I thought the food was very good, service excellent, bar staff attentive, management welcoming. My wife and I visited there for the first time last night in support of a friend, who was performing music there with his band. We arrived two hours early so that I could scope out a good location to shoot video of his set. My wife came over directly from work, so we decided to dine there, even though there was a big pot of my fabulous green chile pork stew sitting in the pressure cooker at home. My wife ordered a burger -- I forget which one, but it was pretty hefty and came equipped with a beer cheese that she absolutely raved about. I ordered a Cuban pork sandwich. The last time I had a good one was in Miami 8 years ago, and I believe most would agree that that's a long time to go without Cuban pork. The sandwich was excellent! I needed a doggy bag, though... because of... *those fries*. And I ain't big on carbs. Fries are generally an annoyance to me that usually go cold and remain on the plate when the waiter brings the check. But these were damned good fries. Beer-battered (somehow), and I will not rest until obtain their recipe. They're really that good! Couldn't stop eating them. And, oh yes -- their buffalo wings are also mighty fine appetizers. Mind you, my wife and I are food snobs who believe that our mastery of recipes are superior to most local restaurant fare, although that's not hard to do in Springfield, a town where Frisch's Big Boy and Golden Corral are considered a good night out by some (and too many). I think Raul(?) was our server. He didn't hover to such a degree that we wanted him to just go away, but he was there when we needed him. Hats off to the server. Every time I visited the bar, I was waited on within scant minutes. Hats off to the bartender that night. The manager came by to introduce himself to us. His wife sat down with my wife and conversed with her for almost a half-hour during a break in my friend's set. They genuinely seem to care about each individual customer experience. Two thumbs up, Buckeye! I don't care what the others say!

When the pasta dinner arrived I was surprised because it almost looked like a kids meal, the pasta was broken into small pieces about the size of the noodles you would see in Lipton noodle soup and the shrimp was cut up into small pieces, honestly I have never received a pasta dinner like this ever, it really seemed like a cut up child's meal. I did question the waitress about the dinner prior to ordering it to get her perspective since I had never ordered this at your restaurant before. The dish also lacked the flavor that was described on the menu. The other dinners we ordered were great. The pasta dinner was not worth the $18.95 price tag that I paid this evening. I did not complain or voice concern while at the restaurant because it was busy, I felt it would be rude to say something at that time. Our waitress did an excellent job tonight which we were thankful for.. I would appreciate a refund or credit for the price of the pasta dinner towards my next visit. The hamburger was 3 pieces of meat on a stale bun The chips were crumbs from the bottom of the bag 5. I was charged an extra dollar for the plain hamburger than what the menu listed (deluxe cheeseburger was $1 more) 6. I paid with a $20 bill for a $9.13 bill 7. The change I was given was 2 $5 bills (they just kept the $.87 change) I left a whole dollar tip and left! Other than poor service, poorly prepared burger, stale bun, bad chips, incorrect charge and incorrect change, everything was fine. I think they just want to sell pizzas!

The service wasn't terribly quick, but I did come in right after a large group of senior hotties. Service was polite, smart and friendly. I had the 4pc wings with coleslaw and potatoe salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the wings were good sized (not like the BW3 disappointment wings). The breading was light and golden as advertised. The sides were excellent too. Pleasantly surprised by everything, and the pricing was very reasonable, too.
