I've been bringing my dog here for years, and for the longest time, this was one of my favorite grooming places. My groomer has always been incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cares about my dog. My dog absolutely loves seeing them, and that's the main reason I've continued coming back. Unfortunately, the front desk experience has gone downhill recently. There have been multiple occasions where my appointments were scheduled incorrectly, causing unnecessary inconvenience. I let those mistakes slide because I truly value the groomer and the quality of the grooming. However, my most recent experiences with a new receptionist have been very disappointing. She comes across as unfriendly, unwelcoming, and has a poor attitude toward customers. It's frustrating because it doesn't reflect the warm and caring atmosphere this business used to have. I sincerely hope management addresses the front desk issues because the grooming team is wonderful and deserves better support. I love City Dog! Allyson fantastic and is my dog Gigi's (@thegoodgirlgigi) groomer. We've been coming to her for about a year now. Allyson (@callingallpawss) is detail-oriented, highly experienced, and just fantastic overall! She always has a smile on her face! She's been consistent with her grooming and my dog loves her. The store itself is also pretty cool. They have a self dog wash (by appt only), plenty of dog food and treat varieties, toys, dog and cat clothing, harnesses, pet bling for harnesses and more. They have everything really. I live in the north county SD so I drive about 25-30 minutes to come here and don't mind making the drive since they're amazing. There is a loading zone around the corner usually park at for 5 minutes for when I drop-off/pick-up. Payment is card/applepay etc. Unsure if they accept cash but I'm hoping they do!
