Easy Like Sunday is outstanding on all accounts. I'm so pleased to have Easy Like Sunday in my neighborhood and look forward to returning soon!

A special thank you to our server, G, who provided outstanding service throughout our visit. G was attentive, friendly, and made sure our table was well taken care of from beginning to end. I also want to recognize Antonio and Brian behind the bar. Both were professional, personable, and made fantastic drinks while keeping the energy high. Their customer service and attention to detail truly added to the overall experience. Lastly, a shoutout to Lou, the security guard, for being welcoming, professional, and helping create a safe and positive environment for guests. It's not often that every member of the team contributes to such a memorable experience, but The Breakfast Club definitely delivered. Great food, great drinks, and an exceptional staff. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Downtown Silver Spring. I'll definitely be back!

I was told this charge does not go to the waiter but is instead shared with other staff (busser, host, etc.), and that customers are expected to leave an additional tip for the server. I initially left a 20% tip because I did not notice the automatic 18% service charge. To make matters worse, I was initially given the wrong receipt, which added to the confusion. When I realized the service charge had already been included and asked for the extra tip to be removed, the waiter told me he does not receive any portion of the 18% charge. I asked whether the expectation was for customers to leave a total of 38%, and I was told that is how it works at this restaurant and in Washington DC. I found the billing and tipping process confusing and misleading. I won't be back.

Our server was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and he made sure we had everything we needed. Even though it was a busy weekend lunchtime, the service was surprisingly quick and attentive. I ordered a Kir Royale, which was refreshing and well-balanced, while the chai latte was also delicious. My partner and I both ordered Eggs Benedict--one with smoked salmon and the other with braised short rib. The English muffin base was warm, fluffy, and lightly toasted. The hollandaise was velvety with a hint of pepper and almost reminded me of a cacio e pepe sauce. The generous portion of salty smoked salmon paired really well with the runny egg. The small side salad was also a nice touch and helped cleanse the palate between bites of the rich Benedict. We also shared the Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée, which was a small portion but delightful and the perfect way to finish the meal. Since it was my birthday, I also received a scoop of ice cream, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, I'm so glad I chose this place for my birthday brunch. I had a wonderful experience and would love to come back and try some of their other dishes!

Dear Restaurant Owner,…read more My husband and I had been looking forward to dining at your restaurant for quite some time and finally had the opportunity to visit on Tuesday, June 2, before attending a concert nearby at 8:00 PM. We arrived at approximately 6:45 PM, were seated promptly, and were greeted by our server, Anna. She was pleasant; however, the service we received throughout the evening was extremely disappointing. We ordered drinks to start. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a rosé prosecco. When my drink arrived, it was visibly flat. I tasted it anyway and found it to be both warm and lacking carbonation. When I brought this to Anna's attention, she responded, "I noticed it looked flat too; I'll get you another one." Frankly, this was concerning. If she noticed the drink was not of acceptable quality, it should never have been served to a customer in the first place. We then ordered the mussels appetizer, which was excellent and one of the highlights of our visit. Shortly afterward, I ordered the swordfish special, and my husband ordered the shrimp po' boy. Neither dish would typically require an unusually long preparation time. Unfortunately, what followed was nearly an hour of waiting with no communication. Anna never checked on the status of our meals, nor did she provide any updates. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables who were seated after us receive their food and complete their meals. By 7:45 PM, with our concert approaching, my husband suggested that we ask for our meals to be packed to go. It quickly became apparent that our entrees had not even been prepared. When Anna finally returned, she told us it would be "another five minutes," indicating that our meals had not yet been cooked despite being ordered nearly an hour earlier. At that point, we had no choice but to take the food to go so that we would not miss our concert. As a result, we ended up eating cold food later that evening. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that we had genuinely been excited to visit your restaurant. We had heard good things and were looking forward to a memorable dinner before our evening out. Instead, we left feeling overlooked and wondering what we had done to warrant such poor service and lack of attention. To my surprise, my husband--who is incredibly kind and non-confrontational--still left Anna a 20% tip, despite the fact that the service did not merit it. I am writing not to seek anything in return, but simply to make you aware of our experience. The quality of the mussels showed us that your kitchen is capable of producing excellent food. Unfortunately, the service and lack of communication overshadowed what should have been a wonderful evening. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it helps prevent future guests from having a similar experience. t

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. If you're looking for an elevated seafood experience with Caribbean-inspired flavors, Society Seafood is worth checking out.

The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. There was plenty of parking as I had an early reservation for brunch, even though when I left, there was still a lot of parking available so I parked near the elevator that takes you directly up to the entrance. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. Even though the menu stated that the tip was 18%, they added 20. I'm not going to fuss over 2% because I was happy with my service. I'm looking forward to coming back for happy hour in the near future.

We decided to try a little bit of everything from the appetizer menu. Lamb Meatballs -- 4/10: Good flavor, but unfortunately they were cold. Korean-Style Ribs -- 7/10: Not enough meat, but the sauce was really good and I loved how crispy they were. Wagyu Sliders -- 9/10: Delicious! I just wish they had a little more sauce. Buttermilk Fried Oysters -- 8/10: Really good, and I especially loved the dipping sauce. Crabcakes -- 10/10: Every single one was perfect. Easily my favorite thing we ordered! The restaurant got pretty packed, which I expected because of the all-night happy hour. Just keep in mind that the happy hour is only honored at the bar. The staff was cool, the restaurant itself is really nice, and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stop by again!
