Luck find on road trip. We were greeted as we came in and were promptly seated. They have plenty of space to seat small and large groups. The servers were friendly and took care of our requests. The only complaint is that they won't make the food spicy enough when I order on the phone. Decent little Thai place. Pad See Ew with tofu was a little bland but not the worst I've ever had. Fresh spring rolls or a little sloppy and had egg in it. I wasn't a fan of the egg so I took that out. Had a good mix of lettuce and basil as well as some sprouts. I would've liked them to be a little tighter wrapped to hold them together, but this is an art form. Stopped for a lunch! Nice place tucked away in a strip mall. Dining room is plain but nice tables & chairs, as well as booths. Started with crab Rangoon. Light & tasty, but pricey. Sis had her favorite, cashew chicken with level 3 spice. The waitress made sure she understood that three was pretty spicy. Hubby had pad Thai with beef and based on other yelp reviews, asked for extra which was a three dollars up charge. He was glad he did. I had fried rice with beef. I had the level one spice and it really wasn't quite enough heat. I thought it was a rather plain tasting dish, similar to what I would make it home. I did add soy sauce. Eat Thai is a hidden gem located in a strip mall. I had to try it after many recommendations and I was not disappointed. As you enter into the quaint restaurant, I received a warm greeting. I decided to try the Pad Thai with beef, a classic and my go to at any Thai restaurant. My order was ready within 10 minutes showcasing their efficiency and dedication to serving quality food. The food stayed warm on my ride home which I appreciate. The Pad Thai was delicious and flavorful but it left me desiring more of the succulent beef that I had anticipated. The lack of beef left me with a sea of noodles which was disappointing. I will definitely be requesting extra meat next time. Eat Thai's Thai options are good, but not always memorable. In a town with a fair amount of Thai eateries, there is no stand out or signature Thai dish that draws me back. I've had good luck with all of the appetizers, though (Mmmmm, Thai dumplings....). Their what I would call Chinese-with-a-Thai-Twist dishes, on the other hand, are quite tasty and are good enough to keep me coming back. The Pepper and Garlic comes to mind: choice of meat sautéed with cilantro (none in mine, please. I'm one of those people) and garlic in black pepper sauce, topped with fried garlic. I went for lunch with my parents. we had spring rolls and crab delights to start. the crab delights don't have the sweet filling that I prefer. they are nicely wrapped up into beautiful works of art. the sauces were wonderful.each appetizer had a different sauce. the spring rolls were delicious. for entrees, I was torn between pad thai and pad see ew. I always get PSE. so I went against my better judgment and tried the pad thai at a 3. thepad thai was red, I've never seen red pad thai. my mom ordered pad thai with 0 spice, Steve had orange chicken. my mom asked them to remake hers because it was to spicy. they begrudgingly did, it still had paprika in it, that's what makes it red. not sure why you would still put that into when someone says NO spice.she still couldn't eat it. Steve's orange chicken was ok. not a lot of flavor in the sauce. we both agreed a 2 would be sufficient for the heat level, but we both like spicy. I would not order the pad thai again. I hope no one spit in my mom's meal because I'm feeding it to my 2 year old grandson for lunch today. I ordered take out from this place a while ago. I went to pick up and it was good just missing some sides I'm used to. Also most places give you lime, lemon and offer sauces for it. I had to ask for a side of chili sauce and it had no zest so I was a bit sad about that. I love lemon/lime with my fried rice especially when adding a bit of chili to it. We had another wonderful meal at Eat Thai, Thai Eatery yesterday afternoon. It has been awhile since we've been back but I had a strong craving for some authentic "Lad Nah" or "Rad Nah" and I knew Eat Thai would not disappoint. Lad Nah is a delicious wide-rice noodle dish with a stir-fry gravy sauce on top. What makes Eat Thai's the most authentic in town is the wok-charred noodles and the light gravy yet perfectly seasoned flavors. If I order hot (spicy), they deliver it hot! If there's one dish you should try here, it's this dish. We also ordered Thai Fried Rice with chicken and no green onions for the babes. It was just as delicious as I remembered. My middle son wanted Orange Chicken and he said it was almost his top favorite (Shanghai being his fave). It was light and crispy with perfect orange flavors. We also ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken which was served piping hot and creamy. I was just so full that I barely got to eat any. The last dish we ordered was the Panang Beef. It was sweet, creamy and saucy. If you haven't been to Eat Thai, make the trip. Aom and her staff are amazing and make you feel like family. The