    Margherita pizza

Margherita pizza is delicious, even better if you add garlic and olive oil. They will even deliver to close by hotels and even beach side. The grilled octopus is superb as well as the brownie with ice cream.

Visitors from Canada!! Ate at Coco Cabanas last night. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!! If I could give 10 stars I would! Mario our waiter was pleasant, friendly, attentive and fun!! The food was to die for! Chicken fajitas and margaritas were super yummy! Great music. Fun atmosphere. Unbeatable prices! Off the beaten path but our taxi driver found it! Miguel the manager was also super friendly and nice! Go eat here!!! You won't be disappointed!!

I stayed in Playa del Carmen at a different hotel down the beach for a week and had dinner at Coco's a few times. If you're coming from the beach you will need to walk past rundown building with dogs in the area, but it is worth the adventure! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is amazing. I would definitely suggest getting the seafood cordon blue.

Great place to eat! Especially if you're looking for bigger and tastier options than what you might find at a resort. Came in with my partner and we ordered a few items on the menu (chicken fajitas, all-meat pizza, margherita pizza, a mango & rum drink specialty with some liquid tangy spices). We definitely could not finish it, but we had leftovers for the night and the next day! The pizzas were pretty big, had fluffy bread and a good amount of marinara sauce; the chicken in the fajita plate was seasoned pretty well as well as the the rice so I would go ahead and bet that their other pizzas are probably as good. FYI - It was hard to find/get to. Since we were staying at the Fives, we had to walk through the beach and pass a couple of other resorts, then make a left on this empty path, and since we did not see a clear way to get to the restaurant (we were on the other side of the fence), we had to climb a broken fence a la parkour parkour. Imagine carrying back boxes of leftover pizza on a hot day, climbing over a broken fence that was not steady in place, and then walking through the sandy beach to get back to the resort. Just, be ready to get sandy and tired on the way there. Definitely worth it though since it was the best meal we had while on vacation. On a random note, the decoration is a little weird and featured in the middle of the restaurant is a tiny pool...so yeah....Also, be aware that you might get bitten by mosquitos a few times so if you have your bug spray make sure to apply it everywhere, but you will be in the shade so at least you won't have to worry about roasting while you eat.

This place is literally located in a hidden part of an alley, we were a bit nervous going here. This place is really nice. The food is delicious and the service is great. We'll come back again! Get the lobster tail pizza, you won't be disappointed!

I guess they weren't prepared for it to be this busy on a Wednesday night. The food was all really good, except for the fish. It was grilled well but tasted a bit dry. Only the top of the fish that was covered in sauce had flavor but it didn't seep through to the bottom of the fish. I recommend getting the Seafood Ceviche because they make it with coconut milk, which was different from all the other ceviches we had on our trip. Other than the slow service, this was a good experience. Seafood Ceviche 9/10 Crispy Jumbo Shrimps 9/10 Soft Shell Crab Taco 9/10 Fresh Catch of the Day (half garlic butter, half ictio) 7/10

Then came the whole fried fish -- crispy, golden, incredibly fresh, and topped with fresh onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and a charred lime on the side. It was so delicious I could barely put my fork down! The owner himself came out to check on us -- so kind, humble, and genuinely passionate about his food. Everything is made with the freshest local ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The flavors are bright, authentic, and unforgettable. ICTIO is an absolute must. This is the kind of meal you'll remember and tell everyone about.

OMG... there was paella more for like 4 lol.. so much seafood, fish, squirrel, shrimp, oysters and clams... we walked out of there stuffed. Amazing food, super fresh, made on the spot. Yes it might take a minute to get it but hey you're getting it made right there not just heated up. Margaritas were good too and the place was nice and super quiet. If lobster is your thing, then I think you can pick your dinner too :) there were a few fresh ones in the tank right behind us. Say hi Mr lobster before you turn into someone's succulent meal. Recommend the paella.. for 260 pesos a meal for 2 you cannot go wrong.. talk about cheap seafood.

It was early/late afternoon and not many people were in the restaurant. The folks there spoke good English and had an English menu. There was a larger party near us and they definitely had a good time. They ordered ceviche, fried fish, etc and they were able to choose the fish they wanted! How cool is that. The server basically comes over with a tray of fresh fish and you just pick one...or two. We went with a paella because it looked good. It was definitely smaller than the picture. The crabs were a bit small too so you don't get any or much meat. But overall the taste was not too shabby. Perhaps a ceviche would've been better but we already had some earlier in our Mexico trip. Fairly priced, off a few blocks west of the crazy busy touristy street which is nice. Definitely will come back next time I'm in the area.
