Would not recommend. We hired them for weekly pool service and kept them for around 8 months before they 'quit' due to me calling them out for unprofessionalism. Specifically, I have security cameras on my driveway and pool so could see when they would come to service the pool. Many service visits would be less than 10 minutes. A couple months in to the service relationship, we experienced our first no-call-no-show. We received no email about the missed visit and so I inquired and asked for a refund for the missed week. They gave me a refund for that week. Then a few months later, it happened again. No email telling me why the visit was missed. I emailed them saying that it was unprofressional and I shouldn't have to be micro-managing, checking every week whether the service was done, and I expected a refund again for the missed week. The owner replied in a very defensive way, implying I had not read the service agreement sufficiently ... "As clearly stated in the agreement, our company observes four scheduled holidays, during which regular service does not occur. December 30 falls within that holiday period, so no service was scheduled for that week." However, after re-reading the agreement, it stated that the week of Christmas was one of the holiday weeks, and Dec 30 did not fall on that week. So the owner was flat out wrong about this. They also said that I "received at least two additional service visits beyond what is contractually included, at no charge ... those visits were provided as a courtesy" which not a reasonable excuse for missing a visit without notice. Ultimately, they stated "No services were missed that fall outside the terms of the contract, and no refund is due for the week in question" which is a false assertion. When I questioned the two courtesy visits (which I had not recorded myself), they stated one of them was "An additional service visit in July, resulting in five total visits that month." The service agreement clearly stated that I (the client) pay monthly, and the service we receive is weekly visits. So this "courtesy" visit was not actually a courtesy visit at all. It was an expectation. Finally they stated "to bring this service relationship to a clear and orderly conclusion, we will schedule your final service visit for [...]" which was a "you can't fire me because I quit!" way of handling it all. Rather than apologize to the customer for a missed visit, they: - got defensive and tried to imply I hadn't read the terms of my agreement - made false assertions Unprofessional and dishonest. Edit: The owner already replied to this review in the same tone used in the emails ... "your pool was consistently maintained in accordance with that agreement" ... it's almost as if they've been to small claims court before and now choose their words carefully to never imply wrongdoing. As it stands, I never received a service visit the week *after* Christmas even though I should have per the service agreement. Just know that if you hire this company, your experience will not be hands off. read more

This company was recommend to me by a dear friend, so I emailed Rick Beaubouef with photos of my pool along with specific questions and contact info for both my husband and I. The response I received, without a single phone call or communication was basically a copy and paste which started out thanking me for taking the time to meet him...Which led me to believe his entire spiel was a copy and paste as we never met or had a single conversation. The rest of the email contained a YouTube video, 1 testimonial and an actual contract to be signed along with my credit card information! Of course, I had more questions and responded. Days later after his vacation, he responded with more copy and paste and absolutely no answers to my questions. I then copy and pasted the question that he refused to answer and his response was the following: "Maintenance agreement with details and cost have been previously attached and are in this thread. Videos have been attached with explanations and expectations. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to accommodate any of your requests. I rescind the offer to serve you and wish you well in finding a service provider. Have a great summer." This response felt like it came from a petulant child and I had to laugh because you do not offer a service, clients PAY you to provide a service. Thank goodness Easy Pools is not the only pool maintenance company in town because if they were, I would gladly watch a YouTube video and not his, on how to maintain my own pool. If you want to deal with a professional company that has 5 stars and not 3.5, and that actually appreciates their clients, take my advice and contact Alex at Patriot Pool and Spa. read more

After I moved in, I emailed Rick and we easily scheduled my "pool school." Rick came out and walked me through everything I needed to know about how to care for my pool and equipment. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He didn't ask me to buy my supplies from him, but he made me want to. We just had our pool replastered and were really dissatisfied with Easy Pools. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks and it took 9 weeks. They started and then didn't show up for 3 weeks. They used the wrong plaster color, forgot to put the tiles on the steps and charged 50% more for water trucks than they quoted. I DO NOT recommend Easy Pools. read more

In addition to weekly and bi-weekly maintenance, we also offer general repair services" - so much for consistency in their offering I am glad to know they have enough business to turn away customers - good for them. Great technicians, but look out for hidden fees! The technicians have been very knowledgeable and easy to work with but keep in mind that recently in addition to the service charge ($90), they also add $25 to EVERY INVOICE to recover their Texas Franchise Tax. On top of that, they add 8.25% sales tax to the $25. The owner said he had to handle it this way since his margins were so tight. Considering the franchise tax is 0.5-1.0%, this makes no sense to me. If you're not making money, increase the prices, but please avoid the nickel and dime-ing! read more

Poor service. Pool wasn't skimmed, filters weren't cleaned out, pool vacuum bag wasn't emptied. Only chemicals dumped in pool. This happened on several occasions. I emailed several people at the company about my concerns, did not receive a reply from anyone. I had a question about charges on my bill...they were quick to respond to that...with sarcasm. Mixed success with Easy Pools. It seems that some technicians are fair in their pricing and others - not so much. We will not use them again based on our last experience. We were recently charged 2x the cost for a replacement pump. Now I understand that companies often mark up the price of parts but Jeez Louise we were charged twice as much as the pump cost at multiple resellers on the internet. The labor was also elevated. I guess since they knocked on the door and nobody answered that nobody was home. Well our nanny didn't answer the door because their guy pulled up in an unmarked white van and was a little freaked out. read more

Do NOT use easy pool for weekly service. They have turn over of employees and every week you'll have a different person show up who does NOT know what they are doing. They come for 2 minutes and call it a day. Their service guy stood on the coping in our hot tub and broke it. Then when we called them they tried to deny they broke it--even though it was witnessed when the guy fell in the pool because he broke it. They constantly leave our gate unlocked which is a huge liability! And today was the last straw. Another new guy came out and dumped a ton of chlorine into our salt water pool. The chlorine levels are off the charts worse than if we had shocked it. And on top of everything when you call them they will NEVER call you back. Save yourself Time, Aggravation and Money! Our pool was 12 years old and needed to be re-plastered. We got several bids and decided to go with Rick at Easy Pools and are glad we did. Rick was quick to respond with a bid and put us on the schedule much quicker than expected (about 10 days). The crew was efficient and did good work, completing the project within about 3 days time. I was first introduced to Easy Pools based on my previous pool service provider not being available to come and make a repair. (It was the beginning of the summer season and every company was swamped.) They put me in contact with Easy Pools, who arranged to have a service technician come out sooner than later because I was having guests in town over the weekend. I really appreciated their working to accommodate that need! Once they arrived, they were able to make the repair quickly and reasonably priced! The day after, I then experienced an unrelated issue. I will say that it did take several calls to ultimately get them to come back to take a look at this second problem, but when Joe Hernandez did come out, he was able to easily figure out the problem (motor had debris). He didn't charge us because he felt that this issue should have been recognized when they came to replace the start capacitor to begin with, because he made the repair with just the use of a screwdriver, as well as the fact that I had to place several calls before they ultimately came out. To add to the good customer service that I received, Leah, in their office, called me the next day just to be sure that everything had been resolved satisfactorily. Easy Pools resurfaced our pool and got it back into good shape after we purchased a home with a pool that needed a lot of TLC. It looks beautiful and clean now. Rick with Easy Pools has been absolutely amazing to work with and is so knowledgeable. He has gone above and beyond to help us learn how to take care of it (we had never owned a pool before) and checks in with us to see how things are going, even though he could have just walked away after doing the job. We were quoted on repairs and got a second quote that was HALF the cost. At the end of the year they "conveniently" find things that need to be fixed and invoices they claim weren't paid.
