    Teriyaki Chicken

This place offers pretty satisfying food with great volume for price. Quick service and friendly staff. They seem to be closed at night and weekends, but if I'm back here during weekday lunch time, I'll come back!

I thought this was going to be typical food court food but I was wrong. Small menu but mostly cooked to order. I ordered teriyaki chicken which came with veggies and rice for $7.85 and the drink was $2.50. This is generally more than I like to pay for lunch but the quality was worth it.

It's my go to for a good casual teriyaki lunch. Prices are a bit steep but I'm fully satisfied with the food. It's your standard food court teriyaki with all the sriracha and hot sauce fixings that you'd like. Lines can get long when you wait for the lunch hour at 12. I'm pretty sure this is the most popular stand at local bites

After a long time I went back to the new food court on locust St. This is the second time I'm eating at teriyaki boys. The quantity served is good. I would say it's non-spicy teriyaki. I got the beef chicken shrimp teriyaki for $10 which is a good price but the taste is blunt. No spicy at all. May be next time I should ask them to spice it up. It can be a regular eating place.

I got the "lunch special" which was the chicken teriyaki, veggies, fried rice, and a fountain drink for $12.

The food was plentiful and very good. The gluten free pancake was made out of rice flour. It was dense but still good. I personally like my sausage on the very well done side so they switched out my sausage from the one pictured. Went back for dinner and got the Half Roasted Chicken with Lemon Pan Sauce with the mini lavey mocktail. The dish was great. The greens had a bit of crunch to them. If I could change anything, I would get the sauce on the side. It was a bit overpowering but did not ruin the dish. I felt that the dish was seasoned well on its own. The mini lavey was *fine*. I wouldn't get it again. It was overpriced for the size and the taste was just fine. Service was 10/10. Bathrooms clean. Well decorated.

They have a decent inside with several little areas that are semi closed which would make this a good place for group functions. The patio outside is pretty big. There is a variety of table sizes, so large parties can be accommodated. They also have several fire pit areas for groups. The inside has 2 large bar seating options. There are plenty of TVs inside and outside in case you are looking for a place to watch sports.

We saw there were a few table so we decided to try it with the intention to be quick. Boy am I glad we did! Started with the sunrise juice, a carrot juice blend and the homemade strawberry lemonade both were so fresh and delicious. We tried the brown sugar and cinnamon pop tart and that was heaven in my mouth. So much flavor and goodness. I ordered the limoncello French toast and it is a slice of fresh baked lemon bread made into French toast. The flavors were rich and the texture was fluffy. A must try while it's in season. Others got the turkey and avocado Benedict and the pancakes with eggs and bacon. All cooked to perfection. Our server Jess was so nice and we did tip her well for being so last minute, but to our credit we were out of there at 6 mins after closing while everyone was still working to close up. Its fine on a nice day, but sucks if its extra warm or super cold. I know this isnt the fault of the restaurant, but the building owners . The ambiqnce is fine, if its busy it get a little louder than I'd like. Maybe some strategically placed sound dampening tiles? Located in a…read morestrip mall at the corner of Grand and EP True (by the HyVee), the decor is nothing special but it was light and bright inside. We were greeted and asked if we were dining in (it appears they do a brisk takeout business) and were told to sit where we wanted. It was surprisingly crowded for a Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. The menu is extensive and hubby and I both like Mediterranean food. I chose the Falafel plate, served with five falafel balls, hummus, a pita, and Greek salad. The portion was generous (ended up taking two falafel home). Served with tahini and their house green sauce (olive oil, cilantro, and jalapeño) It wasn't spicy but it was so delicious - I could get addicted to this thinking of all the other ways so could enjoy it!! The Greek salad was served with house dressing - garlic and yogurt, also very good. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and flavorful. The hummus was not at all grainy - smooth but just a tad bland. Hubby had the lamb skewers and liked them very much. Served with rice, salad, and hummus. He also took one of the skewers home. We both had the mango Fresca juice. A bit too sweet for me but I generally drink unsweetened beverages. Hubby liked it a lot. Service was friendly and we were checked on twice to ask how we liked our food. Generous portions, friendly service, good food, but not inexpensive (with tip, $55 for two) but what is inexpensive these days?? We enjoyed reading the story of the couple who started this restaurant, and I'm glad we finally had a chance to try it?

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They were a little busy, so service wasn't always the fastest, but everyone was very friendly. My mom ordered the meatballs and the corn soup. Unfortunately, both dishes were much spicier than she expected, and she wasn't able to eat much of either. The staff was so understanding and kindly removed them from our bill, which we really appreciated. She then ordered the fig and pear bruschetta, and she really enjoyed the combination of the fruit, cheese, and bread. The only thing that surprised us was the onion bread--it had a strong fried onion flavor, almost like onion rings, which wasn't really our favorite. I ordered the fettuccine. The pasta was cooked al dente, but the flavor was very underwhelming. It was silky and creamy in texture, but honestly, it didn't taste like much. It mostly tasted like parsley and almost watery, and some of the noodles were stuck together. I added Parmesan hoping it would help, but I was still searching for flavor the entire meal and never really found it. The texture was nice, but I wouldn't order this dish again. The food came out in about 15 minutes, which was pretty quick. Overall, while the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff provided excellent service, the food just wasn't for me. I also noticed that several dishes leaned on the spicy side, so if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend asking if they can make it milder or choosing something else. Personally, I don't think I'd come back, but I truly appreciated how kind and accommodating the staff was throughout our visit.
