We used to call this place Eat'n Puke as it was a typical late night stop after drinking. They used to have a midnight buffet on weekends which was absolutely killer. Fast forward many years (it's too painful to type the number) and it's still a pretty good spot. They still have a salad bar with rotating soups (Thursday is wedding soup, the best one they currently have). Their chicken noodle soup is on tap a few days of the week and is a good homestyle version. I think they use Turner's Cottage Cheese too (unless they switched). I ordered the Cheesesteak which is not traditional authentic Philadelphia in any way whatsoever, but man was it delicious. The potato pancakes were a good addition to the sandwich too. Get their ranch for dipping! I didn't get desserts on this visit, but they have some decent options. Smiley cookies anyone? With Frownies out of the picture (RIP Kings), this is the only local "family restaurant" chain around. read more

This is a pretty good EatnPark. Even when it's crowded the waits aren't long. They were very patient with my grandmother and I really appreciate it. It has standard EatnPark fare. As soon as she sees us, she puts our drinks on the table - we have a wonderful rapport with her - she is efficient, kind and caring. Knows our every need before we ask. The food was horrible and over priced for the quality. The onion rings were so hard, I should have sent them back and because there was a dollar up charge. The cheese on the cheese fries had the dark skim part of the cheese slim from sitting around getting hard - really gross - who's paying attention to detail??? The service was good. Newly remodeled so nice, but why can't someone wipe the crumbs off the bench seats. It is not Eat'nPark's fault that the DoorDash driver picked up the wrong order, nor is it Eat'nPark's fault that DoorDash would not refund or credit our account because the food was already delivered. However, Eat'n Park was paid for our order, so when we called the restaurant to see if they could remake our order (two salads and a fish sandwich) manager Noah said no--they can't just give food away for free. Noah apparently checked with someone else too, and they okayed his decision But again, they had been paid for our order and we had no food. We had ordered our dinner because my wife has a broken foot and I am recovering from a respiratory illness. Given that they had been paid and given customer service, general decency and kindness should sometimes prevail, it would have nice had Noah and his corporate backers would have been able to help us out. Mind you, this review is not about the quality of food. It's about the quality of those serving it, and that is disappointing read more

Several of us stopped in for a late lunch on a weekday while doing business in the area. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was in decent condition and somewhat clean. The restroom was decent and clean. The salad bar wasn't necessarily kept stocked and clean though. The soups were watered down; the chili was mostly some sort of watery broth, though it smelled decent. The cream of broccoli was mostly milk and hardly had any broccoli in it. I'm not sure what the third soup was, but it looked too watered down too and only two of the three soup tops had knobs to open them, this definitely needs to be addressed! The salad bar had a lot of cross-contamination going on - Things from one container spilled into the container next to it and the tongs being down in the bowls, like with the lettuce, so the part of the tongs people touch are now touching the food - YUCK! Overall, I typically do like thee joints for the soup and salad, but this visit was disappointing. I'd still return in the future, maybe it was a one-off? Regardless, better oversight and management is needed. read more

It looked better inside than it did 20 years ago when I last ate there. I was surprised they had a drive thru I guess you can order ahead. I had the salad bar it was $7.99 which included all you can eat soup and salad. It was a pretty big selection of vegetables, fruit and 3 soups. They must of been really busy because it was pretty messed up. My waitress was really nice I didn't get desert but there Famous for there strawberry pie. Let's be honest- no one is going to eat n park for a fine dining experience. You're going there for consistency and basic comfort foods. The appeal is in knowing that you can get the same meal at any location. Unfortunately, the NH location doesn't stack up to the others in the area. The staff who work here are not polite or friendly, and the salad bar is not stocked. The past two times I have been here, it was thirty minutes late to be set up (noon insurgent of 11:30- I called ahead to be sure we would have time to feed our toddler in between dr appts) and lacking basics including peas, muffins, and pudding. When I asked for these things, which should have been included in the price i paid, I was charged extra for them. Not impressed. read more

This review is for the Natrona Heights restaurant. Had dinner here recently. It was around 5 pm and not busy. We had a great waiter. Dinners were good, the salad bar was not. For starters, the lettuce in both bowls was dry and brown like it had been sitting all day. Neither bowl had very much in it either. We ended up picking pieces out that weren't brown. The ham bits were not fresh as well as other items. You can tell they had been on the bar several times or weren't being rotated as needed. The muffins on the end were hard. I think they may have been from breakfast and sat there all day. And lastly, the chicken noodle soup which has always been a favorite. It no longer has a taste, at any of the Eat and Park restaurants. Shouldn't the broth be a yellow color and the smell be of chicken? It now has no color nor smell. If you head to dinner and are going to have the chicken noodle soup, I suggest you take a chicken bouillon cube to throw in for flavor. I'm not sure how I feel about our local chain anymore. Close to home, and signature smiley cookies since I was a baby! No restaurant like it on the west coast. I love their buffet or choices on the menu. It's always comfortable inside, and great for family dinners. Even the kids menu is very filling! Huge choice of appetizers, desserts, and breakfast/lunch/dinner choices. Staff is friendly! Last night we were deciding between Chinese or Eat'n Park, should have went with Chinese food... Now, don't get me wrong - I love Eat'n Park; however, this location must be understaffed. When we walked in, my friend saw his friend and she told us that she was waiting for a To-Go order and that no one had even acknowledged her. The people in front of us were sat then we were sat and still no one paid any attention to her. Sure, that isn't my personal experience but I'm just letting it be known - if a customer is standing there, acknowledge them. Without customers, there is no business. Back to my experience... As I said, we were sat and we waited about five minutes before our waitress came over. She came over, set down silverware and napkins and said she would be right back.. Five minutes later she returns and asks what we would like to drink, (thankfully we knew what we wanted to eat, thinking this would speed up the process) I got a milkshake & water, my friend got Pepsi or Coke, whichever it may be. She came back with my milkshake and nothing else.. I had to walk up to her and remind her that we needed our other drinks.. Half n hour later our food came. Point is, we waited for a while and the service wasn't the best.. I get it, I'm a server but you've got to be attentive and this Eat'n Park lacks that quality.. My husband and I just relocated to this area from San Diego Ca. When we were in Pennsylvania years ago visiting, we would stop at an Eat'n Park for a quick bite. It was a decent place to eat. So....I wanted to revisit the restaurant chain to see how much it has changed. Food wise, it really hasn't changed any, but, I was REALLY disappointed when I asked for a slice of carrot cake that was on special for $2.00. I thought, oh, that will be a nice dessert for my husband and I to share when we get home. I don't know who they are saving the cake for, but, it isn't the customers. I was/am totally disappointed and disgusted with the "Sliver" that I paid $2.00 for. It is barely a bite for my husband!! Just because it is on special doesn't mean you downsize your portions. I used to eat here all the time. I moved away but came back for a visit. The table we were sat at was DISGUSTINGLY sticky. And when I asked the waitress to wipe it down she gave me a dirty look. I also didn't realize they don't have a salad bar anymore. We waited over an hour for our food and when it finally came my order was messed up and my fries were cold. I ordered unsweetened tea and ended up with sweet tea :( I requested something else. (Which I was charged for 2 drinks). The waitress was very unprofessional and her hands looked dirty. I went here once and I lost the aglet from my shoelace somewhere around the salad bar. The food was excellent and I loved my server but I lost my aglet. There are 3 Eat'n Parks in this area, and this one is the best. The food is pretty much the same here as it is at any other location, but the service makes this one so much better. The service is friendly and fast. There's one server in particular who works in the early afternoon that is especially friendly; calls everybody honey.
