This e-bike (electric bicycle) shop is in Ocean Beach. It seems like everyone; young and old has an e-bike and if you don't have one, have you been diagnosed with FOMO (fear of missing out)? Well, when I stroll along any walk path, whether at Balboa Park or here in Ocean Beach's walk path, lots of people are on an e-bike and some have nearly run over me or my pup. So, as the saying goes, if you can't beat them, join them?! I walked in this shop just to look and see and get informed. My first question was what's the priciest e-bike here? Answer: the WEAPON with all the upgrades add ons will put a dent in your wallet $9,999 and you save $$$ if you get the basic for $6k. The WEAPON E-Bike, particularly known in the market as the SUPERHUMAN WEAPON, is a high-performance electric mountain bike designed for serious trail enthusiasts. Weighing approximately 55 lbs, the use of a CARBON FIBER FRAME enhances both strength and agility, allowing for a responsive riding experience. And almost all parts are a challenge to get if the part is out of stock since most suppliers are based in China, who is subject to US tariffs. E-bikes must be used on the street and NOT on walkways/pathways or you can get ticketed by police. Jared was very helpful and informative and I got to look around the shop. The shop was organized and turns out they are authorized dealers of many brands. The shop also sells more affordable $$ e-bikes and are customizable for size and features if upgrades. To conclude, I don't have FOMO and I'm still not convinced I need an e-bike but if I do get one, I would consider this shop because I got great customer service from Jared who was nice and cool. Avoid this place like the plague. EZE Ryders is a scammy, rude, incompetent shop that does not give a single damn about its customers--even if you drop thousands here. I've spent over $9,000 with them in less than a year. What did I get for that loyalty? The worst service I've experienced anywhere. Their service department (especially Omar and the big bearded tech) is openly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They act like it's a burden to do the job I'm paying them for. Examples? Sure. Twice now they've accused me of lying about crashing my commuter e-bike just because my derailleur snapped. Newsflash: On powerful e-bikes, you can snap a derailleur cranking the throttle uphill (like on Cortez Hill). I've done it 3 times on 3 different e-bikes. They apparently have no idea what they're talking about, but they'll stand there and lecture you like they're bike gods. Even if they were right (they're not), who cares how it broke? Your job is to fix it. Their workmanship is a joke. They've given my bike back with loose parts (a safety hazard), failed to fix things correctly on multiple visits, installed parts that don't even fit properly, and left my handlebars filthy. For $9k you'd expect at least basic competence. When they got sick of fixing my old bike (which they never got right anyway), Derrick the sales guy pushed me into buying a new $5,000 bike--telling me it would be "easier for them to work on." That turned out to be a lie too. I even paid extra for their overpriced "warranty package," which Omar later admitted covers absolutely nothing you don't already get from the manufacturer for free. Basically, they sold me a worthless add-on for profit. Most recently, I called Derrick for a same-day cable tension adjustment. He told me the service department was wide open and to bring it in immediately. I got there in ten minutes. Omar was literally scrolling his phone behind the counter, but told me they were suddenly "too busy" and I'd have to come back tomorrow. He also claimed I had too many miles on my brand new $5k bike for them to work on it. What? And then, as always, he couldn't resist blaming me with another laughably wrong "diagnosis"--claiming I ride only in high gear. No, the cable tension was off and the chain was catching. That's why I brought it in. It's your job to fix that, not guess wildly and insult your paying customers. In short: They don't know what they're doing. They don't care about customers. They lie to sell you bikes and worthless "warranty" packages. They do sloppy, dangerous work. And they're shockingly rude the entire time. I've been to this shop a handful of times for my sons E-bike. I don't know much about e-bikes. What I do know is I'd highly recommend this place to my friends and family. Every single time I've came in the customer service is nothing short of great. I've spoken to multiple workers and technicians. Leo, Omar, mechanic with a beard (sorry forgot the name) have always treated my son and I so well. I've never felt like they have tried to upscale or rip me off. In fact, I feel like they are so helpful, upfront with pricing, and give tips/ advice. They always explain things thoroughly to me on what the diagnosis is on the bike, what the parts/ work entails, suggestions and recommendations. This place is fantastic. My experience started with a phone call to Devin, who was extremely