Seemed like a lot of things were unnecessary. Unfortunately less than a week later my car still wouldn't start leaving me unable to go to work. What exactly was the money I paid for? All I asked was to make my car go from point A to point B. Unfortunately I brought it back and still had to pay for the parts that were actually wrong. They admitted that they didn't test the proper electrical things the original time. Extremely upset that I paid for things that were not absolutely necessary. I never wanted to pay $1000 that I didn't have, but I needed to go to work. Be careful with these people if you do not know a lot about cars and are in a predicament I later had faith in them and brought my car back to have this insane popping noise looked at. They told me it was nothing and that they cut a piece of plastic off my car that was hanging. I later got an oil change at a BASIC oil change place. Within 5 minutes they noticed that a sway bar link was broken. Wondering why they weren't able to see that, because they called me a few times wondering what sound I even heard. I have to wonder if they played me or if they really are just that clueless.

I recently bought a 2024 Subaru Impreza from Jay at Randy's Auto. Jay was fantastic to work with…read more He gave us a great deal, and was very friendly, easy to talk to, and communicative. He shared with us all the details of the car, the accident it had been in, the work they had done to fix it, and was very transparent with it all. I test-drove the car and didn't notice any issues, so I bought it and I drove it home (2.5hrs away). The next day, we noticed a clunking happening in the right passenger front tire. Every time we turned, the clunking was loud. I thought "uh-oh." The deal was too good to be true, and we got screwed. So I called Jay, because he had given me a short warranty on the vehicle. He recommended I get it checked out at a local auto shop which I did. Turns out the CV Axle Shaft was binding up and causing the clunking. So I called Jay, and he said instead of having the shop fix it (which was going to be pretty expensive), he would send a truck to pick up the car (I live 2.5hrs away), bring the vehicle back to his shop, fix the CV Axle and then deliver the car back to me at no charge to us. I was floored that he would do that. Especially considering it was a salvage car, and he didn't really have any responsibility to do that. Jay really demonstrated a tremendous amount of integrity, and was very communicative the entire time, he sent pictures of when it was picked up, pictures of it in the shop getting fixed, and when it was all done. He was proactive in communicating with us, I didn't have to badger or bother him for updates. It was really quite amazing. The car was delivered back, the problem was resolved, and he didn't ask for anything additional from us. I have to say, I'm very impressed. Jay demonstrated a level of integrity and professionalism and just all around nice-ness and good-human-ness that was refreshing and appreciative. I highly recommend him and Randy's auto for purchasing vehicles. You never know what you're going to get out there, and Jay and his team were top notch.

Had to stay at a local Hampton Inn (which was also wonderful btw!) Monday morning I showed up hoping I could get my car looked at that morning as I was trying to get to my sick Dad in Minneapolis. I didn't make an appointment but showed up asking if they could at least inspect the brakes and let me know if was safe to drive home on. They said they were pretty swamped, their first opening being later in the week, but they would at least take a look at it for me. Friday rolled around, the last day they were open before I had to leave, and they called me in the morning letting me know that they inspected the brakes and that they were worn down but that they went ahead and replaced them for me. All of this to say, this garage really cares about their customers and doing a good job. I worked with Cole specifically and he was very helpful and responsive. They charged $425 per hour for extra guys that did nothing but get in and out of the passenger seat of the tow truck! They refused to negotiate on the tow bill and have a policy of holding your vehicle hostage until you pay their extortion.
