The best food I've had in a long time. Get the fries and the egg rolls! The Buffalo quesadilla was huge.

The food left much to be desired. Our table of 7 ordered a variety of dishes such as the Rise and Shine, Country Breakfast Skillet, a pancake, and breakfast sandwich. The grits were watery with zero salt or butter. We tried to doctor them up by adding lots of salt and butter but it was useless The eggs had no salt or pepper although they do a nice job of cooking over easy eggs which some places fail at. Homefries, which were really hasbrowns, were mushy and bland. The pancake was dry. The bacon and toast were good.

Farm-Fresh Flavor with a Side of Small-Town Charm - Breakfast at The Farmer's Daughter in Urbana,…read moreOhio If you ever find yourself cruising through Urbana, Ohio with a hunger that only a hearty, home-cooked breakfast can satisfy, do yourself a favor and stop at The Farmer's Daughter. It's the kind of place where the biscuits are fluffy, the coffee's always hot, and the welcome is as warm as the griddle. This morning, we popped in for breakfast, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in good hands. That feeling was confirmed when Holly, our waitress, greeted us with a smile and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular--even if it's your first visit. I went all-in with The Hog Log, and let me tell you, this is not your average breakfast burrito. It's a hearty wrap filled with sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese, all rolled in a soft flour tortilla and smothered in rich, homemade sausage gravy. Every bite had that perfect balance of smoky, creamy, and savory flavors--and the gravy? Next-level delicious. My wife ordered Uncle Dave's Favorite Breakfast, which comes with your choice of pancakes or French toast, eggs done your way, a breakfast meat, and toast. She chose pancakes, bacon (crispy but not burnt), whole wheat toast, and eggs over medium. The pancakes were fluffy and golden, the bacon had that perfect crisp, and the eggs were cooked just right--firm whites with warm, runny yolks. It was classic comfort on a plate. The décor is classic country diner meets local charm--think rustic wood accents, sweet signs on the wall, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to slow down and savor the morning. Whether you're a local or just passing through Champaign County, The Farmer's Daughter is worth the stop. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the service--especially from folks like Holly--makes the experience even better. So go ahead, order the Hog Log. Or Uncle Dave's. Or both. You'll thank me later. Sorry my camera wasn't working so no pictures Take the Trip, your Next Adventure is waiting. #TakeTheTripByBrian

The food was the real shocker though. Everything was sooo good. The chicken soup was flavorful and well seasoned. Salad was fresh and used excellent feta and Kalamata olives. The tzatziki was great too. It was so good for lunch that I went back for dinner, and I NEVER do that. Go go go!!!!!

We started out sharing a few of their apps. The spicy feta dip was WONDEFUL, my friend's fire feta fries were a full meal (and more!) but my spanikopita was NOT the greatest, just a little triangle with barely any filling/taste. Luckily, we managed to save some room for our delicious meals... My falafel bowl was easily 2-3 meals, and included a generous portion of their homemade hummus... Yum!! My friend's chicken shwarma bowl also was super generous, with tons of fresh veggies and lots of well-seasoned chicken. We were both too full for dessert, but the choices look great!! Nothing fancy, authentic enough, Eat Greek is a super fresh, FAR from average "Field of Springs" chain restaurant option. Tons of choices, reasonable prices, this kind of variety is EXACTLY what Springfield needs !!