helpful and supportive. If he didn't know an answer right away, he consulted a colleague and made sure I got accurate information. The following day, I brought in my son's eBike and was greeted by both Devin and Chris. Chris checked me in and assisted with the service, and he was outstanding--very knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly on top of his game. I came in for a rear tire repair, which they handled quickly and professionally. I also brought foot pegs to be installed, and after taking a look, Chris explained why they wouldn't work--they weren't compatible with the bike. I appreciated the honesty and explanation. I asked several general questions about the Talaria X3, which is the bike I had serviced, and he answered all of them thoroughly. He even helped me load the bike back into my SUV. This is EZEly my biggest regret of 2025. I rarely leave reviews but I'd be doing the rest of the population a disservice if I didn't. From the moment I walked in everyone looked like they wanted to rob me. And they basically did! I brought in my electric bike for what I assumed would be a simple repair. Staff seemed distracted, barely acknowledged me, and didn't take the time to explain what was being done or when it would be ready. After multiple follow-ups (which they mostly ignored), I finally got my bike back -- weeks later -- and it still wasn't fixed properly!!! Then they tried to charge me more than they originally asked for and stared at me like a deer in headlights when I called them out on it. At the very least, I expected my bike to work after going through hell and back. I literally had to take it to another shop and they fixed it no problem. San Diego has no shortage of bike shops. Go literally anywhere else. In fact, you'd be better off getting it fixed right at literally any other business period. McDonald's, State Farm, your local plug etc. read more

I thought it would be great to check out the area on an e-bike. EZE Ryders is in OB, central to Point Loma, sunset cliffs, the San Diego river and Mission beach. There are a lot of bike paths and roads with designated bike paths to explore. I booked some bikes in advance. It turned out to be a cold, windy, rainy day but me and the wife decided to defy the gods and adventure anyway. The reason for a lost star is that my first e-bike had an electrical malfunction just as we made it down the hill to the beach. Pedaling a moped style e-bike uphill without electrical assist is a workout Peloton instructors would be proud of. Once we made it back, the staff was super apologetic and replaced my bike with a mountain bike version. We headed out again with no other issues other than cold hands and cheeks. One word of caution, San Diego is a big city with lots of automobiles. You will have to share the road at some point. We found that most of the drivers in this area were bike-aware but there's always an impatient, entitled jack-wagon somewhere. read more

Chris and Omar diagnosed the problem as a controller issue and reached out to Lectric on my behalf to work directly with them and their warranty process. So how I found out about Devon ... A year ago I saw a couple riding these electric bikes at pier in San Clemente got his number and 3 months later had 2 delivered for myself and hubby. It has now been 1 yr since owning them and we consider them our second car .. which we sold since this purchase ... we ride the beach trails daily ... restaurants at night ( lights on) friends homes San Clemente to Dana Point Trestles, San Onofre and the list goes on. I have had no problems with either bike just tightening brakes/seat on occasion ... I love our bikes so much it was the best investment we ever made living at the beach. My daughter had an issue with her accelerator switch on her super 73. Eze Ryders was 1 of 2 shops that replied to my request via Yelp for service. Chris and Omar are super knowledgeable and very nice! I dealt with Omar in person when we brought the bike over to the shop. He explained to me that Super 73 parts were hard to find! Super frustrating considering that you see 1 million super 73 bikes on the roads! I ended up leaving the bike. Omar said that he would have his expert Chris look at the bike and he would get back to me. Turns out Chris was able to fix the bike with a modified part, and we were back in business! Since we were having issues and parts are hard to find, we decided to sell the super 73. I ended up going back and buying a new Raev bike from these guys because they will be able to service the bike if my daughter has any issues! This was a huge upgrade and a big purchase for Us but we are super happy to give these guys our money because they treated me with such kindness and respect! Omar is awesome! Great guy! I couldn't believe it, I was having problems finding some place to repair my battery in my ebike. Finally, I was referred to Eze riders. I called them this morning with my problem which was a blown fuse in the battery. They not only fixed it but knew what caused it to blow.
