I have been visiting from out of town, long travel day, along with alot of driving. I ordered online (via Google). I ordered a sandwich and full salad, and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. Additionally, I'm staying in Appleton, and didn't realize my order was in Oshkosh. I called let the restaurant know I would be a bit delayed, and they stayed for me briefly after they closed. So, when I decided to grab a quick bite from Potbelly's in Oshkosh, I had fairly high expectations. And for the most part, they delivered. I opted for the Mediterranean sandwich, a personal favorite, and decided to indulge in a cup of the chicken pot pie soup. Ordering was a breeze; the staff was friendly and efficient, even during what seemed like a mini lunch rush. The to-go packaging was sturdy and kept everything relatively warm, which is always a plus when you're trekking back to the office. The Mediterranean sandwich was, as usual, pretty darn good. The fresh vegetables, the tangy feta, and the flavorful hummus all melded together perfectly. The bread, toasted to a golden crisp, held its own without getting soggy, which is a common pitfall for to-go sandwiches. I was really excited to try this place, from the comments I've heard about them. I had placed an order online for delivery. After the order was placed, I had noticed it had switched it to pick up. Which I unfortunately couldn't do. I called the store and the gentleman on the phone told me he could switch it to delivery no problem but they were in the middle of a rush that he'd call me back in 20 mins. 30 mins later, I got a call back from a different guy who told me there was no way to switch it. He was very rude about it. I opted to cancel the order, since I couldn't leave to pick anything up and he hung up on me. Worst customer service and I was still charged the 25.00 for an order I never received. read more

Very good. I was immediately struck by the quality of the ingredients. I had the Turkey club. Excellent Turkey, the best bacon I've ever had, and good melted cheddar (could use more personally). I was skeptical looking at the bread on the counter but I guess it gets toasted and was well rejuvenated. My wife had tuna I thought it tasted funny but she said it was white tuna therefore drier than I'm used to. Chocolate malt was good, very rich but not annoyingly thick. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. He and my wife, did not get my humor when I ordered her a mushroom melt and a banana shake though. Restroom spotless. Dining room hotter than hades. Quick. To go is wax paper and paper bags, environmentally conscious (thank you) but kinda messy. read more

We stopped in while on our way through town. I'm not a big sub eater. I can go to the grocery store and buy bread and meat and enjoy it just the same BUT, I really enjoyed the food here. The bread was really good, toasted but not crunchy. The meats were really good. I had the pizza sub. My wife had soup and a sandwich and enjoyed her soup more than the sandwich but still all good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised the store was empty though at 4:30 in the afternoon. read more

This was our first visit to any Potbelly Sandwich Shop. The dining room was clean and nicely decorated. The menu is pretty extensive for a restaurant with sandwich shop in its name; doesn't really do it justice. We liked most everything about it, except the value. We had the Gyro Flat. A good tasting sandwich but nothing special for $7.40. The malts were served in a 16 oz cup but were partially filled, say 14 oz. Again they were good but nothing special for $3.55. Add one bag of chips and the meal was $24.36 for the two of us. Bottom line. A nice place but overpriced. read more

Drove up from Libertyville Il to do our annual Hughes Chocolate Easter buy. And as always, we stop at Potbelly's to have lunch before heading back. This year as we entered the store, we were greeted with warmest welcome. That welcome came from the store Mgr. Tom. While ordering our order, we also chatted about the famous Hughes Chocolate. He had never heard of Hughes nor had ever tried the chocolates, So out to my car I went and broke into my stash to give him some samples. We left before he was able to savor the "best chocolate" and give us his opinion! But I already knew the answer. But, before we left, he was ever so kind and gave us complimentary sandwich coupons that are also good in Illinois. As a matter of fact, I used one today! Really tasty sandwiches here. I love the bread, and that's probably my favorite part about the food at potbelly. The staff is friendly and helpful when you're unsure of what to get. Whatever you get though is going to be fresh and satisfying. My only complaint is you can't see the ingredients to choose from, but just see them written on a sign. No big deal, just a personal preference. If you're looking for someplace to grab a quick lunch this is a good choice. read more

Since I moved to Oshkosh 4 months ago I've been here twice. The first time they forgot my Mac and cheese. The second time I came in from a walk outside (the weather has just started warming up) and I forgot a mask. I was refused service, and when I asked if they had a spare mask, I was told no. I was told I had to order over the phone and walk in and pick it up. What I don't understand is that I could sit in the dining area without my mask and order over the phone but could not walk in without a mask? I really don't care about requiring a mask but if someone forgets one they should have spares to offer. I ended up going to a different dine in restaurant that served me AND offered a mask right at the entrance, just like BWW, Red Robin, Pick N Save, etc. I won't be patronizing again. read more

I have celiac disease (the actual kind- it's definitely not a choice for me to live with a gluten free diet) and I walked in unsure of what I could get. I asked the guy at the counter what salad options were gluten free and he started searching for a menu. The guy behind him (who appeared to be doing absolutely nothing) informed me that if he got one for me he would have to go print it off and made it clear that would be an inconvenience for him. He told me I could look it up online. Trying to not get in the way of my fellow customers while looking up the menu was not an easy task considering my internet took about 3 minutes to load the page. I had to let multiple people go in front of me and left feeling like my needs as a customer did not matter to the staff. Very frustrating and the chicken salad salad was bland. read more
