The staff took the time to listen and made sure detailed notes were passed along to the groomer, which immediately put me at ease. Maritza did a stellar job. My pug came back clean, smelling great, and his nails were trimmed perfectly. Most importantly, he was calm and well cared for, which tells me everything I need to know. They have everything really. I live in the north county SD so I drive about 25-30 minutes to come here and don't mind making the drive since they're amazing. Today was the last straw. I made a grooming appointment for my dog (a rescue who understandably has a difficult time with grooming), weeks in advance. They refused to take him today because he was not medicated. I'm absolutely all for keeping the groomers and dogs safe, and I understand their reasoning. However, their lack of communication was extremely disappointing. No one informed us at our previous appointment or when we booked this appointment weeks ago that medication would now be required. Like many people, we have busy schedules and planned ahead specifically for this appointment. Rearranging everything at the last minute is not easy for us, and we cannot simply come in another day on short notice.

I was honestly nervous about finding the best groomer for my Yorkie because he had a lot of hair and really needed a good haircut. Mo came highly recommended, and I am so, so, so glad I found him. Mo was absolutely amazing with my Yorkie, who is usually very attached to me and gets anxious when I leave him with anyone. This was his very first haircut, and he did surprisingly well, which I truly credit to how patient, gentle, and confident Mo was with him. Not only does Mo provide exceptional customer service, but he also clearly has a natural way of bonding with dogs. You can tell he's highly experienced and genuinely passionate about what he does. So, after we paddle board around Liberty station, we always finish with a self wash here at Groomer 19. They have 3 very clean and open self wash tubs. These spacious tubs have all the extra necessities. Towels, shampoo and conditioner and grooming products if desired. I use my own shampoo and have my fluffy pup out of there in 45 mins. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and I usually go during the weekdays to prevent any waiting. I am interested in their grooming services as well. Just haven't tried them yet. From what I gather, their pricing is pretty reasonable. Oh! And they have a good music selection as well.
