Cardamom bun is good! Glazed so a bit on the sweeter side but the cardamom flavor is great! Spacious inside with seating

We finally made it! I made it my mission to visit Manifest on a Sunday morning post snowstorm for breakfast. When you enter there is an ordering line where you can see all of the of the baked goods they have for the day and make your selections before it's your turn to order. There is coffee, tea, and a wine menu as well. Manifest faces the parking lot and has large windows that get lots of natural sunlight at the table that's right in front. We were lucky enough to get the table right in front which was perfect for such a cold day. My partner and I decided to try the savory danish with a whipped cream cheese onion filling topped with a light cheese served cold (a touch too cold for the weather). We also tried the frittata with potato and I'm not quite sure as the other ingredients were easy to miss, we also tried the homemade hot sauce, which was very spicy! The frittata was served cold as well. We ordered two cookies to go the chocolate chip pecan and ginger molasses both large, soft, and perfect. The ginger had a nice fresh fragrant flavor! Before leaving we met Andrew, the manager and he was super friendly. Overall Manifest was good and we are looking forward to returning soon to try the Pizza!

They don't have holiday flavored lattes but have a few nice flavors. If you want the frittata warmed you have to request it warmed. Nice cafe music was a little loud so can't work there for long without it being bothersome.

DC came out a list of best sourdough breads or something and everyone was commented this shop in the comments that wasn't on the list. So I drove 45 mins from Alexandria to try it. Got there 930am and got the goods. Owner lady helped me and was lovely and nice! Everyone was great and service was great. Got to try their pastries and sesame sourdough. Good stuff all around and sesame bread was great. Sliced them up,froze them and heat up a slice when I want one. So good. Sesame adds a punch to the flavor profile. Well done Manifest. Now I need to try their pizza next...

    Delicious drink!

We used to order pizza every Thursday and had been waiting for a pizza nights to come back because they have the best pizza. Instead of just ordering carry out we decided to eat in. I'll start with the downside because after that I only have good things to say. The online menu is a sample menu so drinks and food may not match what is actually being offered in the restaurant. They also had us order before we sat down and we definitely weren't ready for that when the menu was different. My husband had a plate with sliced pork or ham (sorry I don't eat it so no idea the proper name), some type of jam/jelly, a big cracker. He said the meat was delicious and I had some cracker which was really good. We also had a cod, potato dish with bread which was very good! As always the pizza was amazing! We also had dessert, my husband did not love his but my cheesecake was delicious. Our drinks were delicious and staff was very attentive.

I was in search of some non-grocery store sourdough bread and found this business. I was excited about the opportunity to taste some fresh bread. I arrived at about 1 PM on a Friday after a 30 minute drive to their location and was deeply disappointed that they were sold out. I never understand why bakeries Don't bake all day long. I was told by the person taking orders that in order to get bread it's best to get there no later than 10 AM. Since I had already driven all the way to get there I figured I would experience what else they had to offer. So I got a sandwich. The sandwich was good, but not amazing. As you can see from the picture it's a ciabatta and was burnt. The flavor of the sandwich overall was good, but not something I would be excited to make another trip back just for the sandwich and would not order it again. The soda was tasty. The location is nice. Parking was easy. It's a small place but on a Friday afternoon there were a decent amount of available seats. I will try to go back earlier in the day so I can get the bread and see what else I could experience.

Great food and nice clean look inside. But the lattes were weak and too milky. Hope they can get it right.

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The menu has shrunk significantly and what's left doesn't justify the price point. $20 for deviled eggs? And nearly everything is paired with grits, which is interesting for a restaurant billing itself as African and Asian fusion. I brought a Nigerian friend along and we were both equally confused by that creative direction. Safe to say grits aren't exactly a staple. We were told about off-menu options tomahawk, ribeye (out of stock), and branzino. We went with the branzino and a potato hash that turned out to be exactly what it sounds like: cut up potatoes and what tasted like powdered eggs straight from a hotel breakfast buffet. The branzino needed salt, pepper AND hot sauce to get there, that's not a seasoning preference.. The ambience and decor remain the highlight genuinely a beautiful space. But a pretty room can only carry so much. I wanted to love this place. I really did. But I don't think a third visit is in the cards.

My sister ordered a cocktail drink and did not receive her drink until after we completed our meal. You can tell that the server was trying his best, but it definitely seemed like he was trying to manage too many tables at once. The food in my opinion the starters are better than the entrees they are good and flavorful something the main entrées lack. And the presentation is like they just threw the food on the plate. I believe for 18% gratuity I feel like the establishment can care more about customer satisfied and presentation. Maybe I just went on bad days but my overall experience for this place is 6/10 it definitely has space for improvement.

We had a 6:30pm reservation and upon arrival we were promptly seated at lovely window table near the front. The ambiance is great it's spacious with beautiful tables, chairs, and a decent sized wine display. Our first server was great she offered suggestions for wine and the menu and she had a friendly personality. We started with the Era 75 and a glass in the Spanish , red that was on "wine o' clock", we also ordered the shrimp and avocado tostini's and truffle fries. The wine was ok it wasn't as full bodied as I expected it to be but my partner really like the era75. The crostini's were a 10/10 and the truffle fries were a miss as I think they could have been cooked for a few more minutes. The servers switched at some point so we got someone new and I think she was only person there. We both ordered the linguine with the first server but the second came right before our dishes came and we shared we wanted a white to pair with the pasta. She seemed a little less knowledgeable but she made a suggestion that I liked the Alvarinho. The wine didn't come out, I had to stop eating and wait. She came back after about 12-15 minutes to check on us and I shared we still had not received the wine. Another person came to check on us I'm not sure who he was but possibly the owner. The linguine was well prepared although a bit salty for my liking. We were warned about the spice level but it wasn't spicy in my opinion. Overall the dish was good. For dessert my partner ordered cheesecake. The reason I'm giving a 4 is because of the slow service after the servers switched out and because the kitchen became quite smoky a few times and I smelt like smoke when we left. I will definitely return and I'm looking forward to the patio when it gets warmer out.
