I have gone to them for over 3 years now…read more I KNOW he is a pain in the a** sometimes but the team has taken great care of him regardless. The staff does occasionally get restless with his barking, but that's mainly because he hates being alone. I work from home, so he's almost never alone. One thing I will suggest to any dog owner that has attachment issues and/barking issues, please consider giving them CBD/hemp oil to ease the stress on these groomers. I've been suggested trazodone, which I consider a pretty aggressive step, but it does get to a point where as an owner you need to be considerate of the people taking care of your dog. I am well aware my dog is not easy to take care of, but I hope this review reflects an honest appreciation for their effort and kindness to Toto. Toto is a Greenland Husky / Shepherd mix, and I get the complete package of Dog Grooming which includes deshed, bath, extra brushing, nail trim, and whatever else is listed on their page. Upon entering and signing in, they took her on a walk to let her get comfortable. They gradually built trust and also gave me a rundown of how short I would like her fur to be, as well as being transparent on how the matting for her poodle fur might cause the cut to be even shorter. I appreciated the headsup! Booking was easy and so was pickup. While it took longer than expected, they communicated with me and kept me updated, which is understandable knowing Onion's demeanor. We found another place we like for baths that is cheaper and cleaner. As for grooming, quality varied on the groomer. Overall, I was generally satisfied given the price and the relatively quick turnaround time of 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, the groomer who did the best job with our dog no longer works here. Today was the last straw. I made a grooming appointment for my dog (a rescue who understandably has a difficult time with grooming), weeks in advance. They refused to take him today because he was not medicated. I'm absolutely all for keeping the groomers and dogs safe, and I understand their reasoning. However, their lack of communication was extremely disappointing. No one informed us at our previous appointment or when we booked this appointment weeks ago that medication would now be required. Like many people, we have busy schedules and planned ahead specifically for this appointment. Rearranging everything at the last minute is not easy for us, and we cannot simply come in another day on short notice.

They'll ask the usual.. what style groom you have in mind! I like my dog to have the typical teddy bear cut. :) So cute! Keep the eyelashes etc. It took a few hours (as expected) and I was sooooo happy with Gigi's groom by Logan! Logan is so detail-oriented and sooo nice! When I came to pick Gigi up, he kindly came out to bring Gigi out! I also had Winston, (Gigi's bestie) with me since Winston was with us overnight for a pupsleepover! At the salon, they sell treats, dog clothing, dog bed, dog necklaces and shoes, and our fave, the dog cologne by Hydra USA! Logan used Forever Fresh on Gigi and it smelled amazing! I returned a week after to purchase it. There are many other amazing colognes too to choose from. Natashya and Randy assisted me at the front desk and they were so kind and welcoming! We will be back in the future and will also support at the new location! P.S. Parking - street parking with meters. There is a small lot on the left of the salon but I am unsure if those belong to the other businesses or if anyone can park. It's pretty easy though to find parking.

When I picked him up, he was visibly shaking -- a huge contrast from how happy and relaxed he usually is after grooming at other places. A few days later, I noticed white, flaky patches on his skin, which looked like dry scales -- possibly due to poor hygiene or rough handling. I was sure he'd at least need his tail shaved since it was just a tangle of mats. But The Barking Lot not only got him a next day appointment, but managed to turn him into this fluffy happy boy in barely an hour -- and at a very reasonable price. I had been hesitant about taking a rescue dog for grooming while he was still getting over the stress of the shelter, but they were so gentle and kind with him. When I picked him up, he was happy and wiggly and didn't seem stressed by the grooming -- and he seems so much more comfortable now!

So, after we paddle board around Liberty station, we always finish with a self wash here at Groomer 19. They have 3 very clean and open self wash tubs. These spacious tubs have all the extra necessities. Towels, shampoo and conditioner and grooming products if desired. I use my own shampoo and have my fluffy pup out of there in 45 mins. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and I usually go during the weekdays to prevent any waiting. I am interested in their grooming services as well. Just haven't tried them yet. From what I gather, their pricing is pretty reasonable. Oh! And they have a good music selection as well.
