Located in a strip mall, it offers ample parking and plenty of room to sit in its dining room. Order your pizzas, subs and wraps at the counter. They utilize fresh ingredients and if you care to watch, the kitchen is easily within view. I've eaten here many times over the years. While the servers change, the product is consistent. It will cost a bit more than your national chain stores but it is a good product. I prefer the subs and wraps over the pizza; however, I have noticed their pizza taste seems to have improved over time. Obviously, pizza is a very personal thing, so I'll just spell out why we like this place, and we recommend that you give it a try. Our recommendations are pretty much based on the Calumet location, but we have had pizzas from the Northland location and they were just as good. We don't like all of their pizza combos, but have some big favorites. Paula's Perfect is awesome (a supreme type pizza.) FIRST, they are very consistently good, every time. SECOND, the toppings are generous, including the cheese. I love a cheesy pizza and don't even have to order extra. Vegetable toppings are nice and fresh. THREE, I really like the sauce. Sauce is very personal, but this one does it for me. FOUR, they seem flexible and willing to please. We usually order a supreme type pizzas with no onions, and they have allowed us to switch it out the onions for a different vegetable without any grief. They are also glad to put items on just 1/2 of a pizza. FIVE, The staff is very friendly and fast. There's never any attitude, nor a long wait. Basically, the pizza is ready when they say it's ready. (I usually order it baked, but you can bake it at home.) SIX, you can make your own personalized "supreme" pizza by ordering the King's Special...you get to pick 5 ingredients. SEVEN, it's clean. We've NEVER had anything questionable on one of our pizzas, and the locale is clean, as well. We don't eat there much, it's not that comfortable, but for a weeknight quick stop, it's fine. If I had to remove a star, it would probably be for the crust. This is a typical "cracker" thin crust that has been served on ready-bake pizzas in this area for decades. (Chef Fresh Pizza in Menasha used the same crust....I used to work at Chef Fresh, and the stamped crusts came from a Pizza Supplier in the Midwest.) If you don't care for that crust, you probably won't like this pizza. If you like a pan, or hand-tossed pizza, this may not be for you. However, I eat low carb and often just eat the topping right off the crust. The sauce doesn't blend into the crust, so it makes it very easy for me to enjoy all the topping. (Before I was low carb, I ate the crust and I DO like it, but my husband isn't wild about it.) I order it extra well done, because I like it to get quite crisp. Their subs are very good, you can pile them high with all the veggies for no add'l charge and pretty much get any condiment on them. If you are low carb, you can get any sub in the form of a salad. That is a great deal, it's a big, meaty salad for the cost of the small 6" sub. Very fresh veggies. Finally, if you are on a budget, the one topping pizza with pepperoni or sausage is really a cheesy, tasty delight. I've always been more of a pepperoni person over sausage, but this place has great sausage and I prefer it over their pepperoni on the one topper.