deco is classy. Food is great: the appetizer sampler is fresh and crisp. The seafood soup is full of flavor; Pri King (chicken and green beans dish) was spicy as we ordered. Our kids had pineapple fried rice and it was perfect. I think they are very good cook. Our waitress is very sweet and supports my environmental-friendly efforts, she said she had worked there for 7 years. In all a very good place for a weekend dinner. (Ps. Solid 4. Quite an extensive menu for online ordering. Once you select an entree the protein and degree of heat will come up- most places I go with hot, because I like hot. I start with medium to get an idea of what hot would be like for the next time. In this case medium = sweat above the brow and my taste buds have stripped naked, hot. It was a fair trial of menu items- crab delights, Thai dumplings, surf and turf fried rice and panang curry with chicken. According to mom, "those are the best crab things I have ever had." The surf and turf fried rice "could use more sauce it got a bit dry." Everyone agreed the Panang curry was hot, but had good flavor. The Thai dumplings were a mixed bag- definitely need the special soy sauce. Good enough to peak our tastebuds and try more items on the vast menu of options. read more

My new favorite local Thai option. We got takeout, ordering with their easy and efficient online ordering system. We were able to customize and order our heat level. We live about 10 minutes away, and our food was hot, exceptionally fresh, and delightfully tasty. My wife got mild heat and that was plenty for her. I got the hot....and I do like it hot, and that was just right for me. I might have been able to go to very hot, but to quote Goldilocks, this was 'juuuust right'; based on this, I'd reccomend you only go for the Thai hot if you are SURE you can handle it. We ALSO both appreciated they have rice options, including brown, which is what we both prefer. My wife got the Fresh N' Gingerly and I got the Spicy Basil Beef. The flavors on both were sooo fresh and right on point with what you'd hope for. My beef was super tender and flavorful. My wife's chicken was tender and juicy. This spot does some good work in covid-19 prevention. you can't sit down inside but it makes it pretty easy to call in and order and pick up your order and be gone. the staff are all masked up. The potatoes in it were not cooked. There was a lack of curry flavor. Sure, it was spicy hot, but the curry flavor was weak. Pad Thai was bland and the noodles were all broken up. This is a lovely, small business with terrific food. It's located in a strip mall and is very low-key, with simple decor and about 15 tables. We were here around 6 pm on a Saturday night and had no trouble getting a table, but business was brisk. We had the fresh summer rolls, which were large and full of veggies, with two sauces (peanut and something that was fruity but not overly sweet). I had the pineapple fried rice and SO had the pad thai, both of which were generously portioned and very tasty. We asked for one star spicy, which turned out to be about 1/2 a star spicier than our wimpy midwestern taste buds could handle! The server was very attentive and kind - spotted our water needs and kept it coming. It tasted and felt like baby mush. I eat Thai food all the time (on the east coast) so I thought it would be a standard/simple dish in Iowa but boy was I wrong. I have no idea how someone could rate this place above a 2. I honestly would give it a 1.5 because it was ready fast and it was only 8min from my hotel. RECENTLY DISCOVERED, QUICKLY FAVORED! My dad is Thai, I've been there and back, and the food here is soooo comforting! It's light and flavorful, and very classic- in a good way! The rad nah became a quick favorite of mine simply because they fry their noodles CRISPY! Like what?! I've never, in all my years, had the noodles crispy and it was life changing. The crab delight is their version of the crab rangoons but they use a thinner paper so its extra crispy. The spring rolls are actually called "summer rolls" here and they're delicious! They cook their eggs in VERY hot oil and it becomes fragrant and puffy and just SO GOOD! The space is kind of small so big groups be aware and call first! The few times I've been there it seemed as if they stay constantly busy with take out orders so it's definitely something to consider! PLEASE go check this place out! You'll love it! read more

I just had my order delivered. I've not taken a bite of this yet, but I already have a very bad impression. The Teriyaki chicken is described on the menu as marinated chicken with steamed broccoli. When I opened the container I observed three small pieces of broccoli. That is all that was included in my order. It's pathetic and disappointing. I expected better from a restaurant with such a high rating. Edit to add: it was also inedible. The chicken tasted and looked like it was purchased pre-cooked and thrown in some sauce. It was overcooked, dry, and tough. I have nothing good to say about the chicken. The sauce was okay. The rice was good, but it's pretty hard to mess up rice.
