I really don't get the bad reviews. We got takeout because teenager was too tired to go out and 1. We had wine while we waited for our food and all the waiters were super nice and friendly. 2. The pizza was really great. Almost as good as in Italy. They have fantastic ingredients and a proper pizza oven. 3. Because I tragically can't have gluten, I had Gorgonzola and spinach risotto and it was delicious. The walnuts were a particularly nice touch. Excited to eat the leftovers tomorrow. 4. Kid said the tiramisu was some of the best he'd had and he is definitely an expert. 5. The Cesar salad was the only thing that was just ok. Overall, I think this place is excellent. Not recommended, especially if you're looking for a break from Mexican food. There food here was not what we expected. Chicken Cesar salad was smothered in store bought dressing and could not eat it. Caprese salad was just ok and could have been delish if ripe tomatoes were used. Calamari had no taste. Not what I expected from a restaurant that appears and was not a good Italian restaurant. I had lunch today with my mother and five year old daughter. It reminded me of an average Italian restaurant in the United States in a cool location with a good price point. We had a pitcher of sangria, a Fanta, a four cheese pizza, spinach and cheese ravioli, and a chocolate ice cream for my daughter. It was 775 pesos and we tipped 20%. I felt it was a good value for what we wanted - basic Italian food (my daughter really wanted pizza). The food was average to above average. Not authentic in my opinion, but good. Much better than at our all inclusive resort . The service was good for us. A bit of a wait at first but then the items came quickly. Staff was very nice to my daughter. Seafood completely disconnected from the dish and not fresh. Neither my wife and myself were able to finish our plates although we were starving. Given their high prices and high rent location you would think that they would invest even in minimally trained chef. Forced tip made this $75 dinner mistake. Sat down for a good 10-15 minutes no one came to check up or offered water. We had to wave someone down. Rainel took our orders although he advised he wasn't our waiter and didn't bother to write anything down while taking the order. Because he didn't write anything down, 2 different personnel had to come and clarify what we ordered. 40 minutes later and still no drinks yet...we walked out. No hard feelings for the workers but maybe management should work on better dinner rush execution because there was no sense of organization at all. read more

I think this is how these food taste like. It's similar to the restaurants in Italy. Service is excellent! They come and change dishes very often and so are the utensils even before i ask. Very friendly and courteous. One down side.. drinks. Just as other all you can eat places, drinks are not free and so is the refil. In 8 oz cup, 40 peso? I say that's quite pricy without refill. This was a great spot. I'm confused by the bad reviews. I did notice they quite old. We loved this place so much we went back a second night. I have nothing bad to say other than the lasagne could've been hotter. The penne alla vodka was delicious. As was the linguine with class. The clams do come in a shell which I didn't mind. Fettuccine. Bolongese is not my thing but the kids liked it. Pizza was also very good. Service is not the greatest but pretty good. Coming from NY we were patient. The place was pretty busy. Staff were all very nice. I would definitely recommend and return when back in that neighborhood. read more

I am surprised to see reviews that are not 4 and 5 stars for this restaurant. We were there for Thanksgiving and we figured why not try a bit of Italian food for a change. We ate outside where we watched the Thanksgiving football games on the tvs at the bar across the street. The food was awesome and my wife and kids were just so happy with the meal. We got great service and I just could not say enough good things about it. You might ask why I didn't give it a 5-star rating and that is because I ate there a while ago and can't remember what I had exactly. So my experience was tainted from the first thing I ordered: Ice to go with my Pellegrino. The cup smelt of...toilet water. Instant appetite changer but I thought I'd just drink from the bottle. Then after I ordered a Caesar salad, the four cheese fusilli and a pepperoni pizza. The lettuce in the salad was huge and maybe cut simply in into half leaves, the cheese in the pasta maybe didn't melt correctly because it was milky yet chunky at the same time, and the pizza got soggy extremely too quick. Giving it two stars cause the location was right around the corner from my hotel and that was convenient but otherwise (most likely in your case) I'd look at other locations. read more

This place is amazing with fantastic service. I had the pasta with assorted seafood. I've had this identical meal in Rome and let me say this place rivals that. The shrimp and mussels were cooked to perfection. The clams and and octopus were very tender without being chewy. These people take pride in their craft and it shows in every bite you take.
